  1. I really hope they don't bring that clown couple back ever again. I'm glad they got their comeuppance, but they are ridiculous and seeing them three times was too much. Glad to see Marjan getting past her ex.
  2. As soon as they showed that they had killed the entire family, I immediately thought of the Pike County case.
  3. Pritchard Sr. could win a petty contest. He wanted to sell the Daily because it wasn't making enough money. Now he's bought another paper for even more money just to get back at his son. What a ridiculous man.
  4. I think Austin's ex-wife's justifications for why they should all move to Chicago were very reasonable (minus the dig about the gun violence). There will be more opportunities available, and it will be nice for his son to grow up near family. Austin's reasons for staying-- a job at a struggling paper and a new not-quite girlfriend -- aren't strong by comparison.
  5. She left before she got deported. That entire storyline was kind of silly and slapped together. None of that would happen so quickly IRL.
  6. Agreed. She was bugged because Anthony was very engaged with Fay, texting her in her absence. I think Talia overreacted, since neither Anthony nor Fay had ever acted on their feelings and didn't show any movement in that direction. It was messy only in the sense that it made Talia insecure about their relationship, and she didn't want to deal with that, which is understandable.
  7. Dr. Marcel is so incredibly gracious. He refuses to say anything bad about Dr. Tanaka-Reed even when you just know he's cursing him in his head. IMDB says that Liliana is played by Alet Taylor.
  8. It was weird seeing him with a mustache. I just saw him in an episode of 911: Lone Star from last year. His hair was longer and curly, which made him almost unrecognizable from Third Watch.
  9. I saw his name in the credits, and I completely forgot about it. Wow, I didn't even recognize him in the role.
  10. I kept thinking that the older woman at the courthouse looked familiar. It turns out that the actress played Nurse Haleh on ER.
  11. All we know about her is that she was a dirty cop, and I think in the first episode, they implied that Will was responsible for taking her and some other corrupt officers down. Me three. Faith had a lot of chemistry with the fugitive, but I hope he doesn't actually call her when he gets out. I thought Faith was going to use the kids phone to call Will, but since she's smarter than me, she used a more convincing technique to get him to give her his phone.
  12. That walk was really cute. Plus, it was funny that Anthony wore that jacket just to walk down the hall, and then take it off at the door. Yes, there was that episode when Faye set Sherm up with her cousin through an elaborate plot by having him date the cousin's roommate first. For reasons that I cannot explain, it just now occurred to me that the Nikki character and actress have the same name.
  13. This happens more than you'd think. It's an effective tactic for getting a confession, truthful or not. It makes no sense that there was no scene nor any mention of Gabriel getting therapy when he was so clearly struggling. Pritchard is turning out to be more of a mensch than he seemed at first. I hope his father doesn't completely sink him financially.
  14. I'm glad that Carlos Gomez played Nell's dad. I still sometimes mix up the titles of Ugly Betty and Jane the Virgin, so Tony Plana playing Gina's dad would have just added to my confusion.
  15. Gabriel should have gone to counseling, but maybe hadn't been forced to go yet because he wasn't coming back to work yet. Eileen's counseling was a condition of her coming back to work. The DNA match was the guy who they met on the fishing boat. I had to look him up bc I had forgotten his name. When we first met Sylvie she was in the hospital, so I assumed she went back for follow-up testing this time. I don't remember what her illness is.
  16. Yes, I noticed that, too. Ayesha gave off a vibe of looking and acting younger than her age. Janine said that their mom "needed" her. I don't know if that means their mom has a mental or physical illness, or if she's just a difficult person. If it's the latter, then Janine needs some therapy to figure out why she feels she has to put up with it.
  17. The feed was showing page views for articles on their paper's website. The editors were putting up fake articles with those headlines (the articles could have been Lorem Ipsum) or just headlines with blank articles. The way I understood it was that the new headline would show on top when posted, then move down as other articles were read by people visiting their website.
  18. I almost forgot my favorite moment -- when those young men saw the group running by and figured they should start running, too. Accurate.
  19. I'm so excited that the show is back. It's been a long wait. Were Nikki and Wyatt's brother officially a couple before last season ended? I'm glad that the Noah/Simone wedding didn't happen, but I do wonder where they're going with this storyline.
  20. I'm glad the show is back. I was not expecting the twist of Gabriel hiding in the closet. Also, as a librarian, I was in awe of the reporters' lightning-fast research skills.
  21. Langston Kerman, who played Jesse, is just so cute. I could watch him all day. Me too. I was wondering how they we're going to resolve things between Nell and Sam. I was not expecting such an emotional scene, but it was really powerful and explained a lot about where Nell is emotionally. She has lost more than just a relationship.
  22. Gregory needs to learn that you don't get to clear your conscience by making the other person feel bad. You're just transferring the negative feelings from yourself onto them. Your guilt is the price you pay for wronging someone. The kiss was such a minor indiscretion that the guilt wouldn't have lasted too long, esp since he knew Janine was going to break up with Maurice anyway.
  23. Oh, yes, I like the medical examiner, too! He has a good rapport with Will. He has a good balance of giving space for Will's talents and quirks while also asserting himself as an expert. I could easily see another ME getting annoyed that Will was overstepping. Me too @SnapHappy
  24. I'm so excited they brought the doctor back! I thought he had given Faith a look of interest; I'm glad I wasn't imagining that. He and Faith are both beautiful people, so I look forward to seeing them together. I was kind of disappointed we didn't see them on a date at the end, but the dinner at Will's house was a nice cap for the episode. I thought he said that because, as a boss, he shouldn't be involved in any betting related to a case. It is unethical, though funny in this case, so it's best if he not know the details so he can have deniability (yes, I've been listening to Hamilton).
