I'm surprised she didn't immediately call Rick and let him have it. And after her official diagnosis, she certainly needed to let him know before he could spread it to others. I assume she knows that she has not done so (spread it.) (Now that would be an embarrassing conversation.) One is the woman who owns the bar, who Sam sees at the beginning of her shifts, and the other is a nightly patron who is probably an alcoholic. Sam likes her dog. She might even qualify for food stamps. But that won't pay for alcohol or gas. Trish said she got her health insurance. If by that she means she's paying the premiums for Sam, that's a notable expense.

They are renting out the farmhouse on behalf of their parents, and using the rent money to pay the assisted living home where their mother lives. Joel rented out his house and paid Sam some money to live with her, sleeping on her couch. That's why Sam has less money now that Joel is living with Brad. "Iceland" is definitely interested in Sam. He came all the way to the bar to give her the check as a pretense to see her. He didn't even want a drink.

I enjoyed the third episode. I'm pretty sure you could skip to that one.

Oh, he was definitely going to drain everyone as the HR guy telling inappropriate jokes. Doesn't he have to bore them to drain them? Not enrage them or annoy them? But then Colin basically beat him up, with a break in between. With conventional vampires, Guillermo was able to anticipate their every mood, as if he had foreknowledge or a spidey sense. This is my inclination. The writers have a good understanding of their own lore, so I doubt they screwed up. Nor did I.

So deleting a video from your phone would definitely not delete its existence. In fact, it would be far safer than my phone, where a person might use my finger to gain access to my Trash and delete it from there. However, the police might never find your backup device or cloud account, so you really should entrust someone with that information, in case you are throttled by an angry chef.

S01.E03: Weird Stuff You Can’t Explain

I was prepared to find out that the chaplain was actually Jewish and didn't want to say so (his sect was "private") because St. Denis has mostly Christian patients. It's true that Gehazi and Elisha are from the Hebrew Bible, but anyone could make a mistake, but it would explain not knowing about Paul. But that was ruined with the fake divinity school. That's straight up fraud. This episode was very good. I really like David Alan Grier in this role. I don't believe that that giant cross would have been allowed in the surgical suite. -
Is it possible that only is triggered by attacks from conventional, blood-sucking-type vampire ? I don't think we've ever seen him attacked by an energy vampire before. Would Guillermo have any advantage if he were fighting a human with a knife? Colin must really have wanted to help Guillermo, since he didn't seem to have taken the opportunity to drain the other office workers while he was there.

So Colin Robinson is overly sensitive to allegations that he has mental health issues? I suppose the doctor was so confused by Lazlo, he didn't think to recommend that Sean see an internist for blood pressure medication? That's usually a good place to start when you have sky-high BP.

1) Malcolm, in his interview, said he started the duck at midnight 2) Veev, in her interview, said she went downstairs around 1 am when she was "ambushed," which fits more or less with her flipping the duck at 1:30 3) She would have set the oven alarm for about 3 am 4) The staff arrived shortly after the police. It was in the morning, after Kaya and Elsbeth's normal work day had started. Probably not before 8 am. 5) So the duck would have been in the oven (whether cooking or not) for at least 8 hours 6) I think after Veev "flipped the bird" at 1:30, she probably did pass out/fall asleep until the police somehow knew to come. I'm definitely willing to believe she gave herself a concussion. But, she might also have been feigning it, waiting for the staff to arrive and find her 7) How did the police even know to come to the restaurant? (Certainly not because someone tried to make a delivery, entered an unlocked door and found Veev on the floor.) It wasn't the staff, because they arrived after the police were on the scene, and were shocked at the attack. (see #4) I think she did turn on the dishwasher You're right. It was a quick movement, but she did. Although she got rid of her fingerprints that way (when she took off her glove to delete the photograph, I knew that her fingerprint on the phone would later be used as evidence against her), but there's no doubt in my mind that the tenderizer would have been matched to the wounds. The value of that was that the assailant didn't come into the kitchen with a weapon, but grabbed what was there, so possibly a crime of passion (or someone who was both familiar with the kitchen and knew how to run a commercial dishwasher.) If I were to get more picky: I also think that the gloves that Veev used to strangle Jordan would still be there, with her DNA on the inside and his on the outside, unless she had the presence of mind to stick then in a pocket and then dispose of them once she left the precinct. There would have been evidence of latex, or whatever the gloves were made of, in Jordan's neck, I would presume, and no fingerprints, so the police would at least look for gloves, examine the kind of glove used in the kitchen, etc. I was at least impressed that Veev didn't explicitly confess to the crime once she was handcuffed, unlike almost every other arrestee on this show. I was surprised that the detective asked her about the video while putting on the handcuffs (before saying to save it for the trial), because anything Veev had said just then would have likely been inadmissible without having received Miranda warnings. I'm curious; what if you lose your phone or it breaks in such a way that you can't transfer anything to a new one? Do you manually back up just the photos you want every day, or transfer them to a physical memory device?

