  1. And Steve Martin is 16 years older than Jackie Hoffman (Uma), despite his unwillingness to consider himself "her age." Last time we saw him, he was out on bail wearing an ankle monitor, correct? I wonder if anything has changed. And yes to the last part. Here's an idea: ask the Deaf actor to raise his hand whenever he can't see what his costars who are in a conversation with him are saying. Or if that's too much pressure on him while also reciting his lines, have a Deaf coordinator on the set to do it. I didn't get that either. It didn't bother me so much when she did it with Theo, because she was just teasing him (I think he was fine with it, and "nerd" generally applies to fans of the superhero genre more than it does to the teenage cop genre), but it would have been a perfect way to interact knowledgably with Dickie. But then we would have been deprived of Mabel trying to interpret what Theo was signing, although I'm not sure that Theo would have been able to clearly see Dickie asking all those questions, anyway. I believe so. I'm not sure that Uma notices (non-famous) people who don't directly affect her. She's pretty self-centered.
  2. Who seemed relatively unperturbed that 2 sandbags fell with no obvious explanation. Agreed. Also agree.
  3. Joy eventually explained that while she was in Ben's dressing room covering his slap mark "I'm guessing that my lipstick fell out of my clutch when I was back there." That makes no sense, because it wasn't her personal lipstick; it was one of many in her work container of lipsticks. Normally, I might think she was lying, but I really don't think she wrote the lipstick message on the mirror, so I think it's just a mistake in the script.
  4. Yes! I was internally screaming, put that tooth in a glass of milk or salt water and find an emergency dentist ASAP! For a tooth that falls out naturally, it's very sweet. For a mature tooth that might be reimplantable, it's ridiculous (to me.) Yes, the odds of him losing a tooth that way do not seem overwhelming, and she gave him back the tooth (unless you think she switched them). She could get DNA off his fork or glass if she wanted to and they slept together, so she had access to abundant DNA. Seems like the easiest way to me! Just say you are going to draw a bath.... I think you are correct. I totally want one.
  5. I also thought it strange that Paul wouldn't have discussed Luke using the car while he and Ally were away, instead of Luke having to call him in Malta to get permission. Also, I'm not sure why Luke shared his meal with Maya instead of just offering to switch so she could have a full portion. And if he didn't like blue cheese, I'm sure there was something in his own kitchen that he could have eaten. (Somewhat strange that Italian food had surprise blue cheese, but ok.)
  6. They never came across as particularly nice people. Very self-involved.
  7. I wish that Luke had told Maya that he turned down the admission because he didn't want to miss their baby's daily life.
  8. That's true, but there doesn't seem to be any reason why a non-electrical neighborhood Pride Parade would be held after dark.
  9. How did Lazlo instantly recall the date of the conversation? Does he have a photographic (videographic) memory?
  10. Yes, it's disappointing. Yes, but since Vaseline wouldn't dissolve in/mix with club soda, there's no real way Kimber got the Vaseline into those teeny bottles. It would have been better if she had said olive oil and club soda, but I guess Vaseline is funnier. Yes! That greatly disturbed me.
  11. The Guide said that the 4 vampires were going to remain in the basement cages forever. What about when the mistress of the mansion returned home? I was surprised that Nandor wasn't also furious that everyone else had kept Guillermo's secret from him; they were more loyal to Guillermo than they were to him (although I suppose they could explain it by saying that they knew Nandor would kill himself after killing Guillermo and they didn't want to see that happen.) I wish that Guillermo had told Nandor that he hadn't known the rule about a familiar only being turned by his master/mistress. Why didn't anyone remove the stake from Derek? Did it have to stay that way? (Have we ever seen a staked vampire turn to dust or otherwise disintegrate in other episodes? Do the bodies always remain intact?)
