  1. So true! He did mildly dress down Wendy for criticizing him in front of Taylor; it seems like her advice is mainly for the drones and Axe will follow it only if it agrees with what he already thinks and wants to do. And it's so easy to get inside Axe's head that I'm positive Prince has the long game all mapped out. If he loses it'll be pure writer manipulation because Axe is their hero, flaws and all. By the way, when do these drones actually do any work? This season have we seen them do anything other than stand around their computers and play office pranks?
  2. Oh but Axe is a true folk hero, man of the people, salt of the earth! An example to all the poor downtrodden how an exceptional ubermensch can, through sheer force of will, become a multi-billionaire master of the universe. Or whatever the hell he is.
  3. I don't mind her (within character) regular voice, but when she's on the radio she uses a sort of sing-song cadence that really annoys me. Probably Molly was coached to speak that way.
  4. The LA police department had a long history of bad behavior, as did many big city departments in those days. I think that cop wouldn't have been seen as unusual. A cop like Bud White in LA Confidential would have been unusual.
  5. Mohonk is about a 90 minute drive from NYC. Do we know anything about Wag's mysterious family or even how old this daughter is supposed to be? Maybe she went to Vassar, which is in Poughkeepsie, and got started with drugs there.
  6. I liked the finale and agree that it was very twisty. There were a few moments when I wasn't even sure Andrew was really dead! I couldn't stand that female detective who worked with Rory. Sad back story or not, I just wanted to slap the smirk off her.
  7. Yeah, even Tiago's mom was pretty good in an earlier episode. Maybe it's the actress, but Molly just doesn't hold my interest (and her radio voice really grates). She's an important part of the story, but I'm not feeling it.
  8. I think Popeye started in newspaper comics around 1929, and the cartoons in the 1930's. Nathan Lane made me cry; he really is wonderful in this.
  9. Wags mentioned something about getting her out of there, and Axe swore to put the bar out of business. But really, what's more important: a family crisis or finalizing plans to soothe Axe's massive ego? Where are your priorities?
  10. There was a secret compartment containing a key to a storage unit. In the unit he found a box with pictures of young Kim and a folder which probably contains info on the Brigada. Julien thinks blonde policewoman (mother of his son, I can't remember her name) is the traitor. Are you up-to-date on all the deaths?
  11. They would be planning something bad for him no matter what; he's just a tool (in more ways than one). You can't talk to Nazis the way he did and get away with it for long. I could watch a whole hour of the dancers, they were fantastic!
  12. I loved that character! She and Ben Stone were the very definition of "worthy adversaries"; they seemed to do their best work facing each other.
  13. I thought he was based partly on Father Coughlin too.
  14. First plaintiff today should have sued the person who gave him that "beaver tail fell on my head" hair style. First case defendant kind of reminded me of Carmen Ghia from the original "The Producers" movie:
  15. I checked ahead and my on-screen guide says next week is new. I sat through the 1st case(low-rent Modern Family Jay & Gloria) waiting to hear about the bigamy, but sadly it was just a tease. Bait and switch!
  16. Didn't the smarmy wise-ass bail bondsman say something about bounty hunters on an active case being "agents of the state" and therefore couldn't be prosecuted for using deadly force? Or some such nonsense. I can't watch that episode anymore because it makes me so angry!
  17. That must be how Alison Victoria stays in business, what with all the lawsuits.
  18. The message said something to the effect of "I've taken the kids, don't try to look for us". I just can't stand Tessa Thompson. Period. And most of the William stuff was like being stuck in the ending of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
  19. I haven't watched any HGTV for over a month now and don't miss it at all. There's nothing even remotely interesting in their programming and listening to whiny, entitled people who think they know it all isn't very entertaining.
  20. I know I've seen it before, but can't remember what show; maybe one of the L&O variations. Google was no help. But nothing on this show is remotely original, so rest assured this plot was recycled. Good to see Dr. Latham again!
  21. I actually prefer LIOLI2; it seems to give me more usable ideas than the original show and Jillian's style is closer to my own. I still adore Hilary, David not so much. But the main reason I watch version2 is the location: Vancouver and surroundings are just so gorgeous! The mountains, the water, and more vintage-type homes than the NC McMansions, all appeal to me.
  22. Amen! And let's all be thankful no poor child was conceived!
  23. According to my tv guide it's on HBO tonight @10. It may show up on Youtube later.
