  1. This youtube promo, has a lot of potential spoilers. 1. I think Claudette returns 1:08 (I definitely don't remember her in that scene). 2. Denver Broncos Football challenge. Is this the final 6 at 1:22? L-R (Carrie?, Charlie, Joseph, Tanya?, Fatima, Bruce/Claudette?) This might be actually a final 9 challenge. White-Charlie, Carrie, Tanya Red-Adrienne, Fatima, Carrie Blue-Joseph, Joe, ? (Are wearing medals) 3, Or alternate F6 at :55? (Joseph, Joe, Fatima, Tanya, Charlie, Bruce?) 4. Brother or Tu I think are the next to go. Everyone else is accounted in the medal challenge. I'm leaning towards Brother, because there is a clip of Tu crying (which you would think they would play up for next week's promo).
  2. Really surprised Rogelio, decided to make a salad. I don't think a salad has ever won a challenge. I'm not sure if it was because of the equipment shenanigans (which is the safest dish to make). Felt really bad for Lisa. She obviously should have went home. That really sucked that she wasted like 5 minutes trying to find a nonstick pan (again, why are there not enough pans for everyone?)
  3. The reunion is so self indulgent. Its all about Probst (Me! Me! Me!) and how great he is and the show. I felt like the reunion and this finale (with all the twists) is a complete parody. I thought Caramoan had a bad reunion. This one takes the cake. I understand why Chrissy lost, and I don't bash whoever wins, because at the end of the day they won. However, I really don't care for the nth iteration of the mom/middle age woman getting crushed in the FTC (Monica, Lisa, Dawn, Sherrie, Missy, Carolyn etc.). At least the jury seemed to give her some respect.
  4. The hilarious thing about "fixing" the format is that players are just going to naturally adjust. All of Probst's favorite contestants will just be voted out sooner as a result. Probst hates a specific type of player (UTR females that are very social). He wants to do as much as possible to make sure they don't win. Hilariously, is that this twist, Michele would have still won.
  5. Both. At FTC, he claimed it was for strategic reasons. Which it clearly wasn't. A lot of things Ben did was incredibly petty. One was where he wanted make a fake idol for Chrissy, because it would be hilarious. Lauren stated in her ponderosa video, how essentially their alliance had to talk Ben out of it. I'm not saying Chrissy was all that great (I do tolerate her more, because I understand her field more, and her quirks are something that people can see as very arrogant or fake). I just feel like Ben gets a total pass for his behavior.
  6. Isn't Ben a phony as well? Being completely passive aggressive to Cole. You know if Chrissy did something like that to Cole, she would get crucified for that.
  7. In fairness, Joe was challenging Christy to come up with what she knew about him. So of course she has to respond. And how she responded, wasn't exactly a quantifiable random fact. Looking at Joe's reaction, it didn't seem like it was something she overheard. The other thing was that (granted we didn't see that), no one in the jury refuted her when she said she made bonds with everyone (as opposed to Ryan). Knowing Cole's ACT score was more random information. That was hilarious. The thing I didn't care for Ben at the FTC, was how he was totally exposed for him being petty at Cole. Then he tries to spin it like he's being strategic, and the guy gets a pass for it. Ben holds grudges and is incredibly petty with a lot of his interactions (Joe, Chrissy, etc.), but he seems to get away with it. Because he's a Marine, and anti social. If Chrissy did that, she would get called out for that.
  8. This season just needs to chill with their twists and advantages. We have 8 hidden immunity idols (2 Joe, 3 Ben, 1 Ryan, 1 Lauren, 1 Mike) and 2 advantages (Ryan, Jessica) and probably more if I'm forgetting. Its become a parody at this point. Its like as if SNL is doing a skit on Survivor. I mean the reunion a had a clip highlighting every single idol and advantage given to contestants for crying out loud. You would think production would think the overbundance with idols and advantages would be problematic (especially after Cirie). But they actually think the solution is to be more. Seriously the people who think about this needs to be fired. The game has always been about the social and relationships. It feels like Probst hates the UTR social winner (hate them or not, they are legitimate winners), and is trying to get rid of them. At this rate, we are going to have a season, where every contestant is going to have a HII. Maybe they'll do it like a college meal plan, where they all start off with 50 swipes (HII).
  9. Yeah, really confused about the mushroom peeling. Didn't realize that it was a thing. Totally thought Tu had gone home. That dish looked so bad.
  10. So next week is a sudden death quickfire. It looks like another female is eliminated. Laura (although I could be wrong) Hosea, ew is the judge for the elimination challenge. Its a food truck challenge (looks like 4 teams of 3) These are the people who made it past the quickfire. Black Team-Carrie Yellow Team-Fatima,Tyler, Joe Green Team-Joseph, Bruce, Rogilio Some missing team (Guessing that team wins, because yellow and green are struggling). Future challenges Snow Challenge-Fatima, Tanya, Carrie (EC) Fishing challenge-Joe (QF?) Kid Challenge-Fatima (QF?) Rocky Mountain Oysters-Adrienne, Joe Cooking at a stadium-Christopher, Fatima, Joseph, Bruce? Can't make out the other people Cooking at some field (giant stoves)-Joseph? A quickfire with Richard Blais-Joe Cooking on the street-Adrienne Fatima is cooking with some muslim women. Potential F9 challenge? Olympic Medal challenge-Tanya/Christopher/Joe/Joseph/Carrie/Fatima/Adrienne. Noticed that it is in teams of 3. Red-Fatima, Adrienne, Carrie Blue-Joe/Joseph White-Tanya/Christopher Potential F6? In the promo: Bruce's wife has a baby (Fatima, Tanya, Christopher, both joes are present). The way the camera is angled looks like they are the only people left. Regardless, it looks like Fatima, and both Joes look like they went incredibly far. Based on piecing the clips here are my guesses. 13th Lisa 12th Tyler/Rogilio 11th Brother/Tu 10th Brother/Tu 7th-9th (Adrienne/Carrie and one of Brother/Tu/Tyler/Rogilio)
  11. I definitely get what your saying. I think its hard, because it has been a recurring issue in top chef, where they wouldn't have adequate equipment (and not in a here's a twist kind of way). The Bahamas challenge in all-stars where they had terrible kitchen equipment, and Nina vs Nick, where Nina didn't have an ice cream maker, but Nick had one in his kitchen.
  12. Good episode overall. One thing I was annoyed at how so many chefs couldn't bake or roast, because there were a lack of ovens. Uh, wtf? Maybe top chef should get a bigger budget so they have enough ovens for everyone?
  13. Bernie won Hawaii, which is incredibly diverse by a 70-30 result. The point isn't whether or not Bernie should have won/lost. Could Hilary win? Of course. She could have won the primaries even without the shenanigans (which makes it even worse). The main point is the fact that the DNC is supposed be a neutral moderator during the primaries, and they weren't. Donna Braziile leaked questions to Hilary's campaign before a debate. There was voter suppression in several democratic primary states (Nevada was one). They limited the number of debates to just 6 debates (wheras the republican party had around 20...which is about the same amount that the democrats had in 2008), which helps candidates with bigger name recognition (So it also stacks the deck against Jim Webb, Mike O Malley, and Lincoln Chafee). Not to mention that there are a lot of structural issues with the DNC. A lot of closed-primary states. New York just had a deadline for the Democratic Primaries for 2018 election last week, which makes 0 sense if you want more people interested in your party (And the fact there are more people who consider themselves independent than democrats). The use of superdelegates is incredibly undemocratic, and is used to push or stop momentum. The DNC chair (Tom Perez), just kicked out everyone on his team that was a Bernie supporter or a Keith Ellison supporter. Whoopi is so annoying. She always acts like she's the expert. When clearly the other panelists are a lot more knowledgeable than she is.
  14. Just finished watching the second episode. It was incredibly entertaining. The tribal council and the reward challenge.
  15. No one is watching the Australian Survivor (season 4)? The second episode was amazing. Crazy tribal council. Also was not expecting uh the lack of censoring in the reward challenge.
  16. I like it so far. Small random things that kind of annoyed me so far. 1. Why are the contestants folding their voting papers horizontally? That is driving me crazy. 2. The double tribal council, without a challenge is crap. So of course one of the first bootees, is essentially judged by outer appearance. It also doesn't help that apparently contestants were talking to each other before the game started, which totally takes away the point. 3. The host butchering the pronunciation of Nicaragua. The opening challenge was pretty hilarious though.
  17. Survivor New Zealand is airing.

