Nothing wrong with being on the other side of the vote if you advance. In fact, it takes a whole lot of work for that to be the case multiple times.

You mean like Rob Mariano?

What's weird is that when Ciera and Kelley Wentworth celebrated the idol play in such a nasty way at the TC when Savage was voted out out, it was considered hilarious. When Ciera rolled her eyes out of her head at one TC after another, no comment was made. When Kelley celebrates the golden boy's loss and rolls her eyes a time or two in his direction, she's a horrible human being. I have never been a fan of Joe, and I'm not a fan of Kelley in the slightest. I think she's way overrated and was damn lucky to have an idol or two. But Joe's hardly the first person whose loss at an IC has been celebrated by people who were afraid he'd continue winning immunity and get to the end if something didn't happen soon. They didn't know he was injured, so sure they celebrated. Why not? It's great for their game that he didn't win, and they had the opportunity to vote him out. It's not that I think it's a smart play to revel in the opportunity to oust an opponent--whether that opponent is the hated Savage or the hipster pretty boy Joe--but it's not the first time and it won't be the last.

Wentworth and Ciera are damn lucky that there were so many idols in the game. Without idols, they're both long gone. I don't consider having idols to be "good play", whether it's Russell Hantz playing them or Kelley Wentworth. It's especially lucky for Ciera, who didn't even have to find the damned things. She would have been gone weeks ago without Kelley's help and idol play.

I'm not a Joe fan, but Fishbach has made me one. I've grown weary of his obsession. If the edited show is to be believed, it's one reason he focused on Kelly last week; she was "too close" to Joe. This week, he finally had a clear shot at Joe himself, and it blew up in his face. Laughing so damned hard. I still won't be sorry to see Joe leave, but seeing good ol' Fish bow out first did my heart good.

This was done often in the early seasons of the US version. Build something with these Home Depot products, "pick items from this catalog", have some Pringles!, want to split a Snickers bar?, call home on this Sprint-branded cell phone, and the old "and a new car" challenge that went on for a long time and led to the YauMan-Dreamz incident.

I didn't see her as an aggressive player. I saw her as a bitter, petty loudmouth who berates people for supposedly accepting 6th in another alliance instead of accepting 5th in hers. She demands "big moves" that help no one but her, then pretends she's the only one Playing the Game. She didn't have anything real to offer, so she threw a fit instead. That fit wasn't to get her ahead, but to try to torpedo someone else's game. That's not good play. That's just throwing a tantrum. I'm just hoping the boot list is anywhere near correct and both Savage and Ciera are gone in the next couple of weeks. The order doesn't matter. They're both assholes, and having no more of them on my TV would be great. Hope neither gets a third chance.

Unfortunately, I can't nest the quote that you were responding to here, so this isn't really just about your comment, but about its context. I don't even know where the evidence that either of them wanted to make alliances with "big strong men" came from. If so, why the hell would Kimmi give Stephen the time of day? Where have we seen that Tasha only wanted to ally with "big strong men" either? Am I missing something about Abi? As for the idea above that female alliances are tried more than male alliances, I don't see any evidence of that. They do get talked about more, because "evil women and their identity politics" vs "the boys just have stuff in common".

I will say that I like Joe's hair much better when it's down. The bun is so fucking hipster and annoying, but the long, wavy hair is cool. It reminds me of my husband.
-
Exactly what i was thinking. Telling people not to be "6, 7 or 8" in another alliance, but to be 5 in hers. Fucking please. There was no logic there, just Ciera whine.
-
Especially since Stephen took so much joy in booting Monica last week, and rubbing it in her face on social media this week. But it's "Bayon strong" this week? He's so awful
-
Stephen. Fucking Stephen. Not emotionally stirring at all. In fact, I found it weird and indicative of his complete lack of perspective on life. If he had been crying about something that mattered, I'd feel for him. To cry over a game show because people won't do what he thinks they should (for his game, of course) shows just how out-of-touch he is. Never liked the guy. Didn't like he nastiness about Monica last week. Hate his sniveling over not getting his way this week. The only thing that slightly redeemed him was his willingness to go after Joe of the Stupid Hair.

