  1. I finally got around to watching this episode and let me tell you-- if my husband ever yelled at me the way Josh yelled at Kristen on the phone I'd fucking kick him he nuts when he walked through the door. Fucking asshole. I think this is spot on. Kristen said in one of the early episodes (the one where she and Josh met for drinks and he was late) that she was nostalgic for their child-free days. So, yeah, I definitely believe they love their children, but neither really wants to give up their freedom to raise them and since Jerky Josh is an "entrepreneur" Kristen is stuck with it.
  2. No kidding. My parents were like, "See you at Thanksgiving. Don't do anything stupid."
  3. I was only half paying attention and had to rewind. I wish they would have given that explanation in the beginning of the episode, so I didn't spend the whole time trying to figure out what had happened.
  4. Chris summed up everything at the final weigh in. He said that it was a Friday night close to graduation and the parents were away at work. David was home watching the younger siblings, but decided he wanted to go hang out with some friends and left. That was when the younger brother broke into the gun cabinet and shot the youngest brother. Then 6 weeks later, David fell asleep before he could give the sister her seizure meds and the next morning they discovered she had died during the night. It seems that maybe the parents worked the night shift, so David was often caring for them.
  5. Doesn't common sense say not to install hardwood or laminate in a gym where weights will be dropped on it? The weight area at my gym is carpeted. Wood flooring seems...stupid. . I agree. Not to veer off topic, but my best friend experienced some "indiscretions" in her marriage awhile back. She promised herself that if she stayed w/her husband that she would forgive and move on. She had a real hard time with that. I remember I visited her not long after they had worked things out and she constantly nitpicked him for everything. I had never seen behavior so passive aggressive. I ended up bringing it up to her and the thing is--she recognized that she was doing it, didn't want to act that way, but couldn't help it. I just see a lot of my friend in how Shannon is acting towards David.
  6. Ok - I haven't see the episode yet, but I read Sonja's blog. Girl is craaazzy. I'm totally going to sign up for her newsletter, tho. I can't wait to see what kind of hot mess it is.
  7. It took me until the end of the episode to realize that Liv Tyler was playing Meg. I thought she was much younger in the book for some reason. And Wayne--I too thought he was an old white guy in the book. I can't remember for the life of me if that's how he was described or I made that up in my mind.
  8. Facialist = Esthetician. My sister is one.
  9. I agree with this. I really didn't think Heather was bitchy at all. I little show off-y, maybe...
  10. Yeah, it's about as believable as the time RHNY Ramona thought she was preggers.
  11. I thought Shannon said that David sent her an email and at the end he suggested that he move out for awhile. I got the impression that there was a whole lot more to the email than "I'm outta here." Who knows though.
  12. That's right. Her smile was "insincere" or something. I'm certain Aviva is toast. She's boring, unpleasant, can't act, barely participates in the trips (if at all), no one likes her, her father is a POS, her husband is a dipshit. I think she's gone and I wouldn't be surprised if Kristen is gone too. She's reminds me of Joyce (RHoBH). Nice, pretty, but kinda boring. Tries to stir up trouble to remain relevant, but in the end winds up being a real snooze.
  13. I seem to remember Ramona, Mario, Aviva, Reid and maybe Sonja standing around and Mario was mocking Jacques's accent. Heather overheard and said something to the group. She and Ramona had words and Ramona ran away from her. Somewhere in there she did tell Mario that Ramona was nuts. It's all a blur. On another note--how did Reid keep a straight face when saying that Aviva downplays her illnesses? Seriously.
  14. From Carole's blog: It sounds like they did tell Sonja they were leaving and she chose to stay. No doubt someone from production was also there, so I doubt she was left flailing drunk at the track. Sonja was just pissed that of all the ladies she's the one who needed money the most and she was the only one who didn't win any. She was having a big, old pity party for one.
  15. Here's the thing--I didn't hate the dress. I think it would've nice on Heather or Kristen or anyone who has a younger vibe about them. Veevs just seems so much older than her years.
  16. Aviva was quite the picture of a school marm at Millou's funeral.
  17. Probably just another "technical glitch."
  18. Word. I'm not a big country music fan and I hated her song choice this week, but I'm rooting for her!
  19. Pfft. I didn't feel bad. She can cry all she wants - I want her gone. I found myself liking Delvin a lot last night and I couldn't really have given two hoots about him before. He had a fun performance. Which means he'll probably be voted off the island tonight. Grimmie was alright. I keep wanting to clip her bangs back, though. The comb over look bugs me.
  20. Anyone can vote during the Twitter Save. The problem with it is that those who aren't on the East Coast (and thus not watching the show live) have to monitor twitter to see who's in the bottom if they want to vote.
  21. TWoPer here--I figure I had better start getting acclimated to my new home! I felt terrible for Shakira last night. She really brought a strong team to the lives and she/they are really going to get screwed. I've watched this show since S1 and do not want another Adam or Blake win. I agree wholeheartedly that Bria and Grimmie need to go. Stat. When Grim started singing on "Sledgehammer" my head jerked up to see who the hell was singing so badly. She just isn't good. Unfortunately, she'll be around awhile. AND...if I hear one more coach say, "How does a voice that big come out of someone so tiny?" I'm going to throw something at the tv. One more thing--if Bria is going to trot that guitar out then she needs to play it. She looked stupid and fake standing there with it.