  12. I don't remember in this episode specifically, but she often wears one that says "kindness."
  13. After being dug up, he was actually living in the NJ house with the Sire and the hellhound (in his crispy state) before Nandor restored him: https://whatwedointheshadows.fandom.com/wiki/Baron_Afanas
  14. I was really surprised that when the friends told Ally that they thought she would have split from Paul by now, she didn't tell them that instead, they had got married only half a dozen or so years ago! It seems like the show forgot that Ally and Paul were "partners", not "spouses" for a very long time. That may well be the reason the friends assumed that she wasn't with Paul now; under normal circumstances, it might have been in the best interest for a new mother to be married to the father of her child, but she hadn't wanted a legal commitment to Paul back then, so she must have had a reason.
  15. Apparently not, because he is putting the relationship on hold until Wyatt is 20, or "out of his teens" as if 20 is the magic number. And then he says that his current 20 year-old needs him around most of the time?
  16. Luke and Ava shared the 2nd bedroom until he moved to the basement, leaving Ava with her own bedroom.
  17. Yes! And lots of comments about how good they look for 60 year-olds. But they'd have to age Rock, Lily and Brady. Especially Rock.
  18. And I couldn't help but contrast the shot of the cab screeching to a halt for Miranda at night with the cab that ignored Herbert Wexley and the little girls in the daytime.
  19. I assume she's going to need her mother's help. She's very young, and won't know anybody there besides Luke, who will have school and homework and no baby experience. (I assume that she will be taking a break from school.) That's not a good setup.
  20. Any recipient could have given it to someone else. I doubt most of them were particularly impressed by the gift. Now why that someone else would want to kill Ben is another issue.... Exactly. He was examined and diagnosed at home? No hospital tests? Or we missed the hospital visit, and now he has a doctor who pays house calls and provides a heart monitor (at the behest of his son, the veterinarian)? This seems very unlikely, even in Manhattan. Concierge doctors replace office visits, not hospital visits. The cookies were at the read-through, 4 months before opening night. Agreed. We also don't know that it was actually blood coming out of his mouth during his "first death". I assume it was theater blood.
  21. Even though the Manchester course is an amazing opportunity, he needs to be there with Maya and the baby. It doesn't mean he has to settle for a lousy college. But perhaps his academic performance hasn't been great, so it's either a program that he is uniquely skilled for, or something mediocre. I would imagine that London would also have music tech programs, though, even if not as exclusive as the one in Manchester.
  22. Yes! Even if it's a young child. It's become instinctual.
  23. Guillermo said that he doesn't want to kill innocent creatures. I guess if he eventually does turn all the way (which I doubt he will), he will have to source murderers and other villains for food.
  24. She (or he) probably used birth control up to the point where she thought she wasn't fertile anymore-perhaps she hasn't menstruated for a year or so. As she said to Charlotte: "How did this happen? I thought I moved out of Babyville, but apparently, I still live right on the border." These things happen. Because Aidan is thinking if I wasn't up here in NYC playing house with Carrie the accident wouldn't have happened. Exactly. Wyatt had asked him to come home after he got into the fight with his mother and he didn't, so he feels guilty. That's normal. Wyatt's still a kid, and he could have died. Yes. Regarding opinions that this is all his mother's fault because it was her week with the kids, unless you put locks on all the doors that a 14 year old can't figure out, he can run away if he really wants to. And parents don't have a magical ability to know where their teen is every second. And the older brothers can't and shouldn't have to, either. Perhaps Aidan shouldn't have left the keys to his truck where Wyatt could find them. But of course, neither of them anticipated this. As to why Wyatt is acting out more now than before; he's 14. He's likely going through puberty and being flooded with hormones, on top of whatever mental issues he has. And if Aidan had flown home this time, the next time Wyatt had a fight (possibly with Aidan), he might have done something equally as dangerous. Yes, he needs therapy, and I'm sure he'll get it, following the investigation into how the accident happened. Why would she agree to go to the hospital if she was responding the way she would expect to if she had taken an abortifacient? Why would she lie to the husband who left the decision up to her? That doesn't make any sense.
