Although I thought the last scene was incredibly well acted, it annoyed me that what was said will almost certainly make Jack doubt Sam and his motivations for helping him. He knew that Dean wasn't on his side; now he has basically been told that Sam is only being nice to him because he wants to use him. While Sam does desperately hope he can get their mother back, I think that he truly is empathetic to Jack and his situation. I can only assume that that was one of the primary purposes of the scene, since Sam wasn't given the words to refute it.

I liked the actress who is playing Patience, but I didn't buy her as a high school girl. She looked too mature to me. Was it Berens who said that he thought we'd be pleased with what Sam got to do in this episode? Because I'm not. Just saying. The guys did a good job with that last scene.

There was another officer there when she first got back with Jack, wasn't there? She told him something about how nobody was weird (not an exact quote, I know) and sent him off on patrol. I do agree that while in big cities wearing the bullet-proof vests might be normal, it did look strange in what appeared to be a pretty low-key environment. What kind of got me was Sam and Dean, both big guys who have taken on multiple armed people in the past, being locked up and/or handcuffed by one single woman.

I think there's a difference between having a relationship/friendship or even sex and 'falling in love'. Falling in love to me means that it trumps pretty much everything. Although he was certainly interested in Madison, Sarah and Eileen, it was never enough to cause him to make any changes in his life at all.

What site is that (Tree Topper)?

I've never been to a con, although I enjoy watching the panels on YouTube. I've heard very few questions or comments that were critical of specific episodes or plot lines - the one big exception being when Carver was asked about Charlie at Comic Con. Do those kinds of things come out in meet and greets? If all the actors ever hear is how great things are, how balanced is their understanding of what works and what doesn't? Of course, maybe it doesn't matter anyway, since for the most part they seem disinclined to interfere in the overall story lines. Just wondering.

I don't think that story line is going to do Sam OR Dean any favors. I wish to hell they had picked some other angle, preferably one without Lucifer or a baby/child of any age.

I've seen so many shows and read so many books where previously interesting characters were basically flat lined by becoming parents. That's not what attracted us to them in the first place, and certainly not what I want to see. I don't know that I've ever said that I had doubts about a season before it even started to air, but these spoilers are not encouraging.

It does seem incredibly lazy to simply photoshop Mark S out. Maybe it's supposed to imply a void where he once was. Who will be the new King of Hell? Can't be Lucifer unless the AU shares the same hell as the real world.

I thought he was a little surprised by the lack of a response. In the past, when they've floated the idea of stopping, there have been a lot of very loud protests. The lack of it this time was kind of strange.

Yep, looking closer, I think you're right. -

I agree about Jensen's acting. That said, that looks like a weird and awkward place for Jody to be touching him to offer comfort. I could see her touching his shoulder or forearm, but that's not where it looks like her hand goes. -
I'm wondering what's going to happen to Mary. The last we saw of her, she and Lucifer were on the wrong side of the rip in space, and he had just turned to look at her with those red eyes . . . and he wasn't happy. It's not like there's anyplace to run, she hasn't had time to make allies, and there don't seem to be any weapons that can take him out. Where can they take that that won't be a retread?
-
Could be. Also, I think I read where one of the guys said that they did it early because it takes so long to draw the animations. Can't remember where I saw that though. It was after the Up Fronts.

A cartoon episode would seem to lend itself to including people who aren't there in real life. Just saying.

I'm lost . . . what do dragons have to do with the AU?

S12.E22: Who We Are/S12.E23 All Along the Watchtower

Loved the t-shirts and sweaty guys (I'm shallow). Liked Lady Toni's line about being a really shallow breather, and Sam acknowledging that he fell completely for the BMoL spiel. Really loved Dean's expression when he first thought of the grenade launcher, and loved Sam supporting him shooting it. I would have liked to have seen Dean in more of a General-type role, but man he did the heavy lifting on the whole emotional side. Nobody can do it better. That whole monologue when he was trying to get through to Mary was excellent. I thought they did a good job of transitioning between the Sam and the BMoL facility and Dean and Mary and the fight in the bunker. I was sort of surprised that they didn't even give a nod of the head to the fact these were people they were killing.; was a time when Sam wouldn't have even considered that unless they were possessed by demons. I liked Mary's apology at he end, and Dean acknowledging it, yet saying that what she did was what made them who they were, and taking credit for all they had done. It was nice seeing him so comfortable in his own skin. -

An announcement of a spinoff would be far more likely. Can't think of a spin-off I'd actually want to watch though.

Jared posted this on Twitter yesterday: Not sure he would advertise the end of the show as 'something exciting'.

I agree. I had little interest in watching Weekend at Bobby's because it was obviously going to be light on Sam and Dean. Watched it anyway . . . and loved it. I would've happily watched more episodes that largely featured Bobby and Rufus. When done well, with good, established characters, it works fine. The major problems being they don't do a very good job of developing characters, and when they do, they're killed off for the emotional impact. What a waste.

Maybe he hasn't seen that many demons killed? Almost certainly not while he was in the cage. Not sure since he's been out.

Didn't the previews show Dean firing an automatic rifle?

I hadn't even noticed the shot behind his back. Nice.
