  1. I'm curious as to where you've heard/read about the $500 blouses. I really hope that's not what's being spent because she always looks as though her tops come from Marshals/Ross/TJ Max.x - cheap and tacky. And I'll let you know when $500 a year for me exceeds my clothing budget for a decade ;-)
  2. I loved the hair/makeup on Kentaro's models. It was bold, unusual, and yet a shout out to his Japanese aesthetic and heritage. And absolutely in keeping with what a pushing edge fashion show designer should be presenting in New York. (Because that's suddenly the only place that matters.) I rarely pay attention to how the models are made up, but Kentaro's were striking and memorable.
  3. You mean the lifetime supply of pens?
  4. I noticed Tim's hands shaking in this episode when he was picking up a piece of fabric at someone's work table. I thought her impression of the twins was hilarious and totally a propos. And the difference between her top and Shawn's is that she didn't have to cheat to make it. Ironically though, I'm a female Caucasian and watching this season's Survivor there are several blonde Caucasian women (with perfect teeth) whom I can't tell apart. Same with many American TV dramas - the female and male actors all seem so generic to me. Agree about the Ashley fallout plus current political climate precluding an Ayana win. The cat story is well worth a look. (As someone mentioned above, I think Kentaro was just winding Tim up.)
  5. I'm late to this, but I'm not at all surprised Bebe Neuworth asked to get out of her contract. As others have said, she's a fantastic actress pretty much the only enjoyable character on the show (the other staffers are too, but with smaller roles). This show has so many unbelievable story lines, so much terrible writing/acting/overacting, an endless stream of Tea Leoni's hideous, cheap, untucked blouses, I imagine she's actually embarrassed to have been associated. Her gracious response is industry protocol unless you want to self destruct. (For those wondering why I'm watching something I loathe, I stopped watching during season 2, tried again this season, made it through half an episode, and came here to see if anything happened.)
  6. This is all I wanted to know and I don't even like dogs. Can't he get a doggie helmet and some doggie body armour?
  7. Kenya's peplum top and shorts outfit was an abomination.
  8. Would it have killed Heidi to brush her hair at the beginning?
  9. Exactly. It's like going on Survivor and not learning how to swim, or The Amazing Race and not knowing how to use a stick shift. It does rather beg the question though as to who is more foolish- those who play or those who watch.
  10. Just reading this thread, but thank you for giving me something to look at rather than my wallpaper when the producers are fixating on his schlong
  11. Enough with the idols already. I'm sure this has been suggested before, but how about just give everyone an idol at the beginning, play it when they want up until the final four/three. Watching them grub around, rub their hands with glee, twirl their moustaches, and tuck stuff into their underwear is boring as all get-go.
  12. Why was Stella sleeping on the couch? I thought they were room mates? Doesn't she have a bedroom? Am I the only person who dislikes Stella? I'd actually rather have Hope. Sorry. Are remote controls called flickers in Chicago or was that just a weird thing? Where I am, if you can't be bothered to say two words between sips of beer it's clicker.
  13. Me too, except for the god awful earring.
  14. Judging by the shots of Ryan's jiggly crotch, boxers are not particularly supportive. Neither are push up bras - made for the cleavage, not the coverage. How about a sports bra or two? (Also spending too much time thinking about their underwear!)
  15. Yes, but Margarita lived on a RI with a virtual 4th side of water, so it was obviously tropical.
  16. Tim Gunn wrote a column in the Washington Post saying he felt Ashley Tipton won as the result of what he called tokenism. He was very far from the only one with this opinion. https://www.thewrap.com/project-runway-tim-gunn-season-14-winner-ashley-nell-tipton-hideous/
  17. I don't have a problem with rabbit fur (not that I would wear it) - I imagine the rabbit meat goes to pet food. And people food. If you go to an old-fashioned butcher in the UK, you're likely to see (skinned) rabbits hanging up. Plenty of places in Portland, Oregon, selling it to not-as-squeamish-as-they-used-to-be Americans.
  18. Is there some reason why the actress who plays Stella can't pull her hair back so it covers the tops of her ears? I know this is very shallow, but whenever she's in a scene she reminds me of Prince Charles.
  19. Am I the only one who thought Margarita's coat looked like a fancy hotel bathrobe? Katie Holmes please lose the tacky shoulderless blouse. Heidi - not a good hair style.
  20. Tim, why are leather shoes okay but fur isn't? Kill an animal, harvest the bi-products,. Shoes, jackets, steak, milk. Make the most of the animal, or move to vegetarianism.
  21. I assume it's a shout-out to her heritage, which is great, but this particular version I find tacky and overused by her. A necklace/bracelet would be more subtle and still a sign of respect/acknowledgement.
  22. This is a very petty thing, but is there a reason why no losing competitor can respond to Heidi saying "Auf wiedersehen" by also saying "Auf wiedersehen"? It's not that hard to say, they've been hearing it for years, it just means goodbye. If they have any sense of musical history (Sound of Music?), they will know the term (apart from watching years of Project Runway). Why the white bread approach to saying goodbye?
  23. I turned this on late and didn't know the grandma story. The camera was on Brooke Shields and at first I thought she was playing some long-lost sister of Benson.
