  1. I was looking at Kseniya's youtube channel. She also sketches with snow. SNOW!
  2. The cynic in me felt like Michelle got eliminated during the stew room. *Sara, Adrienne, Justin arguing with each other. MIchelle: "Hey guys, we should be encouraging to each other. Let's have a group hug!" :). Producers: "We are going to lose our drama and our ratings! Tom cut her right now!"
  3. Someone was at the taping of the upcoming episode. White team is Justin Eric Adrienne Blue team is Michelle, Sarah, and Eddie Guess there is a QF elimination, and Kelsey got eliminated? Blue team lost.
  4. Kseniya's timing is amazing when you think about it. She has to draw quickly enough to hit certain parts of the music. For example she has to close the parents eyes at the same time once you hear them die in the music. Or changing the boy's face at the same time the song changes. I was actually concerned for her, because the Ukraine got talent, she had a good 8-10 minutes to do an act, while America gave her like 2 minutes to draw everything. Also, its kind of like Shin Lim. If Kseniya accidentally screws up (like accidentally erasing part of her picture), her entire act goes down in flames.
  5. I saw Shin Lim made a comment that the AGT championship rounds started only a couple of weeks after he won. So it was probably really hard for him to create new material in that short amount of time.
  6. Yikes the last group is ridiculously stacked. Hope Shin Lim and Kseniya Simonova (Ukranian winner) better go through.
  7. While I was glad that Michelle won, I did wish that Justin won. Felt like he was one of the few that actually made a dish based on a song, and not the other way around. Seemed like majority of the contestants just shoe horned a dish they wanted to make and thought of a song that went with that. I think almost all of them made a song about their home/life...and then made a dish that they made quite a bit.
  8. I would believe you, if you told me that the judges brought a robot that just said carne as a guest judge. He was pretty entertaining. Its kind of weird with the judges wanted the plates to be hearty and rustic, when it looked like that there wasn't really enough to go around in the first place. Like people said before, Eric had only two heads to serve a large number of people. The interesting thing is, it looked like Michelle was trying to be rustic...and then couldn't cook the large piece of the meat properly because of time restraints.
  9. Had Brian lost, I wonder if everyone would have avoided to win elimination challenges going forward. :D. This is like shades of Top Chef Seattle. The editing of the show has been kind wonky in general. Michelle has this hilarious edit, where she would have this random confessional (about her meditating this episode)...and then just goes invisible for the rest of the episode.
  10. No, she's never said that. In the 60 minute interview, AOC was talking about how she feels the democrats compromise more than she likes. Whoopi is so uniformed in this area. She bashed Justice Democrats, saying they were ageist. Justice Democrats weren't trying to primary elderly democrats, they wanted to primary democrats who take way too much corporate and lobbyist money.
  11. Was thinking about past Restaurant Wars. Ice Cream/Sorbets frozen desserts have been a pretty bad track record. I remember Carla Hall made a sorbet in her season, and it just melted as well. Sarah from S11 made a some form of cream for her dessert and it also melted (and they had to scrap it). Keri, from S13, I think had ice cream for her crepe, that split. Claudette's ice cream was panned pretty badly last year. Its actually not a good dessert to do in RW, because if you need so much time for it to set to be frozen. If you fall behind, is no way of recovering. Also even if you do the dessert properly, you are the mercy of the service people. Especially with the recent seasons, where they hire uninformed temps that is such a high risk of plates just sitting there in a hot kitchen. Panna Cottas, cakes, and tarts seem to be the safer option. I'm always amazed at how Stephanie Izard won being FOH. She made a cheesecake and a pasta dish while being FOH. How did she do that?!
  12. Except it wasn't like that before. A lot of the servers in past RW were experienced. For some reason the past couple recent seasons they all the servers weren't trained. I wonder if future FOH should pull an Alex (from season 7), where they don't make a dish at all and focus solely on FOH.