Yes, her presence was not invaluable before then. If it were, how would she ever be able to leave?

S01.E02: A Very Robust Personal Life
ItCouldBeWorse replied to chitowngirl's topic in St. Denis Medical
I agree that the show wasn't implying that Bruce was a transplant surgeon, but, instead, that Matt (the RN) was inferring that he was. Matt's part of the conversation with Bruce: "If I were an organ donor, would you try less hard to save me so you could, you know, use my organs?" "Uh, I was just worried it'd be too tempting to let me die." "Well, I mean, I'm just one little life but if I died, you know, somebody would get my lungs, my kidneys, my heart. I mean, you would save, like, a dozen extra people." I took that to mean that Matt thought that Bruce would be personally transplanting the organs that could save "a dozen extra people" because Matt is such an ill-informed person, he actually believed Bruce would have such a major personal stake in a potential organ-donor situation. But I could be mistaken. I'm not going to try to convince you to watch more of it, but Superstore got pretty funny, with great background customer bits and a lot of very funny actors. Bruce, the surgeon had a recurring role as a pharmacist on Superstore. St. Denis is much less funny, so far than Superstore. (But it's still early.) That is true, but parts of it were still very funny to me. There's also little chance that the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin from The Office would have been profitable, with so many employees doing basically nothing (despite Michael apparently being an excellent salesman.) -
In some places, garbage won't be collected if it's loose in the bin, and recycling won't be collected if there is general trash in there. I did notice that Colin threw his trash into the recycling bin.) I've heard people complain about dog owners dumping their bags of poop in other people's trash cans as they walk by. (If the cans are out after trash day, the poop will sit there for a week, stinking up the can) or recycling bins (so the homeowner has to remove it.) Or throwing their general trash in strangers' bins. Thank you! I kept trying to figure out who she reminded me of at various points in the show. I would never have figured out it was Jane Leeves. It's a little unusual that one sister had a strong English accent.

S01.E05: Thanksgiving

She was also working at the church before she was fired because the family needed the extra income. It wouldn't be enough to make up for George's paycheck. If Georgie and Mandy move in, water and food bills will go up. They're probably not paying Mandy's parents anything for living with them, so they can save up. Plus, they have their own bathroom. It would work out better if Georgie and Mandy just gave Mary money if she needed it, and stayed with her parents. -

