  1. As far as finishing the Duggar house, almost everything done for the house was comped. People did things in return for the advertising of being on the show. Before TLC got involved, the land was paid for, the house kits were paid for, and Jim Bob paid for many of the fixtures in the house.
  2. I wonder if any of them have even begun to look at paperwork on a real mortgage. No, not a chance. They'll save that for the last minute or simply move.
  3. Hopefully since he is currently disgraced he'll have the good sense to stay home. Good sense being highly lacking with these people who knows but maybe he won't speak.
  4. I thought the skirt was a little long, but in light of the wind and the blowing up fears, it was a good decision on the length after all.
  5. As predicted I didn't shed a tear, but I did enjoy the episode. I was glad not to see Will messing with or near the cake. The children were there but not the centerpiece of the renewal or reception and that was nice. Zoey is so cute!! I was impressed that neither Zoey or Will had any issue at all walking down to the gathering of people.
  6. And a swimming pool amount of lemonade. It looked like they had bought out all the canned powder at a Sam's location.
  7. I decided it made no more sense to me than that religion of the stars so basically too much of it was nonsense for me. There are too many holes, gaps, and pieces with no logic.
  8. I think it was rescheduled a bit late for everything to get changed quickly. I saw Abby on Wendy Williams today promoting the new show for next week. That was probably not able to be rebooked.
  9. Yes, they have no apparent means of supporting those houses without the TV show. I expect the builder is looking at their payments as rent. I don't feel for the adults at all over that situation, but I do for the children. The adults presumably have the ability to figure a budget without the show payments, but the children more than likely won't be prepared for the upheaval. I fear another round of running out of town in the middle of the night.
  10. TLC doesn't release that information, but based on what has leaked from other shows estimating $20,000 to $25,000 per half hour aired would be reasonable.
  11. I don't blame them for possibly adding the riding lawnmower kind of last minute if they were thinking get a 20% discount on it after the wedding.
  12. I have a question about the scheduling information. Lifetime isn't coming up with a Dance Moms episode for me on the DVR or on the Lifetime website.
  13. Ratings for what seemed to me to be completely producer driven filler and blatant MSWC promo were not great. There were 1.568 M viewers and a .5 rating.
  14. Looking at the script it may seem harmless on the face of it and then it's the changed usage of the lines for increased drama that falls on the editors. I don't know that's what happens but it easily could be.
  15. They'll have to work very hard to make a done for TV renewal on the beach ceremony tear worthy for me. It sounds like TLC's usually erroneous promo talk.
  16. I think most stores do that now. I know it resulted in a couple of my kids putting some things on the registry that they didn't expect anyone to buy for them so they could use the discount later.
  17. Interesting picture, thanks. Although I'd have to say she looks about as far along in that picture as my daughter did in May. Daughter is due in.......September.
  18. Robyn saying and sighing I'm trying to wrap my mind around why she needs to do this in reference to Meri wanting to finish college. That's a fairly common goal people have and Robyn is so self-absorbed all she can relate it to is how it's going to affect her.
  19. I doubt there will be much of a do at the reception. Derick is still southern Baptist and they don't allow drinking and dancing in the church halls. I've seen Jill and Jessa in heels and maybe Jana.
  20. ::shudders:: June said it was injured in a forklift accident and she usually wears socks. The one time she took off the sock it looked like gnats flew away from the deformed and possibly infected toenail.
  21. We/they have a week to go. The ceremony is next Saturday. I read somewhere that Taco Bell and a burger place, maybe Burger King, were now on the registry.
  22. The Duggars don't seem charity minded unless it's a photo op or episode plot. I've always wondered if they take a collection at the services they lead and what happens to that money. A relative married recently and didn't need much for the new home they bought together so had two very small registries and no showers. Some of the guests did something I'd never thought about doing. They bought gift cards for the restaurant where the reception was held providing either help paying for the reception or a future dinner at a restaurant the couple liked.
  23. One of my salt of the earth friends and I were talking last night and I brought up the beach discussion. She said would you let the child decide to never eat broccoli based on one taste? The child should go to the beach regularly to have the opportunity to get used to it. My youngest screamed like a banshee on the first trip to the beach and clung to me. Yet, two years later begged to go every weekend. Kids are like that.