  13. Yeah I feel like more FOH people are getting eliminated, because as the seasons progress the # of responsibilities and tasks seem to grow as well. Also I've noticed the service staff becomes more and more inept as each season. Fatima last season I remember asked her wait staff, who had experience...and no one raised their hands. One thing Nini could have done to save her dish was to pour the mixture onto sheet trays and freeze them (And do the thai roll up ice creams). They may come out icy, but it wouldn't be a puddle mess.
  14. Noooo! Don't do double eliminations. Someone always get screwed horribly in double eliminations (Nyesha). Does anyone know how does the double elimination work? Is it going to be one from each team, or two from the worst team? It would suck if it is two from the worst team, because it will guarantee the Executive Chef and Front of House will both be eliminated. I think one thing I have noticed in restaurant wars, is that why does it seem like each season, the wait staff seem more and more useless? Is it to purposely cause more difficulty in restaurant wars? I remember in earlier seasons the staff were relatively knowledgeable. Now it seems like they just seem inept. Obviously Nini, didn't do a great job, but it seem like the staff didn't know anything. Last season Fatima was shocked that the staff didn't know everything either.
  15. I would love it if Michelle makes it to the Finals, yet we would only see 10 seconds of her in each episode. It would be like a where's waldo game.
  16. This is my dark horse to win. Not many sand artists on talent shows.
  17. I see. I'm just saying how appropriate, since he's quite the media hog.
  18. Richard's Blais restaurant or show is called "Starving for Attention?" How appropriate.
  19. Seemed like a lot of the desserts didn't really come together. Not surprising, since sharing a small kitchen was probably a nightmare (and having only 2 ovens). Anyone trying to make a souffle or a macaroon (good thing Kelsey had a plan b) was pretty much sunk. I was surprised that no one had pudding that melted. Probably why most people didn't attempt to make ice cream or something cold. I thought people would be constantly opening and closing freezer doors. I guess Nini telling people she will murder them probably prevented that. It also explains why a bunch of desserts looked interchangeable. Some cream/sauce over biscuit or something crumbled on top. Thought Brian should have gone home. A vinegary dessert sounds a lot worse than a salty dessert.
  20. So Bravo did a better job at hiding scenes. Kentucky Basketball Challenge Eric and Brian made it. Justin is going up on an elevator 1:30 People swimming in a pool. Eric, Justin, Kelsey, Sara? Country music challenge at 1:42 Sara, Kelsey, Michelle, Adrienne, David +3/4 hidden people. Looks like nine people total since no one is behind David. I have a feeling Nini got eliminated (since she would be standing in the front since she's shorter). Hopefully not.
  21. In fairness, I did notice that Brandon stood up for Natalie during the trainwreck shopping spree. He was telling people that she still has to have a dish to make, while everyone else sounded like they wanted her give up a lot of her ingredients.
  22. Lol at Tom eating the garnish. Is that how you are supposed to cook pork? Carrie's pork looks underdone.
  23. Funny how Eddie is Nick Elmi's mentor. Since Nick had the reputation of screwing his entire team (yeah I'm still bitter that poor Stephanie got eliminated), because he has immunity. I guess apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I get that Eddie wasn't willing to budge on the lamb. However, I noticed that he wasn't even willing to sacrifice the other ingredients that he was using for the lamb (like his vegetables or the spices. That's pretty messed up. If he was able to give those away, he probably could have chopped 100-150 from his budget, to give the rest of the team some breathing room. I do feel for Natalie, because I'm not sure if the chefs knew they were cooking outside. I wonder if she thought they were cooking inside a kitchen instead of 90 degree weather. I think what she could have done was make a parfait, aka "deconstructed lemon meringue pie". That's what a general trick for baking is. If you screw up baking a cake or pie, make it into a "parfait" or "crumble". Although I'm pretty sure that the judges would probably call her out for doing that. And her cream she made melted. Also, what did David do differently than Eddie? I thought they both buy the same lamb parts, yet David didn't screw his team's budget?
  24. Its been interesting listening to all of the Shin Lim interviews. They've asked him if he thought he had a chance of winning. He said that he was shocked that he won. Apparently all of the finalists were convinced that Michael and Courtney were top 2. When they both got eliminated Shin said that was when he realized he might win. Man the complete pimpage of those 2 must have sucked for the other 8.
