  1. and apparently lose track of what state they were living in. :)
  2. do they know Seattle is a BIG CITY ????????????
  3. I don't know. during last week's show, between the bear visit and leaving to "go fishing", I recall a shot where they were sort of lined up. as if for a picture. that's why I said above, that it looked like they were leaving to go to town.
  4. iirc, the prosecutor dropped charges against some of them. were the charges reinstated?
  5. from the last few shows and maybe a rerun. saw a cameraman walking among the trees (in the background) while the old friends were walking up to the cabin. tears when the 'boys' were getting close to leaving on the boat to do some work. they are in their 20's and 30's. think there's pressure to stay very very close and never never leave? yup! leaving Gustavus, a shot shows the towed skiff about 50 yards behind, next shot, it's 20 feet behind. nice lumber for that chicken coop. could have been used to build a small people-cabin. right after the bear visit, they all pack up and leave. they looked like they were leaving to go back to town. but they're going fishing. ok. I guess sleeping on the boat is one way to get away from the bears. all of them have to go. of course. board up everything first. like you're going to be gone a long time. hmmmm. why not leave a man and a dog "home" to protect the empire? no! that's crazy talk! all must sleep on the boat! from the gunshot-signals episode..... they got a nice couple seconds of 'bear' quick-walking on a large downed moss-covered tree. do you think it was dangerous for him to be tumbling down a hill with his rifle? want to bet it was still loaded? even a sibling could be heard telling him it was dangerous. I don't recall seeing them arrive back at the house. I suspect Disco blew a horn for an emergency HALT for safety reasons, and explained what was happening at the house, so they could walk safely. (forget which episode, could have been a recent rerun...........) this a good spot? need a fire? snap! there's a fire, with neatly stacked split pieces of wood. (handy one-inch wide pieces) I still have a feeling the howling started after the show started. anyone recall much howling during crazy season one? (drum roll........... ) MY 2016 PREDICTION: they abandon b'town and find a new place to invade. someplace with fewer bears.
  6. hang off the side of a boat (using one hand) while trying to haul in a fishing line....... which is heavy enough that one hand is not enough. because that's how bush fishermen do it. ?
  7. did the lobsta guy really wear short pants to a meeting with the really rich guy who might help save his business? .......... twice?
  8. and didn't the Lobsta guy turn down Marcus's offer? I would not call that walking away. one thing was good about that. I *finally* saw someone decline his offer!
  9. they make their money by being publicized. so more publicity (bad publicity) should not be a reason to let them skate. totally agree that someone stealing that much from walmart would get jail time. hard to believe that some charges were dismissed before the deal was accepted. really? I expect the sympathetic prosecutor will file some reduced charge, just to fill the square. if the only hardship for being caught stealing over $7,000 is "give it back" and a week of work, let's go do that. when you factor in the odds of being caught, and the reluctance to prosecute, sounds like theft could be a good business plan. you might be able to steal $7000 several times before getting caught once. steal $28,000 , get caught once, return just $7000, do one week of community service. yeah. new thought...... if they MAILED those fraudulent applications from CONUS, would that be federal mail fraud? (website app might be wire fraud?)
  10. so, it's also how you LEAVE Alaska by boat? ! ;)
  11. so where were they living when they stole the money? btw, stealing that much around here would get you some county jail time. I wonder if they all budgeted for out of state hunting and fishing licenses. those would be more expensive. if they planned on having licenses at all. four of them have the charges dismissed. huh. they called in from Seatlle. does that mean they aren't wintering with the bears in Alaska?
  12. ok, I watched a little of the rerun. I saw the muscle relaxer scene. I would bet that the docs already knew what was wrong, before they issued muscle relaxers. radio convo seemed fake. the show set it up as taking place while the boat was well underway.
  13. was that the show where Todd said he has the generator running all night long, just in case he might get up in the middle of the night and want something hot to eat or drink? it might have been the summer after the old wash plant was destroyed before the new one was ready. iirc, they had six weeks of downtime. nothing else to film.
  14. I must have missed the hospital scene. weren't the guys supposed to wait where they were until contacted? iirc, the scene showed them boating home, and then getting a radio call. were they still anchored when they got the radio call? (hazy memory)
  15. Season started last night (11 November). We had a lumber shortage crisis. So they cut down a big tree to make into boards. So everyone can build their own house. let's see how CLOSE they can build to their parents' house. hurry, have to get it floating today! was it "acting", or was that son really reluctant to be the chainsaw-er? where did they get that 100 meter (+) strong rope? at the distant sawmill operation, I hope that cutting saw was a special model, because I think a lot of very long cuts would be hard on a regular chainsaw. overheating, for example. so half the clan goes off on a medical evac. why not just the two parents? so the guys stay and wait for word. they catch some fish. they put the fish in a cooler (ice, too, iirc). how many days did they expect to keep the fish in that cooler before it spoiled? did they cook any on the boat? I really don't remember. was that a quick shot of the guys in the living compartment on the boat? it did not look finished. why would it not be finished by now? maybe I saw it wrong. of course the radio conversation is vague, because tv suspense. you want fish. you "live" at that great location by the water. why isn't someone fishing there regularly? we're going to see night cam footage of that bear all season. don't worry, I don't think anyone actually lives in that house. ;)
  16. my guess is........... the money talks.
  17. I bet it got more eyeballs on the RERUN. :)
  18. didn't that convo happen before the deal?
  19. I agree. She was the biggest shareholder, and that was a business conversation. after the "listening" incident, it seemed like Marcus had an "Imperial" attitude. almost like he was wearing a "Don't you know who I am?" button. I guess that incident bothered him - but she was the largest shareholder in the company. he was not. when they met to make the deal, he acted like he didn't even want to say what he would change. iirc, he didn't tell them until after the deal. Imperial. So they took the mystery deal. Shook hands and did it. Then he says he is 100% in charge. (not even temporarily) It would have been really, REALLY AWESOME if they had looked at each other, then looked at Marcus. and said "No, you're not. That was not part of the deal. You're just a minority shareholder." :) How much coordination and cooperation was there? iirc, when they were in that big meeting with the buyers, the woman owner acted like she had not seen the labeling and packaging before.
  20. saw just a few minutes of it. was funny when Anthony gets ribbed about just standing there. he responds by saying he's on break, since it's France. and something about a 22-hour work week. haha
  21. I wonder if he has something in his contract about that. (appearing in every show) It would have been more interesting if Dave had stopped by.
  22. I figured Gene would be playing a part this season because they kept mentioning his name. Even after he turned Parker down, his name was still mentioned. what happened to that clause when the final agreement was made? no further mention of it. who doesn't get a final copy of the contract before spending a bunch of money? why didn't Parker tell Tony that his word was no good anymore? Todd tells Dave he promised double gold this year. I was waiting for Dave to ask the " Or else.......? " question. I guess it was ok that Todd's complete operation just shows up this year. No drama. No explanation.