She also thought it was weird to talk to her father's grave after Georgie suggested it, but was glad she did it. She was pretty naive to think Mary would never discover her tattoo, but she could have done a better job hiding it so soon after getting it. Georgie is savvy enough to figure out that that's how Mandy got Missy to come to dinner. I wonder if he will be mad at her about it, or even mention it. 100%. True, but according to Meemaw, Georgie and Missy, she's been ignoring Missy since George died. Even though Georgie is married and over 18, he's still young and doesn't ask her for much. (Not saying she needed to make Thanksgiving herself.) Although no one has asked, I'm going to cautiously conclude that George had an insurance policy of some sort. Georgie got George's truck (instead of it being sold) and Mary and Missy are still in the house, which has a mortgage. Sure, they're spending less on beer and food without George, Sheldon, Georgie and Mandy around, but George's salary was surely far greater than their grocery bill and George's gas (and possibly insurance) for his truck. But it's still early. Perhaps we'll have an episode where Mary's finances are addressed. -
I hope people know in real life, that deleting a video or photo from the phone of someone who takes them frequently probably only sends it to a trash folder where it will be easily recoverable for 30 - 60 days. TV detectives often don't. Elsbeth made it sound like some random kitchen took was used in Jordan and Veev. Even if the meat tenderizer was washed (did Veev also turn on the dishwasher?), it leaves very distinctive marks which should be easily matched. I'm having trouble with the timeline. Malcolm starts the duck around midnight? Veev confronts and kills Jordan, batters and throws herself down the stairs, and the timer goes off (after 1.5 hrs?). She gets up to flip the duck, sets the timer for another 1.5 hrs, and passes out. The kitchen staff arrive in the morning and finding Veev, call the police. The duck is still roasting, and the oven turns off. The staff did not come in at 3 am. Did Veev let the duck sit for 4 hours and then roast the other side?

Yes, and the investigator hired by Dickies' father raised the very important issue of where Tom's money came from (unlike Marge, he could follow up any claim about a bequest from Aunt Dot), but dropped it as soon as he heard that Dickie was supposedly gay. Tom was awfully lucky that none of the photographers following "Dickie" got a good shot of him.

Yes, he's too naive. I guess he's never had a television. With regard to his concern that the surgeon might be too eager to remove organs from him to transplant into someone else: 1) St. Denis doesn't seem like the kind of hospital performing organ transplants. It's highly specialized and requires a special team 2) Bruce is not a transplant surgeon. That's a subspecialty requiring extra years of training. If he were, he wouldn't be working at St. Denis -

Sure. Not a life insurance claim for the person they killed, though.

I had some logical issues with this episode: 1) When Captain Wagner said: "The ME suspects that the victim polished the cups and didn't properly wash them out before using them" I had to rewind (wasn't watching it live) because it was so ridiculous. No one uses silver polish on china tea cups. No one. Not an expert, not a novice. No ME, police officer, or anyone who heard of silver polish would entertain that as a possibility. Didn't Roslyn leave her spoon near Claude's cup to imply that he had stirred his tea with it after polishing it, while it still contained polish residue? Why didn't the ME just come to that conclusion? 2) Instead of making up the story about having her candlesticks polished, why not just leave her silverware there, with the one teaspoon on the cup? Was she really going to sit and wait for Claude to polish a service for 12 (which I doubt he would be doing personally, but ok)? It would take hours to polish it, wash off the residue (to prevent cyanide poisoning!), and then dry it thoroughly. It's just as believable that he would use a client's newly-polished but poorly washed spoon to stir his tea as it is that she would sit there watching him polish the entire set. She was also very lucky that Claude was so trusted that there was no video surveillance on that floor. 3) It is very rare that a silverware set "matches" a china set. They're usually made by different companies. Therefore, the fact that the teaspoon Claude supposedly used didn't match his teacup was not a clue. (They also never said that Roslyn would have had to have purchased her silverware set at Vivienne's in order for Claude to polish it, but I guess the implication of them trying to establish that she had gotten it there was that they provided free polishing of purchases for club members.) 3) Nothing to do with the actual case, but why was the lottery lunch set up for 3 people? Did the winner get to bring a guest? Did he choose 2 winners? Did Elsbeth win twice because she had 2 tickets? Did he assume that Kaya/Elsbeth wouldn't come without the other one so he added an extra place setting?? Why didn't he tell them which one of them had won? Then I wondered why the milkshakes were in milkshake glasses. Did Captain Wagner insist that the restaurant provide glasses into which he decanted the takeout cups of milkshake? Did he purchase glasses in order to do so? 4) I'm pretty sure that Roslyn would also have been loaned a bracelet or two to show off at the party 5) Not a logical issue, but I really hope that Adrian Martinez turned off the water to the 5th floor toilet before he started swapping out gems for Beyoncé Well, she did murder Claude in cold blood. And I doubt the police were going to take a criminal complaint from an alleged murderer just then. Although she will need one in order to file an insurance claim.

