  1. Certainly not sad to see the back (and the last of her distracting front) of Brittany, but she certainly seemed very supportive of whatever her partner is called at the airport.
  2. This, as others have said, has become so painful to watch. I mute Gabby, but then I find myself obsessed with her un-furrowable forehead and caterpillar eyebrows. Casey has become such a doormat. I find Stella totally unsympathetic.
  3. Reece needs to grow a backbone and leave the puppy dog eyes at home. Dr Charles is way too good for her and has the patience of a saint. He must see something in her that we don't! Love Malcolm McDowell. I find the mannequins they use for preemies very hard to look at. (Sorry to anyone who's gone through this themselves.) It was bad enough on Call The Midwife, but at least there was comic relief on that show (hello Sister Monica Joan) and character development.
  4. How long do you think it took the producers to teach some of the team members how to say Zimbabwe correctly?
  5. Mr McGiggles sounded squishy rather than crunchy to me. But I definitely enjoyed the black humour in this unrelentingly depressing episode.
  6. This episode was so overwrought it was unbearable. The Sally Field lookalike character becomes more saccharine every episode. I like Toby. I know many posters don't seem to but I love how, though he's a dufus, he does try to understand Kate, support her, give her space, etc.
  7. Absolutely, you're right. But Bruce left a very much newborn and a new mother. Not the time to be away from home as far as I'm concerned. Agree to disagree if you're fine with that? (Not being snarky there.)
  8. Yup. Well actually, since she lived several centuries ago, long before photographs or X-rays, we have no idea. Speculation, or an early example of an urban myth? Who knows. It will go with her to her grave. If it's not there already.
  9. What's an IP? Impossible Parent? Incredible Panda? Irritating Pet Peeve? (Being silly here, but I am curious.)
  10. Thanks for the info. Interesting how many languages they have going on there.
  11. I get that you can barf from fatigue, certain foods, or whatever, but please, Mr Very Unimpressive Former Basketball Player, don't do it in the middle of the pavement or, worse, on the fishing nets. At least take yourself over to the side of the road. Did Brittany (?) ever learn that nobody understood her in Spanish?
  12. I thought I'd replied to this (certainly typed out a response!), but it seems to have disappeared. Anyway, yes of course we don't know how and why they make their decisions, and I wish the family much happiness.
  13. I agree that we don't have any kind of real idea of their lives and decisions. But at the same time Bruce hasn't expressed himself as much more than a blowhard. I know all about the magic elves, but surely everything can't be a fabrication of who he really is. We'll agree to differ I hope, and hope that everything is going wonderfully for the new family.
  14. As they say, I see what you're doing here!
  15. I thought Helen's was hideous -- 1950's too-big negligee for a pregnant woman. Think Betty Draper if she doesn't understand what flatters her.
  16. Cringed as usual when she appeared in the first monstrosity. The second I thought was a vast improvement over her other looks, except for the Brandon inspired bib. Even that looked okay in waist-up shots. Like her short hair styles.
  17. Could be, she usually dresses beautifully. (By the way, I edited my original post to reflect Padma's own name, not that of a cheese!
  18. I agree in theory about the timing, but if I remember correctly, he was talking about the birth from the first episode. As we have seen/read you can pull out at any time. They have alternates in place if it's before the show starts filming, and they now have so many returnees, while many on these boards were sad to see the pregnant woman leave, there's hope she will be invited back. Final words, I still think Bruce is an arrogant, smug, egotistical jerk regardless of the baby situation!
  19. Am I the only one who thinks Bruce was incredibly selfish to go on a game/reality show when he knew his son would be born during the filming? Sure there's apparently prestige to winning Top Chef, and quite possibly they're in debt from surrogacy, but if he's as good as he keep telling us he is, surely he could have asked the producers for a bye until the next season? Oh, and Padma's Angelina Jolie leg pose in the blue and white dress in the intro is almost as bad as Angelina's was. And I love Padma and think she's gorgeous.
  20. I was assuming he sold the Porsche. But then I remembered you should never assume anything about these kind of shows.
  21. These guys were shockingly bad tonight. So many easy missed answers. I like Rachel, partly because she's from my state. Agree about the sweater needing to be pulled up, Wasn't bothered by her ski-mobile answer. She lives in a part of the country with beautiful snow and scenery. She probably owns a ski-mobile and has use of one through her job. It's like saying Kleenex instead of tissues, and many other examples. I wonder if they would have accepted Yitzhak (with a Y), which is how it's properly pronounced.
  22. Just checked, amazingly I was right! Carla Johnson from Long Beach.
  23. Sorry! You can tell how much attention I'm paying! The woman who said "horsh relish" for horseradish.
  24. Someone please push Carla into the deep fat fryer. If she makes it through this round, I'm out.
