  1. Then the show needs to stop trying to sell character growth for Dean. True character growth wouldn't be Dean playing his part it would him standing his ground and actually pointing out he was outvoted about taking out Michael.
  2. This is why none of the subtext matters. Its step one in handing the story line off to someone else. In the end all I see is once again a Dean storyline fizzling out without a cathartic ending where he gets to take on Michael and win. We know Deans' barely in next week's episode, so I'm guessing that Michael is going to come very close to getting out and Dean gets benched by supreme leader Chief Sue. Or Michael does get loose with a vague promise of "I'm coming back for you"
  3. I agree. The start of the clip when Dean said "that's what I'm supposed to say" I thought for a second Dean might actually be allowed verbalize what actually happened. I was getting ready to order Yockey a fruit basket. Then SPN took hold again. and once again Dean backs down like is usually made to back down in these situations. Because to let him speak the words shows that the end of prophet and loss actually sucked and wasn't this beautiful moment the show tried to portray it as.
  4. Sneak Peek. I knew the end of Prophet was and Loss was going to go this way. Just like I said, Dean's back to blaming himself, and not being allowed to verbally voice the words that guilt tripped him into not going through with his plan. No Cas its not on "us" (as in Dean ). Its on you and Sam. Period. Dean had a plan and was willing to go through with it until you and Sam both called him a weak quitter and punched him to make him behave. Seriously, shut up Cas. How can you help Dean, its not like you can reinforce the door.
  5. I find it very disappointing that not a single writer, nor the show runner bothered to wish Jensen happy birthday.
  6. None of us probably thought Danneel would be able to top the party she threw Jensen last year when almost 500 people showed up. This year its 9000. Good luck next year Danneel.
  7. This is the problem with this season. There is very little anticipation and speculation because Dabb spoils it all. It feels very much just like a retelling of Season 5.
  8. I saw that the parade was 5.15 Louisiana time. I believe the Bacchus parade is still set to go at the scheduled time. It was only the other parades that were moved up.
  9. I love this. Brian KIng Joseph was a contest on America's got Talent. He's a fiddler (or maybe its violin, I don't remember). He suffers from Neuorpathy in his hands and is losing feeling in them so it makes it more of a challenge to play.
  10. If I did the math right, episode 19 begins filming Tuesday. So even if Jensen takes a couple of days he won't miss that much of episode 19. He probably filmed 2-3 days of episode 18. Because he was also a video Misha posted with this kids.
  11. It shows how little Dean is actually connected to the storyline that they could write him out so easily this close to the end of the season. I'll be forever bitter about Deadpool.
  12. They could't have put less effort into that if they tried. But on the other hand, wow that pic.
  13. This week on As the Supernatural World Turns. Jack's play date. The only thing that will make it even more of a soap is if Mary finds out she's pregnant. Let me guess, Sam will be the one to come up with an out of the box solution to stopping the monster. https://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/entertainment_life/mardi_gras/article_0302cdca-37c7-11e9-b6b9-ff1e2facc30d.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=user-share This article basically confirms that they had to write Jensen out of the current ep. Although since its a Beren's ep, I don't really mind that much, as long Dean is written off in a good way.
  14. https://www.wwltv.com/article/entertainment/events/mardi-gras/bacchus-li-jensen-ackles-arrives-in-new-orleans-thursday/289-2661eee5-4c38-4fe9-8fd1-46846be551fc It looks like Jensen will be in New Orleans today.
  15. This is why I hated this episode because of the way Sam and Cas tried to brand Dean as being weak and a quitter. All season long Deans' been content with his life and happy to have less responsibilities so why all of a sudden would be eager to jump into a coffin with an arch angel. Cas and Sam are witness to that so them thinking that Dean is being self destructive shows how little they actually see Dean. Or even really listen to what he says. I thought Cas came across as a massive hypocrite considering he threw away his life for Jack and lied about it. Sam once again demonstrated how self centered he is. Its always about Sam and his feelings. Did he even consider how this was effecting Dean. Nope it was all just Dean hurting poor little Sam's feelings. How selfish can he be? Not to mention his reasoning was stupid. "Dean don't attempt to save the world, because we're the guys that save the world." I don;t see it as "word vomit" from Sam because its his goto whenever Dean wants to do something. (The trials, saying yes to Michael, Purgatory, and any time he loses his filter). At this point its comes across as that is how Sam really sees his brother. It's why I just roll my eyes now whenever Sam says he looks up to Dean. It's become more Sam's way to control Dean. At this point he's no better than John who treats Dean as a blunt instrument. Dean knows how close Michael is to getting out and how hard it is to hold Michael back. They would have no time to get Dean in the box. Why would death lie? There is really no motivation for Billie to make it up just to bag a Winchester. Because she wouldn't even actually get one as Michael could keep Dean alive indefinitely. Death usually looks at the bigger picture. IMO that was exactly what she was doing here. From the way I read the scene with Billie it wasn't just Dean's books that changed but the entire worlds. *This post is not meant to be in a bitch/jerk context, just explaining how I saw the scene as the episode presented it.
  16. Today is day 4 of 8. So filming for this ep should finish on March 4. episode 19 starts Tuesday. If you have twitter and want to keep track of filming you can follow @JasonFischer77
  17. I wonder if the old friend might be Ketch. I know its stretching the definition of friend but there really aren't that many left. Or they're inventing an entirely new character that Dean supposedly knew forever, even though we (the audience) never heard of him.