Isn't it weird that all of the quits came after they stopped? The only medevac prior to that was Skupin in the fire, whereas we have tons of injuries, infections and mental breakdowns now. And I guess better TV is in the eye of production, because I'd take any of the first three seasons over anything since Thailand. I agree, but I've always felt he was an asshole who played the nerd to feel slightly superior to everyone else. I didn't like him in his first season, and he's doing himself no favors with me this time around.
-
Yeah, yeah. Fishbach's "bromance". That's so much better than a nasty "women's alliance".
-
So fucking over Swapnil. He was mediocre-to-bad when he was there, and he's not there any more. Can't be bothered to care, really.

There are several stars she could design for, but none of them are modeling on Project Runway. She has to design for the model she has. Since Edmond made two, as well, there's not much of a difference between the two. Well, except for the fact that I thought Ashley pulled hers together, and Edmond didn't. Yeah, I like Edmond well enough. I don't think he's a spectacular designer, though. He's had several mediocre designs over the season. I was strongly in favor of either him or Ashley, since I think both are very hit-or-miss. As long as Candace and Kelly made it, though, I was good. The other two were 6 of one and half-dozen of the other.

Speak for yourself. "Us women" aren't any one thing. But stereotypes sure are, I guess.
-
Kimmi had good strategic reasons for getting Monica out. Monica was already blabbing about her other plans based upon people outside the alliance.

They don't even have to be young and attractive. They just have to fulfill his idea of strong dude who wins challenges. Terry, Rupert, Tom. Tom was an attractive enough guy, but not terribly young. Terry isn't ugly, but not he's not attractive, either. Rupert was an out-of-shape dude with long, stringy hair.

That's not what Jeff is accusing her of, though. He has his jockeys in a wad over the statement she made in a confessional about how she would do what she needed to win, then pray for forgiveness later. She could be doing a lot of things, but both what we're seeing and what Jeff is saying don't exhibit any of it. After reading the entire interview with him, he sounds more bitter than ever. He's picking out things that he would have had to have seen on TV afterwards to justify his bitterness after-the-fact, in my opinion.
-
I do think he's a bitter, petty asshole. How many times did he say he "loved" Tasha, then continue to rip into her? How many times did he talk about her "using God", then proceed to do the same? Happier than ever that Tasha was the one to send his ass home.
-
Yeah, that makes me think Jeff's a monumental, two-faced asshole. "I love her, but my God hates her and needs to show her how to act" is what I got from his anti-Tasha rant. So glad that self-satisfied blowhard is gone.
-
I still don't see why keeping Jeff around in any way would benefit Tasha. What does he really offer that Abi doesn't? Abi will flat out tell you who she's going to vote for. Jeff has turned on his alliance--he did it the first vote, in fact. The attempt to keep working alliances across tribes is just the cherry on top. Jeff was loyal to no one but Jeff, and he wasn't as easy to read as Abi.

Even the judges commented that he had less to do than the others, because it was superior before they started. That makes the whole "go back and improve it" complete bullshit. If he did too much, he would ruin what was a superior job to begin with. So, downgrading him for not transforming his original idea more was unfair. Transform into what? Something less effective? And, no, I don't think Nora should have been put straight through. I found her work this episode to be even more bland than usual. As for what Westmoreland did or did not say, we don't really know what all he says, since it's edited to fit the story. More importantly, he's not a judge. The explanation we were shown was to make them human characters that combined humor and horror. Nora didn't do that, and she didn't even make her non-human, humor-only character very interesting, in my opinion.

Maybe he's just bitter and petty. As for the rat call out, he kind of had that coming. If he's pissed about that, just more bitterness and pettiness, in my opinion.
