Thanks so much for the clip. Pardon my ignorance, but I want to clarify: Ms. Crawford is playing the daughter in this clip; is that correct? Thanks again for that gem.

Sweet Home Oklahoma - General Discussion
Maccagirl replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Sweet Home Oklahoma
Love this show and so excited when I see it in my DVR list of newly recorded episodes! Thankful for the genuine friendships, and the honesty of the marriages, addiction problems, etc. I really adore Angie's (Pumps) partner in crime, Kay. Those two are a riot and a half. I understand what a few others are saying about 1 or 2 episodes being a little too slow for their interest, however that begins the slippery slope that the Real Housewives and other reality based shows have traversed. I'll take a little slowness, even boring, mixed in here and there instead of being treated like an idiot viewer expected to watch all the producer driven, non-realistic shenanigans. I'll GLADLY take Jen and Josh over Vicki Gunvalson Brooks Ayers. I'm THRILLED to watch Angie, Esq. instead of Phaedra Parks, Esq. As much as I do not like or endorse the sippy cups for teens, I'll watch Angie's kids sipping sugar free kool-aid over Lynn Curtain's train wreck daughters any day. Now I just need to figure out how I can relocate my job to OK, so I can move next door to them. I promise not to cut down any trees, without first knocking on a door!!- 292 replies

You summed up my feelings on this episode and show pretty well; thank you!

Thanks to your link, Growsonwalls, I stumbled upon this comparative viewing

I never enjoyed Jessa, but hoped the actress was that good of an actress that she was totally different from Jessa. Unfortunately for me, I watched the cast on "Inside the Actor's Studio" and now dislike Jemima even more than Jessa. Your adjective of "smug" is spot on in describing her, at least with the way she presented herself on that platform.

Hi Chicricket: Thanks so much! That is so odd. I didn't even think about Dish on Demand - thanks for mentioning that.

Yes, we have the G-550 and the G-650. They are both spectacular, but the G-6 was well worth the wait of several years. Thanks for the info on what Tom has; great aircraft, but not for the distance to Hong Kong. -

I could not agree with you more. Dorit has been giving little jabs to Erika from the start (or at least that's the way the show captures it and presents it). I can see that Erika is all done with giving Dorit any more allowable passes, and is ready for the smack down. I hope she gives Dorit what she has coming, and smacks the fake phony accent out of her. -

I worked for a company that has 2 of the largest private jets made by Gulfstream. Only the brand-spanking new one can fly that nautical distance. I am not sure what type of jet Tom has, and how many it seats (esp. for a long flight where you would want to sleep). Plus, perhaps he was using it, and it was not available. I also don't think many people realize how expensive it is to take a personally owned jet somewhere. You have so many unknown costs with airport rules, especially when flying overseas. To give you a rough estimate, it averages around $10k/hour. -

Can I get an amen! Thank you for helping me realize I was not imagining or mis-remembering all those instances. Dorit may not literally state the exact words, but she "implies" ah-plenty, and she knows it; damn well knows it. -
Odd question - but couldn't think of a better place to ask! My colleague has DirecTV and has seen both episodes 1 +2. I have DISH TV and have only seen episode 1 so far. My guide shows episode 2 will air on March 19th, instead of March 12th as it should have aired. I set my DVR to tape ALL episodes, not just new ones, just in case the episode "info" was incorrect. I have approx. 12 recordings of episode 1, none of episode 2. Has anyone else with DISH as their provider seen episode 2 yet? Thanks for helping me to try and solve this mystery.

Standing slow clap for your words above which I bolded. I never heard that expression before, and it is not one of my all time favorites. Thanks for giving me a well needed, burst out loud, laugh!- 368 replies

S02.E09: Finale, Part One
Maccagirl replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Project Runway: Junior [V]
Kitty Redstone, I give you a standing slow clap for your post. I agree with your whole post, and especially love your comment about Hawwaa challenging beauty norms. While I am not brave enough myself to ever think of that, never mind attempt it, I applaud girls/women who are themselves and celebrate it. Thank you for supporting women, and not expecting everyone to have to conform to the status-quo. THANK YOU, from a Mom to teen-aged girls. You win the internet award!!! I was really rooting for Tieler, but your comment summed up my opinion of his collection. While it was sewn beautifully, there was not much "runway-show" in the design. -
The slim number of comments on this forum really shows how quickly this show is tanking. I have viewed since season 1, and am nearing the end of what I can absorb these days as "reality" TV. This is so highly scripted and producer driven, it really ruins it. It's hard to believe both "Minis" tied with one another - REALLY?

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet; I haven;t had a chance to read all the posts yet. Did anyone else notice Klassy fashionista Marlo asking about "pacificially" instead of "specifically"? I thought I misheard, so I backed it up and listened again, and she clearly stated PACIFICIALLY instead of specifically. I turned on closed caption to see if they would have corrected her, and nope!! Closed captioning typed and displayed her superior vocabulary skills. What a Klassy broad. Perhaps the LABELS she should be concerned with to have hanging in her house are VOCABULARY words plastered all around, complete with pronunciation guidelines. SMH.

Yes, yes and yes. I do not want to vacation at a hormonal, immature frat party.

Leighroda: re: Chloe vs. Elianna: Exactly my point, and I guess I did not state it so clearly. Had Chloe offered the same apology, she would most likely been lambasted. The way Abby treats one student so differently from another (or at least the way it is portrayed) is horrifying. I can see having your favorites to a point, but to treat them so differently, sometimes to the point of bullying, is unjust.
-
Elianna was brave to go to Abby and apologize for her Mother's actions. I can only imagine what would have happened if Chloe had done the same a few seasons back? You never know with Abby.

DaisyfieldS500: So eloquently stated, thank you. As an upper middle income white woman, I will truly never fully "get it", but I do try to understand racism's impact and brevity. Thank you for explaining to help us all understand a bit better.

I adore Kyle's realism in her house. You can tell they actually LIVE there. I LOVED the bright pink sewing machine in her kitchen. Thanks for keeping it as real as you can on a reality show based in Beverly Hills, Kyle. mwah. -
You win the internet award for this post! I snorted out loud reading it!! Thank you for the visual and giggles.
