  1. I hope so. Otherwise he gets points for sheer obliviousness.
  2. I agree that Sam cares a lot for Cas and considers him a friend. I just think that his dislike of Crowley has been strong enough in the past to possibly out-weigh that. Crowley killed Sarah, as well as others they had saved; put Dean in position to take the Mark of Cain, and turned his brother into a demon. I don't think Sam would mind at all seeing him dead, unless his save of Cas has changed his mind. Sam seems to forgive people for what they've done to him, but I am guessing he holds stronger grudges against those who hurt people he loves. (Mind you, I did say I guessed!) Simply because Mary obviously hates Crowley ("Touch me and I'll kill you"), and I believe Sam does as well (see above reasoning). I think Dean's got a more complicated relationship with him, perhaps because he blames himself for taking the Mark of Cain instead of blaming Crowley. I don't know; it's totally all speculation.
  3. Moved from 'Stuck in the Middle'. Maybe someone else has already come up with this . . . Regarding the Colt, acquiring it from Ramiel was obviously the point of the whole endeavor. My theory is that they already have a target in mind, and that they will send Mary after it since she seems to be doing so much of the wet work for them. So my question is whether Crowley is one of the five who are immune? For the sake of argument, let's say he's not. If the BMOL send Mary after him with the Colt, which way are Sam, Dean and Castiel going to jump? I'm thinking that Dean and Castiel at least will try to protect him in acknowledgment of him saving Cas. It's just possible that Sam may as well, just going by his look of absolute surprise when he stood up to face him after Crowley broke the lance. It seemed to me that he got a flash of a different view point in that instant. Sadly, if this situation actually were to occur, they would probably have him team up with Mary which I will absolutely hate.
  4. I'm not sure whose choice that is. In Regarding Dean, when Dean was eating waffles and showed Sam that his phone was broken, Sam pulled his out and said he'd let their Mom and Cas know they would need to contact him. There was something about the way he said 'contact me' that made me think he was glad it happened. I don't see much interest on her part though.
  5. I would label myself as a Sam-fan from the beginning, but even I thought the rug got jerked out from under Jensen when they substituted Jake Abel for him playing Michael at the end of Season 5. I have no idea how it would have played out, but when you've headed so strongly in one direction for so long, to take a side-step the way they did was disappointing. What happened to the righteous man starting and ending the apocalypse? Wasn't that 'written'? Plus, it didn't help that, to me, Jake Abel's Lucifer had no real weight or menace. I just saw this again the other day, and absolutely agree with you.
  6. I've never read that, and I thought I was fairly up to speed on the information that's been put out over the years. May I ask the source? I'd like to go back and read it.
  7. I absolutely agree with this. Dean would have come off as an insensitive jerk, and it wouldn't have helped Cas at all. I think that's why Dean shut down that line of conversation, because he was empathetic enough to realize that. What major changes? Somebody else holds the lance or draws the devil's trap? Like so many others have pointed out, this was an ensemble episode, and I liked it because of that.
  8. I would have an easier time with the idea that Mary is trying to make the world a safer place for Sam and Dean before getting herself killed and going back to heaven if there was ever any indication that she even liked them. I've had more positive interactions with perfect strangers, including the occasional hug and breakfast. The motivation just isn't showing.
  9. MV. I'm enjoying his episodes. He has obviously spent some time becoming familiar with the Supernatural universe, and his scripts show it. Does he incorporate every connection and bit of history the boys have - no. But with 12 years of background, some of it reconned, I'm not sure that would even be possible. That said, I can see how you might not feel the same way if your focus is primarily on Dean.
  10. I expect the brewery and Jared's portion of the bar are useful in terms of taxes. In some ways, it might be better if they weren't raging successes.
  11. Not to mention her willingness to partner with them and hide it from her sons, despite the fact that they tortured Sam. I think Dean will have a really hard time forgiving that.
  12. I just rewatched this. Yellow post-it notes are everywhere once you start looking for them!
  13. One other terrible thing about alzheimer's disease (for me, anyway) is how my memories of things I shared with my Mom were almost devalued once I could no longer share them with her. That seems weird, since I haven't felt that way about my memories with people who have actually died, but having her sitting right there and not be able to remember them made it almost like they hadn't happened. I think for Sam is would be even worse since their lives are so tied up together, and they don't have other people with whom they share much history. Maybe I'm weird though.
  14. What was the deal with Sam and Dean telling Castiel that he had been there for them all along? I don't think he was exactly there for them when he broke Sam's wall, or beat the crap out of Dean to get the tablet, or decided to go play God. I really wasn't looking forward to this episode, but it was better than I expected. I was really really happy they gave Cas a different meat suit for the flashback.
  15. One other small thing I noticed was when they actually put Sam and Dean into their cells, they weren't chained, nobody was (visibly) holding a gun on them, and at one point Sam's guard even had his back turned to Sam while he unlocked the door. And yet they both meekly walked into their cells anyway. Huh. Despite the plot holes, though, I still enjoyed it. I liked the fact that for once, the previews didn't spoil their deaths. I truly didn't see that coming, and couldn't figure out how they had managed it since obviously they weren't going to stay dead. I noticed Sam's comment about it being about six hours til midnight while they were running through the woods, and his statement to Dean that they needed to talk about 'this', which Dean naturally postponed, so the writers laid a bit of a trail to the eventual confession of the deal they made without beating me over the head with hints. And mostly I just like to see both Sam and Dean portrayed as smart, competent fighters. Loved Dean's line about them not being the ones who were trapped.
  16. Love it when Sam and Dean are tough and smart. Loved the episode as a whole despite a few nitpicks which I just plan to ignore.
  17. Do they finish filming in March? For some reason, I thought they went well into April.
  18. Would that make it easier to get into Canada without a passport? I'm thinking back to the story that J2 told about Jensen having left his passport in his coat pocket in Austin, and panicking when he needed to fly home for the twins' birth. I wondered at the time how he had gotten into Canada without it.
  19. That's what the BMOL said it would do. I sincerely hope that Sam and Dean didn't just take Mr. Ketch at his word on that, but I expect they did. My guess is that it does something else, and Sam and Dean just got played.
  20. There's been a number of these shirt campaigns, but I have no idea of what percentage of the cost of a shirt goes to a charity, or (from another angle) how much has been earned for charity from any one campaign. Does anybody know? And do J2M ever post how much has been donated to where? It seems like a reasonable thing to want to know.
  21. A few questions/observations: - Asa's mother acted like she knew Jody well when they first arrived. If Jody and Asa had only met a few months ago and mostly met up for coffee when he was passing through, how did Jody and Lorraine meet? - I think I remember in the first season Dean telling Sam that he and John had come up with the salt rounds, which impressed Sam. Yet Asa was making salt shells. - And lastly, when Dean was in the kitchen and Elvis asked if Sam was there, and then rushed out after him, I'm surprised that Dean's first thought wasn't that Elvis was going after Sam to hurt/hunt him. They (especially Sam) have had a rocky road with quite a few of the hunters they've met in the past, but Dean didn't seem especially concerned. All piddly stuff. This was a good episode!
  22. That trip to Scotland stretched belief to the limits for me.
  23. I've crossed over maybe ten times and had my car, purse and baggage searched once. Maybe I just looked shifty. I was wondering how they managed to get across the border without passports? If they can make fake IDs, I guess they can maybe make fake passports, but I doubt they would have had them ahead of time. Passports in their real names would be tricky given the fact they're (I guess) still officially dead. Or are there backroads where you can get across the border without documentation?