    Fix The Show

The challenge they need to bring back is Fallen Comrades (every once in a while). This was the trivia challenge that they do at F4 in Borneo to Marquesas (about what they know about the people that they voted out). Vecepia broke the challenge, because she brought a journal. It is a good challenge to see who is a good social player, and who was the best in getting to know people and cultivate relationships. I feel like this would be an amazing ego bruiser, for all the people like Russell, Zeke, and all the "Big moves player". It would have been hilarious to see Russell completely whiff this challenge in front of the entire jury.

    S34: Zeke Smith

Contestants like Zeke, why I hate modern survivor and the direction its going. You now have all these people who are all about "Big Moves!", and overplay like crazy.

    Fix The Show

I don't know if anyone watched Koh-Lanta (French Survivor) or the Phillipines Survivor. But both of those countries had a twist called the black vote. The black vote is that the person who gets voted out, and gets to cast one extra vote against someone. That extra vote gets casted in the next tribal council (unless that person wins immunity, or tribe wins immunity). While most of the times that extra vote is inconsequential, it had made a difference in who goes home. It does make things interesting, in that you don't want to be the figure head that backstabbed the last person, otherwise you will likely get the extra vote.

    Fix The Show

In terms of storylines though F2 have been more compelling. The generally most memorable scenes happen during F3 vote out. -Vee backstabbing Kathy ruthlessly, right after Kathy gets eliminate. -Johnny Fairplay gets owned by Lill in the endurance challenge. -Rob Cesternino desperately trying to get a deal with Jenna. -Tom/Ian F3 immunity showdown. The other issue with F3, is that so many of the final votes have been so incredibly non suspenseful. We've rarely had a close F3 vote. We had two blowouts in the past three seasons with Jeremy and Adam winning. There have been a lot of F2 very close votes in contrast. Yeah people hate F2, because the "most deserving" loses, but its pretty compelling watching two people duke it out in the finals and the jury forced to vote the "lesser of two evils".

    Fix The Show

It will be pretty trainwrecky, for Probst to read 16 or 20 votes in one sitting especially if there aren't that many set alliances. "That's 5 votes stephen, 3 votes ciera, 2 votes Kass, 2 votes Andrew, 1 vote Tasha, 1 vote Abi....."

    S34: Hali Ford

I know this episode was totally dominated by Varner and Zeke. But Hali got metamorphosis! Impressive.
  24. So apparently JT killed a goat and was the one who suggested it, not Sandra. http://ew.com/tv/2017/04/06/survivor-sandra-diaz-twine-game-changers-goat/

    S34: Tai Trang

I feel like him and JT are very similar. They are kamikazes. They wreck their own games, along with everyone that is close to them.
