  1. I disagree with so may of the picks for the top 10. The fact that the blonde haired hip hop guy Jaylin ,are it while much more talented dancers like skinny Spanish guy did not tells me this season has a lot of producer intervention. They’re casting for diversity and drama, not picking the best of the bunch. This show is making me so angry.
  2. It’s the other way around. Karishma is the short one.
  3. In season 1 of th Australian version, traitors turned on each other all the time in the game and at the round table. I do agree that the game is fundamentally flawed if faithfuls can keep banishing until there are only two players left under the guise of possible suspicion, but that’s how the rules were designed. I saw this scenario coming episodes before with two players opting to keep on voting to banish until they’d only have to split the prize pot two ways.
  4. That’s just not true. From an interview with one of the producers:
  5. I full heartedly echo the sentiment…and I just finished season 3 of Stranger Things!
  6. I'm actually shocked that Bravo brought Mary back because there seems to be an unspoken rule that if a housewife does not appear for the reunion taping, she is in breach of contract and will not be asked back the following season. This definitely has been the case with Adrienne Maloof and Jaqueline Laurita, so why does Mary get a pass? Because of her oddball behavior? I stopped watching SLC fairly early on last season as I've always found it a snooze, but Bravo has shown just how unscrupulous they are, employing criminals, grifters and cult leaders that prey upon others. They aren't abiding by their own rules anymore which means SLC must have seen a drastic loss in viewership.
  7. Fuck no. Not this hypocritical “open and honest” bullshit that ruined Beverly Hills.
  8. Well there is an active volcano no less than what seemed to be two feet underground, so I’m thinking no. It’s very implausible that something like that would go undiscovered until now but I’ve hand-waved bigger eye roll inducing issues on this show.
  9. Ryan was the midwestern school teacher who flew to Kansas for his roller skating date with Nakysha. He had an older brother with special needs and he laced up Nakysha’s skates during their date.
  10. Other posters here, as well as on various other forums.
  11. I was on the fence about watching this show but I'm glad I gave it a try because I enjoyed Indian Matchmaking and the creator, Smriti Mundhra is an executive producer on this one. Aleeza was a great find. Not only is she warm, personable and highly charismatic but she's able to relate to both the more secular, reform Jews as well as the frum Orthodox ones. This show would have never worked with a traditional orthodox or Hassidic matchmaker unless it was going to be strictly confined to that particular community. That being said, the expansion to run the gamut of practicing Jews led to many noticeable cases of people that really had no business on this show just looking for their 15 minutes of fame (I'm looking at you Ori, Dani, David, Italian Noah and maybe even Nakysha). I also felt that several of the men featured--notably Wyoming Noah, Ryan and Stuart are closeted and not at all interested in women. Could be wrong about Stuart though--those artsy types can be confusing.
  12. Jus subscribed to Peacock and of course the very first and only time I watch LCK to see who will be returning to the competition a winner is not revealed. What BS! Has it always been this way?
  13. Indian food typically doesn't employ parsley (I can't speak for all because there are so many types and dishes I am unfamiliar with). That herbaceous-ness in the raita and kuchumber would typically be from cilantro.
  14. It only took 20 seasons, but I'm so glad we got an EC dedicated to Indian food! Of course it was dampened a bit by the passing of Her Majesty, but I'm glad the Top Chef producers were able to pull it together and have the challenge in the kitchen. The Indian set decor was a nice touch. That being said, I did find it odd that this challenge was not given the usual day before shopping trip and several hours of prep. I wonder if the Queens' passing affected more than just the venue the EC was supposed to be held at. I'm surprised Gabri has managed to remain in the competition as long as he has. With a double elimination team challenge the following episode, I don't think he'll be able to outrun the clock much longer. Thalis are amazing and delicious. If you live in the NYC area, check out the recently opened Mahal which is about 45 minutes outside of Manhattan. I've gone back for their Maharaja Thali no less than three times and brought my friends from far and wide to sample it as well. The executive chef was head chef at Tamarind Tribeca (one of the best Indian restaurants in NYC) for 15 years. If you happen to live in New Jersey, the chain Mithaas offers three or four thaalis from different regions in India. Mithaas is all vegetarian but you'll find the kind of authentic street food and snacks Indians love and crave. The thing about Indian food is its so damn diverse because India is a subcontinent comprised of hundreds of different ethnolinguistic groups, each with their own unique cuisine. The Indian food that has made it abroad is really just a smattering of mostly Punjab, Mughlai, and South Indian dishes.
