I believe the Kumiho is a fox with 9 tails.

I don't think the Ross/Rodgers relationship was ambiguous; besides Goren's "your girlfriend" comment, there was a scene of them together in an elevator all dressed up like they were going on a date, and many "knowing looks" passed between them. That line of Rodgers about Lennie taking her to the opera ended with her saying "it was the best night of my life". Ross wasn't fit to shine Lennie Briscoe's shoes.

Let's sacrifice him to the Goddess of Tides, who allows the causeway to be open on a regular time schedule!

Add in Dr. Warner from SVU - she had some pretty good lines too, as I recall.

I'd like to recommend the Wikipedia entry on Osea Island. It's not that long, but what a fascinating place!

I don't recall seeing anything about Donovan implicating her in the shady goings-on, but I find it difficult to believe she's totally innocent in all of this and merely incompetent. I wonder if he will make a statement about her involvement, and if not, is HGTV paying him to keep AV out of it?

This seems like another variation on Wicker Man/Midsommar, but it's only 6 episodes so I'll watch. There are worse ways to spend an hour than with Jude Law and nice cinematography. For those who didn't know: Osea Island is a real place.

Given the general level of competence on some other HGTV shows, I don't believe those in control care much about shoddy work. But one would think they'd want to avoid being associated with lawsuits and code violations.

Ha! The mere thought of Jack sleeping with Abby Carmichael is enough to make my head explode!

S02.E03: Over the Hill with the Swords of a Thousand Men
Broderbits replied to Bort's topic in The Boys
A fine sentiment! Although it looks like A-Train is deteriorating anyway and we know how Homelander despises weakness. -
S02.E03: Over the Hill with the Swords of a Thousand Men
Broderbits replied to Bort's topic in The Boys
If Stormfront and Homelander had a fight to the death, I wouldn't complain. Especially if neither survived..... -
This begs the question: wouldn't the creators of these Supes have formulated a way to control/eliminate/subdue one who went too far off script? Or were these wonder scientists really so stupid that they created a monster with no back-up plan? How bad does Homelander have to get before it's time to disable him, or does that depend on how adversely he affects the bottom line? I love this show and am willing to follow wherever it takes me, but please let Homelander have a reckoning.

I guess the husband on LIOLI Australia never heard of hiring people to do work; he kept protesting "we're not builders". Honey, no one expects you to get a shovel and dig that pool yourself. Going 3 years without a working oven is just lazy. Anyway, the renovation was awesome but I didn't care for the decorating. Not into flamingo or palm tree statues. The 2 hosts seem nice though and I'll probably watch again. Right now LIOLI is the only thing I watch on HGTV - none of their actors appeal to me.
-
I see that an episode of Love It Or List It Australia will be on tomorrow after the new LIOLI. Does anyone know who hosts it? I'm looking forward to seeing something outside of Raleigh for a change!

Law & Order: Criminal Intent - General Discussion
Broderbits replied to WendyCR72's topic in Law & Order: Criminal Intent
It was "The Healer" from season 5. I always thought Oscar Issac's breakthrough was "Inside Llewyn Davis", plus a lot of other stuff he did way before the Star Wars spin-offs. -
Law & Order: Criminal Intent - General Discussion

As I recall she was briefly considered a suspect, so the original Reddit poster may just have been confused. Some of these L&O episodes go through suspects like Kleenex! -
Law & Order: Criminal Intent - General Discussion

That sounds like the episode entitled "Burden", from original Law & Order, not Criminal Intent. The only CI episode I can think of with a young incapacitated family member is "Wrongful Life", and the plot of that is totally different since she doesn't die and her sibling doesn't resent her at all. -
That's why it's so important to remember "you have the right to remain silent"! In these situations it always amazes me that people might believe the police want to "help" them.

To me, he looked like one of the "Children of the Damned" all grown up and a tad more human.

Penny Dreadful: CoA in the Media
Broderbits replied to numbnut's topic in Penny Dreadful: City Of Angels [V]
I'm really disappointed this was cancelled. Not cool, Showtime, not cool..... -
Still in the Raleigh-Durham area. At this point it seems like they're never leaving NC! I loved the last house David showed in Monday's episode; usually I just FF through his tours, but that one was just my style (if no where near my budget).
-
I feel just the opposite; the first episodes bored me so much I almost gave up on the show. But without the promise of Hamilton Burger as D.A. I wouldn't be up for Season 2.

Just turned to HBO for the second showing and am overjoyed to hear THE MUSIC! The Perry Mason tv show music! Outstanding!