I liked her hair better with the bangs. And curly bangs aren't supposed to be even. Mac did such a good job of ripping open the neckline of her dress, she turned it into a perfectly finished V-neck. I also don't understand why everyone thinks Danny specifically told Mac to kill Sonny. Sure, he stuck the gun in her bag, but Sonny also attacked Mac from behind while wearing a werewolf mask. She wouldn't have known who he was, and was merely defending herself. I'm not even sure that the drugs caused her to actually fire the gun. Is the show saying that her memories of the shooting are completely false, and that she shot Sonny while he was wearing the mask and not attacking her, because Danny told her to while she was suffering the drug's effects? Do tattoo artists actually tattoo people who act drunk? Seems like it could really come back to bite them. Mac shot Sonny in an alley very close to the bar where she broke the bartender's nose, but she actually did it after leaving the nightclub with the monkey? I guess the 2 places were geographically close? Here you go: https://wornontv.net/473502/

Lazlo would probably have been a pretty good father, apart from the likelihood that he would have taken a son to a brothel by the time he was 10. I'm not sure why Nadia was so afraid of a gun-any damage would have been temporary, although I suppose it would hurt.

I thought that it didn't make sense that according to the flight manager who asked them to sign, the police had asked for the waiver. The police weren't running the mission or encouraging anyone to go into space, so had no standing or reason to ask for a waiver. It's the flight program that needs the waivers to diminish the likelihood of a successful lawsuit. The writers had no reason to frame the request that way, even though it was a fake request. Speaking of not making sense, I know we are not seeking perfect realism from this show, but it makes no sense that Elsbeth is the one removing batteries from hoverboards or otherwise getting personally involved in the chain of evidence. She should be observing (and I suppose offering advice), not performing police duties, even simple ones. Having worked in the NYC criminal justice system, I can easily imagine how a cross-examination of whoever is testifying about a piece of evidence by a defense attorney would go (assuming the defendant went to trial instead of taking a plea, and hadn't actually confessed.) Let's take the hoverboard example: "Officer so-and-so, please tell us about the battery in the hoverboard." "Well, we took it out and found the point of a space pen...." "We?" "Actually, it was Ms. Tascioni who took it out." "Who is Ms. Tascioni?" "She's a lawyer sent by the Justice Department under a consent decree to observe the Police Department." "Why did the Justice Department send Ms. Tascioni to observe the Police Department?" "Well, there had been some corruption in the Department." "Some corruption?" And off to the races they'd go with questions that would raise the specter of massive police corruption in the eyes of the jury, possibly enough to cause at least one juror to have a reasonable doubt about the defendant's guilt. Whereas, if Elsbeth was actually observing, instead of doing, her name and the previous finding of corruption might not come up at all. This show is extremely unlike real life in that the arrestees all seem to confess to Elsbeth, which would make the corruption argument more difficult. It's a more satisfying ending for a show like this, but not realistic for educated people who have no doubt watched Law and Order and know they shouldn't say anything before speaking to a lawyer. Have we seen an episode where the perpetrator maintained their innocence after Elsbeth solved the case instead of immediately confirming her conclusion? Another little thing, but I don't even get why Neal was called "Snoozer." Before it was explained, i thought that perhaps he had fallen asleep publicly at Davos. But, no, Angela Merkel was the snoozer. She should have been the one who was embarrassed. I'm sure she's heard plenty of boring stuff before without falling asleep. I guess Neal was so sensitive, Gavin's lame insult worked, but it really shouldn't have.