  15. Absolutely. A lot about Danielle seems put on and curated for the cameras as we’ve seen with her children. She’s all about getting Instagram likes and screen time. I don’t even think those sobs behind closed doors in Ireland were real. Danielle seems to have modeled herself after Teresa—a fiery temper and deep seated issues with her only brother. Now that she’s on TV it’s only a matter of time until the truth about her will be revealed.
  16. Louie is finally showing his true colors. Many of us pegged him as a fame hungry Dirty John type who would manipulate and isolate Teresa and he’s doing it in front of our very eyes. He also seems coked and roided out all hours of the day. Not a good combination. His rage is just bubbling under the surface and he cannot conceal it any longer. I dislike Teresa immensely but even I can empathize with the position she’s in. Melissa was right—For a bride to be, she sure does look miserable. Rachel and her step-son do seem to have a genuine bond and love for one another but the timing of this planned adoption is still very suspect to me.
  17. I read elsewhere she charges $20k per client.
  18. I'm looking forward to it as well but praying Aparna, Shital and (female) Viral don't make any appearances.
  19. I'm thankful I opted to delay my viewing of this show as long as I did. It's been on my "to see" list for quite some time but I decided to wait for season two to complete its airing so I could watch seasons one and two back to back. (I'm going to have to go and rewatch Shadow & Bone though because too much time has elapsed and that world is uber complicated.)
  20. This was my first thought when I was piecing the information at the very beginning of the episode. This was my next thought, by the end of the episode.
  21. I give Dawn a bit of a pass because she wasn’t always a chef. She switched careers later in life after her Olympic athlete days were behind her. I cannot stand Amar—from the way he looks to the way he talks or the dishes he makes. Why does Top ached insist on shoving this guy down our throats? He’s come back as a guest judge or been in the background of diners for several seasons now. Clearly production plays favorites asking certain folks to return time and again, Dawn included. Excited about this season and seeing the international contestants and their culinary takes. I just wish Asia had a bit more representation and sad there is no Top Chef India.
  22. Don't sleep on Family Karma! Best new show to grace Bravo in years. The drama is real and the cast is awesome--especially the older set of aunties. I'm also watching Real Housewives of Melbourne on Tubi and it has been entertaining.
  23. Incompetent showrunning, as I've been saying throughout. This show will never improve with the current producers at the helm. I'd say more but I literally cannot be bothered because I find this show so dull.
  24. The writing is awful. The acting is terrible. The casting and direction is very off. The special effects and costumes are subpar. How is a show about witches and magic set in New Orleans this utterly boring and tedious? Oh, I know—this is the same showrunner team that was behind Masters of Sex which managed to make sex and sexuality boring. This team of Esta Spalding and her faceless colleague needs to be fired and never work in Hollywood again.
  25. On another note, I'm so glad Suresh Uncle spoke up. He defended his wife's right to feel her emotions and handled Nicholas like a boss. Nicholas has been playing the victim for the past few episodes and has really rubbed me the wrong way with his uppity attitude, entitlement and lack of empathy for anyone else. As Uncle Suresh pointed out, Nicholas was well aware of what an Indian wedding entailed when he agreed to it. Kudos to him to telling the couple he was willing to cancel the entire affair in lieu of a simple ceremony if that was what Amrit and Nicholas desired. Notice that was not what Nicholas wanted. This very much proved that the Kapais are in fact putting the couples wishes ahead of everything else, and the wedding is not about giving the elders a second wedding, as Nicholas had insolently accused them of in the prior episode. Even Lavina Aunty said she would have almost preferred attending as a guest because it would have been a lot less stressful.
