Cried my eyes out like I knew I would. It was a very sweet touch that Athena’s kids put flowers on the wife & kid’s graves.

She praised her mom as her hero, but later was talking about how M&JB would set aside time in Saturdays for each kid to go into the bedroom with them and share their hearts (or however she phrased it) and how her and Ben try to be intentional with time for each child. I am far from a perfect parent but I think that’s pathetic and makes me sad for those kids.

I’m hoping she’s smart and observant. Anna’s whole predicament should show her that she should have a good education and ability to work and earn her own money, not to rely on her future husband’s income (and authority) b/c sometimes life doesn’t work out the way you want. I don’t mind their outfits, but it looks so bland with the sand and beige sky.

It sounds like they went to Hawaii for a few days, then Evan’s parents are going to join them for a few more. (I think it’s just his parents but it could be the whole family. Carlin did mention that they were paying for the trip so that could add up if it’s everyone. But they apparently have a bottomless pit of money so….

(Snipped by me) I liked when they used to say “go to the largest temple in some city” and the teams had to figure it out versus the “go to Whatever Temple in some city and here’s the address” they tend to do now. ~~~~ Did anyone catch the commercial (Amazing Race brought to you by Allstate) about an hour into the show (Pops just started the surf challenge)through the show that possibly had an AR spoiler? I thought it was odd.

But this time the mud was slightly green! (I’ve just watched Australia Survivor 6 & part of 7 and they’ve had some interesting challenges. Some, I think would kill an American or at least rip an arm off.) ~~~~~ For me, this season has just become “I can’t wait for the week that Sai gets voted off.” I do like Mary, Joe, & Mitch. Everyone else is meh and I can’t stand Sai.

It would be nice but I don’t think they’ll ever escape Jill’s iron control of them. I’m hoping one will decide to wear pants.

On Kylie Kelce’s recent podcast, she said her OB told her not to do castor oil, that it lead to very messy births—I assume she meant pooping on the table.

We Thought We Knew You by M. William Phelps is a great book about this case. I highly recommend it. He commented during the Hulu doc. She also did something to a previous boyfriend, but I can’t remember if it was stalking or falsely accusing him of abuse too. (It was in the book.) And I never thought Bill the husband was having an affair before the wife died. I think he was an old man, saddened by the loss of his wife and got w/her sister, who was also recently widowed. Just two lonely sad people. I wish they would retry her but a lot of the more compelling evidence is from the cellphone is now excluded so I’m not sure they will. 7 years may be all the justice the family gets.

I assumed that too. And I took his little empowerment thing as maybe she was raised in a more conservative way and had to change to make it work for them. I didn’t get a weird vibe from him at all. And even now, seeing the 2nd episode, I still don’t.

I believe people probably comment on their hair. In my early 20s, I had long thick curly hair down to my butt & got frequent comments. I think their clothing is a hodge podge mess and don’t think many people would comment. Maybe an occasional I like your shirt if someone wanted to find something nice to say for some reason.

(Late I know but getting caught up) Lori Perry’s pink hair aside, would it have killed them to hire a blond or even redhead (despite them being Gibbs’ weakness)? The brunettes all look alike and this show is also dimly lit. So, Vera runs the profiling program, Lala is a fellow agent, and Tish is Franks’ girl.

Also, she seems practical and probably never lived high off the hog. I base that mainly on her home choices and I think she once said she drove an old car to keep costs down. Even the house she wanted to build on Coyote Pass wasn’t very big. She called it a casita and described it as an apartment over a garage type thing.

Any guesses as to who the Banker is this season? Sharon Stone popped into my head when they first mentioned it was a she but I don’t know why.
