  1. Going to the Poconos or northwest NJ around High Point State Park works for their geography. It's probably only a few hours drive from...wherever they live
  2. If nothing else, this may be the only episode in the history of the series where I felt the question about whether Dr. Now would be able to do the surgery wasn't a contrivance. All that scar tissue from his car accident made it an open question. I didn't totally mind Michael but his "done and done" statements were annoying. You just knew that wasn't going to happen.
  3. Is anyone else watching this on Discovery Plus? The guy with the cyst on his head who got so emotional when it was removed was very sweet. And what's up with these earlobes?
  4. I think this statement should be made into a decorative sign
  5. On the other hand, Flex Tape was a miracle in water, at least for me. A window in my crawl space sprung a leak in a heavy storm and water was pouring in, I mean like Niagara Falls. I needed something to stop it ASAP and had some in my garage, so thought what the hell. It actually worked and stayed there until I was able to get it fixed weeks later. Don't ask why I have windows in my crawl space. It's an older home and a lot of things make no sense at all.
  6. But not Juggalo weird, so in essence, boring.
  7. As it turns out, I am an expert on animal poop. I was going to say more, but that realization sort of stopped me in my tracks.
  8. In fairness, we don't know what she was told by her doctor, we only know what was selected to be shown on the show that supports the story they want.
  9. To be fair, during this current COVID Groundhog Day Life, tomorrow could be Christmas for all I know.
  10. Chris pretty much said this when he spoke to Jerry outside the house in last week's episode. He said something to the effect that she won't listen to family, but if Jerry told her to do something, she would, and he needed to use that influence . At that moment, I think a teenie weenie light went off in Jerry's brain and he understood, but then (or because of) he ran like Daffy Duck going through a wall to get away from this train wreck.
  11. I'm not sure, but I think that every show that films requires a medic to be on the set. There's probably some kind of minimum number of people involved before that kicks in though. I doubt it's just because they're at such risk. There's a publication on medline with a meta-analysis on C-sections in morbidly obese women (Cesarean Section in Morbidly Obese Parturients: Practical Implications and Complications)
  12. I was annoyed about the whole idea at first, and resisted but then decided to check out the free trial. For $5/month, it's totally worth it for me. I didn't realize how much I watch just these channels and there's a lot of content that isn't found elsewhere. If you're into all the TLC, ID, Food network, A&E...it's a good option.
  13. OMG, that's hysterical! Jim Morrison may very well come back from the dead with the sole purpose of stopping this before it picks up any steam. It makes me wonder if Jim/Rush were also living in the basement of a DC pizza parlor, living on the blood of children, while firing lasers from space to start wildfires, and trying like hell not to fall off the edge of the Earth.
  14. Are you sure? Have you ever seen the size of a squirrels balls? Massive, considering the body mass: scrotum ratio . My avatar ought to know...wink wink. This is from the linked National Geographic article:
  15. Awww, Dick in a Box is classic SNL. A bit creepy, but not as bad as you might think.
  16. Dr. Now fired off a line that made me literally LOL. When Isaac asked Dr. Now if he had any suggestions to help, Dr. Now said "I suggest you don't eat so much".
  17. I've never heard of Limbaugh being referred to as cancer, but that works.
  18. You're right, she's so lucky to be able to move. I think that her ability (or lack thereof) to walk is getting diminished because she becomes short of breath so quickly. And she gets frighteningly short of breath
  19. Oh hell no, I don't even have to guess at that one. There's no way in hell they'd give her anesthesia without a full work up. Maybe not even WITH a full work up.
  20. It's also all about the delivery. If you defend the word with enough confidence and authority, people start to doubt themselves, even if they can't find the word in the dictionary. My (late) uncle had an incredibly dry humor, and was famous for this. Because of him, to this day our family uses the word "alublia" to mean the little screws on the sides of eyeglasses. He made the word up of course, but he was really, really good.
  21. We don't know what they didn't show. I would suspect that he did all of those procedures including cleaning her teeth but who really wants to see that? Besides, they needed that extra time for her dramatic announcement. I'm liking Chris more and more, and the way he spoke to Jerry outside the house was incredibly diplomatic. Tammy said he was going to get an ass whipping, but it was, in fact, very kind. Saying something like "I need to talk to you about something but don't want you to take it the wrong way" was a wonderful way to set up the conversation. In fact, I may steal that sentence to use myself for those difficult conversations. Also, it might just be me, but I can totally understand what Chris says without the captioning. Tammy and Amy are another story.
  22. The Chinese food could totally have led to her delusions if she had dumping syndrome, where one of the results is hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia and/or electrolyte disorders can lead to severe confusion from lack of glucose to the brain. Neuroglycopenia is a shortage of glucose (glycopenia) in the brain, usually due to hypoglycemia. Glycopenia affects the function of neurons, and alters brain function and behavior.
  23. Don't forget that he owns a number of successful restaurants in Vegas and NYC and has been a guest on lots of those afternoon time wasters like Ellen and Wendy. Love him or hate him, he did a really nice thing by using his clout to raise money for restaurants and workers impacted by the COVID shut down through his Restaurant Employee Relief Fund
  24. LOL, surprisingly it may have been the only thing she ever ate that WAS on the diet plan. High protein, low carb...
  25. I have to vote for cavalry vs. calvary. Really?
