  1. That's because casting directors are making more of an effort to cast gay actors in the roles of gay characters.
  2. I am Team Terrance. Mel better wake up and recognize what's standing in front of her face. The engaged guy who's still sniffing around her ain't it.
  3. I was ridiculously excited to see Ellen Cleghorne as Mel's mom! I haven't seen her in a while. Also, I loved the blond coils on Valerie Pettiford. Mel catfishing her brother is some next-level sibling warfare.
  4. Did I miss something? How did get the bail money to get Shanelle out of jail? The last I was the one friend begging her husband to let them put their house up for the bail money, and the husband said No. Did she do it behind his back? If she did, Jax and her friends are all about to have broken marriages.
  5. She said that part of the reason is that they have to wait until the translations are done. I just counted and Season 3 was translated into over 30 languages.
  6. I wondered what those marks were. My friend thought they were marks from ink to show us that Lady Cowper had done the writing. Hands down my favorite scene was when Lady Danbury yelled at her brother and her real accent came out when he called her by her Sierra Leonean born name.
  7. I assumed Kate and Anthony had gone to India on their first long six-month honeymoon. Did I hear correctly that Edwina married someone in India? Why can't we get a Kanthony wedding flashback?! Colin and Penelope's fight over her being Whistledown resolved way too quickly. When he put his hand up her skirt on the street, my friend and I both said "AGAIN?" Dude stays going straight for the panties.
  8. I hate to say it, but I'm not really feeling that trailer. It feels like they've changed the entire tone of the show — not just in the Polin storyline, but the styling, storytelling, camera angles, everything. It looks like the new showrunner made some huge changes.
  9. Cole Escola, who played Chassie Tucker, has a new play coming to Broadway this summer called Oh Mary! He plays Mary Todd Lincoln. I have to go see it.
  10. That pretty much sums up my thoughts on Season 1, too.
  11. Agreed. Unfortunately for Portia, securing her mother and sisters' futures isn't really a selling point for Penelope.
  12. I will forever refer to this episode as Penny Got Fingered. I know we're not supposed to agree with Portia in the scene where she's telling Penelope to marry Lord Debling, but her line about security being romantic was spot on.
  13. I had to laugh at the opening with Hannah and Mithch actually drinking tea in her apartment. I was hoping Crockett would take some time off work and gets some grief counseling.
  14. I think it was the first time. I think Janine did it for shock value.
  15. Speaking of, why are GBI and the APD in the same building? I get that it's a matter of convenience for the show, but it's always struck me as strange, unless it's really a thing?
  16. I made an audio recording of his words to Janine at the fuse box. What he said about regrets being worse than consequences was profound. Also, "You kill someone? I won't rat," was hilarious.
  17. I thought Season 2 was better, but I liked it so much that I knew Season 3 couldn't possibly live up to it. I don't find Colin to be a compelling character. The Featheringtons have been fun to watch this season. I do like S3 better than S1, though.
  18. That scene was perfect. The eye fucking was intense. Sea Barbara has been mentioned at least a couple of times. I know for sure she talked about it when she misplaced her shoes in the teachers conference episode. That was my favorite scene, particularly her imitating Barbara's dramatic delivery.
  19. I didn't like the teasing and abuse of Pete, but then Ormewood got some too, so I could overlook it. Caroline's glee at getting to help by sitting on Ormewood's chest made the scene for me. I think Faith's bf saw that she was sad and in distress, so he rushed to her rather make her slowly climb the stairs to get to him. I bet the opening shot of next season will be Will with a full beard, sitting on a beach in PR, holding Betty.
  20. She was born in 1992, so she was 31.
  21. I was really surprised that they reused that bit of music. I know that not everyone has watched Season 2 as many times as I have, but the country dance scene was one of the best from last season and the music was really memorable. I recognized it immediately, and it was jarring to hear it in a different context. They also reused the music from Kate and Anthony's stuck in the mud scene. That music I recognized from Season 2, but it took me a while to remember which scene.
  22. Tbh, this has bugged me since Season 1. How does Penelope, writing as Lady Whistledown, know enough about sex to quip about it? In Season 1, she didn't understand how babies were made, and in Season 2, she claimed to not understand what Lord Fife and Miss Goring were doing in a closet for 20 mins.
  23. This season is split into two four-episode releases. The final four episodes drop on June 13. In Season 1, Benedict befriended a more experienced artist who was gay and in a secret relationship with another man.
  24. Because I watched Season 2 waaaay too many times, I've noticed that they are using some of the same background music. I'm trying not to be distracted by that. Same, lol. It came across as more shocked and confused.
  25. Me too. I'm a stickler for continuity, and while it doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the show, I think it's kind of insulting to viewers that the writers are not heeding the timelines, as if we won't notice.
