Watching him play acting Bacchus only deepened my desire to see him in a well written period piece.

Welcome. Toronto is usually one of the smaller cons so the extras, like meet and greets aren't usually as expensive as Chicago, Vancouver or Vegas. The hotel is right down town and there are a restaurants within walking distance and the subway system is very easy to use. if you have some extra time, Major tourist attractions like the aquarium, Roger's Center and the CN tower are within walking distance. If your looking for something off the beaten path its fairly cheap ($9 a couple of year ago) take the ferry over to Toronto Island and spend the day walking around. There is just something about the place that makes you feel really peaceful and calm. I can't explain it but I love it there. The ferry ride back is free, so its an inexpensive way to spend the day.

I personally hope Jensen wasn't hinting at a movie. I want to see him in other projects. If there was a movie, with Kripke possibility having legal issues over profits and working for Sony he's probably not allowed to work for WB. So more than likely. Dabb and Singer would probably write it with Singer directing. Or worse Singer would give the job to his wife. For me personally, Jensen's greatest strength is building a character. I'd never really watched Jensen in anything before Dark Angel. After one episode (The Berrisford Agenda), I was an Alec girl. I wanted to know everything and more about what made Alec tick. Then he did the same with Dean in a way that i've never cared about a fictional character before. I still think with better writers there would be so may more layers of Dean to peal back. He even did it with Tom in My Bloody Valentine. To this day, I still want to see that character again. So im sure I'll care for his future characters because he doesn't just act, he brings them to life and becomes that character. I'd love to see him have the writing and directing to match his talent. It's why I'd prefer him to get another tv series than a movie because its easier to build a character when you have 10-22 eps vs 1 movie every 1-2years.

I also thought the end was coming when Creation tested doing Supernatural cons without Jared and Jensen to see if ticket would sell. I'm not sure what creation thought of overall sales since they seem to only being doing one, J2less con and its only 2 days, not 3.

He was vocal about the way Purgatory and Demon Dean were handled. It was no holds barred on the marionette fight. I'd be curious to his thoughts as to how he viewed the handling of the Michael storyline. I had discussions with some friends of mine, about how things seemed a little different with Jensen after the Christmas break. Him barely being scene on set. He was the only one that didn't post a dad to character video, he seemed to be posting less on SM overall. The lack of a tweet on the renewal, the one obligatory tweet about the 300th when everyone else was posting up a storm. The cryptic posts from Jensen and Danneel on instagram (about it being their year, and unexpected treasures). Now, its more than likely possible none of that meant anything (he didn't post about the renewal last year either) but things felt different to me, I wonder if these were signs. The bolded bit, from your keyboard to Kripke's ears.

Right there with you. I'm sad becasue the show has been part of my life for so long and really helped me through a rough patch, but its not the show I feel in love with. Dabb took away everything that made it special. In so many ways I feel like I've already said good bye to Dean since the writing for the show down hill. I wonder when they made this decision. Jensen was so excited a comic con at the prospect of playing Michael and that he'd be down for more seasons if the CW agreed to shorter ones.

These Spoilers Suck: Bitter Speculation About SPN Spoilers

This is why I didn't bother to even watch Nihilism. I knew it was just a set up for a bait and switch. They were going to make the Michael story line even more pointless by bringing back Lucifer. I think its inevitable at this point. -
Love this. Thank you for making me smile.

Have I expressed my hatred for Prophet and Loss recently. It's aptly named. Sam profited and gained everything. While Dean lost it all. I knew this would happen the minute Dean submitted. That Michael would get out and do something to make Sam feel guilty. Now when it comes time to make the real sacrifice they have a reason for it to be Sam. He'll feel the need to atone and once again the brother who has to learn a very special lesson it will be Dean. There is only one person strong enough to take out Lucifer and Jack. Our Michael. So I'm prediciting Trial and Error speeches where Sam is considered the big hero (and the show will make sure to include in words) about why it should be him saying yes to Michael and next season Jared will get the Michael story Jensen should have had this season. (This is my spec, not spoiler). Dean's only allowed to sacrifice himself for Sam. He's punished if he puts anyone before Sam. Even the whole world. Sam is the chosen snowflake whose every move must be praised, especially since Dabb took over. He's rewarded for putting everyone ahead of Dean. How I loath Andrew Dabb. There is no way its not deliberate at this point.

Dean actually listening to Sam is the reason they're n this mess. I'm beginning to think its not so much the hunters Sam feels bad about but the fact that he has no one to order around anymore so he's doing it to Dean. I'd really like to see Dean stand up to Sam and call him out on this holier than thou attitude.

Did Sam tell his flunkies about Dean housing Michael in his head and that he could bust out any second? Because if he didn't he took away their choice. I feel no sympathy for Sam here.

Its a really fast scene, Sam is laying on the ground and it looks like Dean is hovering over him. -

Great, more injured Sam. -
I knew Sam was judging Dean in that clip. This is what bothers me about the character. He had plenty of time to speak up if he didn't agree with Dean, instead of going along and then lecturing him later. So really just sit down and STFU. It seems Sam and Cas only wanted to stop Dean from going in the box because they were afraid of losing their punching bag and support system since neither of them really seem to care how me might be doing. The writers really do see Dean as window dressing. Even in 12B it wasn't this bad.

I can't help but compare this to the purge. (I'm only talking about Jensen's acting not so much the episode itself, so I think its okay to put it here). Both had very mediocre scripts, and there was very little reference to Deans' mental state in the Purge, but if I had never seen another ep, I would wonder what was up with Dean. Jensen portrayed him as some who was desperately trying to pretend he was okay and not quite managing it. I felt Dean's exhaustion and dispair every minute Jensen was on screen in that ep. Here not so much. What I got from Dean was mostly annoyance. He seemed annoyed he couldn't just eat and sleep. That he had to deal with Jack. he didn't even try (except for that ridiculous cake scene). He just drove him to talk to Donatello and literally waited next to the car like an uber driver. This had to one of my least favorite performances from Jensen. Because even if its not in the script, he can put it in there. The fact that Dean was so flat, I feel like we didn't see anything related to Dean's mental state is because we (general we, of course) weren't meant to.

Is a show that is struggling in all these areas (IMO, of course) this does not bode well for the ep. -
You all have summed up my problem with the writing in this ep better than I ever could. Not only did Dean show no signs of guilt but he also didn't seem to really care that much about Sam. He was more worried about his sandwich and his nap. Now if Dean didn't want to be around Sam and Cas because he was mad at them and mad at himself for listening and he said, that would have made sense, But it looks like Dean is back on the Valium.

https://fangasmthebook.com/2019/03/21/supernatural-brings-some-laughs-with-peace-of-mind/ You know the writing is bad when Fangasm "I love everything" sees the same problem with the writing for Dean in this ep that a lot of us had. That he was too jolly and cheerful and he should have been feeling guilt too,
