  1. Ummm, I was rather excited when Kat announced a dance to "Strange Fruit" ...but then they put a line of white dancers up front and totally showcased Allison and Robert throughout the whole dance and gave them all the close ups and shit! WTF?!
  2. Just got to watch! Really like that idols are not a given, like they are in the US version where they are practically laying around camp just waiting to be picked up. Maybe there is one out there to replace the one that was played, but maybe not. Maybe there is a clue hidden on a reward, but maybe not. Loved the manicure kit fake out. Oh Henry! You fed your truest ally and your strong alliance to the wolves. I hope it was worth it. And I hope Kent is spared. His: "They are lucky breathing is automatic" about the lazy people was classic.
  3. I have been kind of meh for a couple seasons, but really liked this episode. I could do without the constant punking of Gage, but I enjoyed the more real-life moments. More dad and grandma would be great. They are a hoot, and you can totally see how Jeff's personality is familial. I feel sorry for V. Although I find him witty and entertaining (and often right about whatever he is going off on), I could never work with someone that is as intense and blunt to the point of harshness. Unless you are made of steel, it would wear on you and eventually crush your spirit. I mean, who hasn't Jeff made cry! Luckily I can enjoy him from afar!
  4. I'm not hatin' but this episode was like a mash up of a Bruce Willis "ragtag team of outcasts blows up an asteroid" movie, a John Gray men's retreat, and an episode of General Hospital!
  5. Watching the Forum come to grips with the Baird's win is like watching people going through the 5 Stages of Grief. The anger and depression is starting to inch toward acceptance.
  6. Isn't it a bit early to be having a redemption season after only 4 seasons. I mean, even Survivor waited longer than that to start bringing back returning players. I fear it will again take the bloom off the rose, as half of the show is watching the people adjust to the realization of just how hard it will be. Well, I know most people hated the brothers, but based on the unseen footage of them from the after-show, you were probably lucky to see so much of them fighting, cuz if you had to watch them doing dude comedy and pulling faces into the camera for 75 days, you probably would have hated them even more.
  7. Ah, congrats @cooksdelight! What a handsome couple you two make. And the kids look adorable. ...and I hate kids so that is saying something! :)
  8. Kory may be the quietest contestant I've ever seen race. He's coming out of his shell a little bit more saying a couple sentences each episode, but I swear there were episodes where we didn't hear a peep out of him. He's just a nice, quiet guy and I find it refreshing. On the US show they would probably pull him aside and insist he dial it up!
  9. Okay, thanks guys, not sure how I got it confused. ... ...Maybe that 4th glass of wine! :) Bummer to lose Mark.
  10. Ummm. WTF. We had to watch episodes of Luke and Jericho being snuggle buddies, BFF's and bonding over the stupid cookie jar, and now they vehemently vote against each other and we don't see anything about how that came about?!
  11. The most I liked Jason was during the bloopers when he was talking to the crew and wasn't "on". I know they want the contestants to ALWAYS BE CRANKED TO 11 and maybe that's what sells, but I will slink back to the BBC/OZ cooking shows and enjoy the silence! Giada's smile looks like she is wearing those dental wideners they put in your mouth when they clean your teeth. I was half-assed watching, did they feature Matthew at all?
  12. The end was a bit: "rag tag team of rebels and misfits goes off to blow up a comet and save the planet". It's seems to me like the show isn't taking itself quite as seriously as it used to. More wink wink moments, amazing LOTR-level narrow escapes by favorite characters, and that sort of thing. But still a great show!
  13. I think he is trying to come of as a "no-collar" free spirit type who isn't that into strategy or complex thinking or winning. (The no-collars are a thing on US Survivor.) He should have said he was a surfer. Same vibe but they wouldn't have any way to test him out!
  14. Um, Henry shoud have brushed up on some actual yoga moves before the show. Jarrod is one super slick playa, I'm rooting for him.
  15. This week was pretty damn unwatchable. Not sure who I am more sick of: sheepish stuttering Alexis, frantic defensive Rachel, nagging harpy Carly, whiny Sam, grimmacing hero Sonny, judgy Auntie Stella --there are so many to choose from. And when did Griffin become Ava's BFF to the point he leaves his shift at the hospital to drive across town and give her a pep talk. Ridiculous. They still don't know what to do with the guy. Bummed to read DOOL got Tyler! :(
  16. Best thing about this episode was Dimitry and Brandon's faces during one of the more unusual presentations.
  17. Pete is really an aware dude, checking himself on his irritability and the miscommunication right as it's happening. Under these conditions, that's pretty impressive. I think Brooke did self tap. The way the crew ran up on them with cameras to get the scoop did not seem like they had pre-told them a medical tap was imminent. She is a hella tough lady and reached her limits. I do think the new shelter created a deficit she could not come back from. As I watched this episode I kept thinking, wow, the brothers are being respectful, supportive, thoughtful even! --the forum will be crushed.
  18. I'm okay with it. Yes, I had to hear Maddie's song AGAIN, and Zach/Summer became yet even more totally inexplicable, but Avery didn't crash in that stormy drive back home, and Gunnar told Scarlett off (in hushed tones), and Will spoke more than a couple words, and Daphne didn't go all emo about Deacon & the new chick. I hope next season they will focus on music and simple life drama.
  19. OMG, what is Vanessa on?! No....seriously. Sooo, do I have this right...the all-stars "had to make a choice." Jesus God, write them some new lines!
  20. Thanks guys! I don't live in Oz, so I will have to figure out the episode #'s for the reveal days through an episode guide or something. Is it 3 episodes a week? If I find one I can just do math (oh no!)
  21. Okay well I am not going to pretend like I didn't rewind it just so I could rewatch Matthew's face as he was booted again, but I think those were real tears and they should stop playing with the dude.
  22. Dear Show: I think you have officially recouped your investment in that super thrilling location shoot. Please stop. I think Sam LITERALLY kissed Sonny's ring. When is SB supposed to come back? OMG, if that is what I am clinging onto in the hopes of anything remotely interesting happening, these are seriously desperate times.
  23. Hi Retro! I tried, but holy crap, it moves so slowly! When I watched the first whole hour+ episode and no reveal! Ack! So, I don't think I can hang with this one. I like design shows, but with more the pacing of say BBC's Great Interior Design Challenge. I might enjoy just the reveal/judging episodes, if those are on a certain day each week.
  24. Yeah, why not save the cookies for before challenges, and then he think he is going to recruit loyal soldiers for his army by giving them each 2 cookies.
