  1. I can never find the 'extra' clips.on the FYI site...all I can find are clips from the shows that I've already seen. I watch the show on FYI though which gives you a longer version. If there are extra clips there could someone provide a link please? Thanks!
  2. I'll have to rewatch because I did not hear that line. I'm not getting an abusive vibe from him. But I am a bit worried about the clown painting.
  3. I remember that, absolutelyido, but I don't remember them being apart for a night or two. I guess they were.
  4. Maybe I am remembering last season incorrectly, but I was surprised that the couples came back from the honeymoons and went to their own houses. It sounded like they went for several days. I was kind of surprised by that. I thought last year they made moving in together decisions right away? Anyway, this whole season seems less "strict" than last year? I don't know if that is the right term. I just mean that the couples are all acting less like they are married to each other, and more like "it's only for five weeks." Anybody else feel that way?
  5. I am rooting for everybody. I think Ryan D has some growing up to do, I think maybe Jessica does as well. The incident over the "trashy" remark reminded me of the stupid "drama" over Doug lying about smoking a cigarette. Totally over the top. I thought Ryan tried to explain what he had really meant (or back pedal a bit) and Jess wouldn't have it. So he walked before he got really mad. Which is a way of managing a situation. I've done that, where I've gotten to the point I can't even say something without it being turned back against me and I just have to walk out for a minute to get control. I don't think Ryan is that bad a guy, but I don't think Jess is a good match for him. Unfortunately he's gonna get the blame for being matched with the wrong person when I think Jess should share some of the blame. Hopefully we'll see some different stuff in the coming weeks.
  6. Well, I really enjoyed this episode. It kind of gave me hope for all three couples. Gonna keep watching!
  7. I don't think this show is making light of marriage. The premise is that 50% of marriages fail, so clearly falling in romantic love is no guarantee that your marriage will work. The idea that maybe we get in our own way of finding a good partner because of our notions about romantic love intrigues me. These are legal marriages requiring a divorce if they choose not to continue, I think that's pretty serious. I wish the experiment was longer than 5 weeks because I don't think that's a real test, but I'm enjoying watching all the same.
  8. Oh, thanks! Of course I can no longer find the article that I read this morning that said tonight's episode was the finale. I'm sure I misread something somewhere. Glad there are a few more to go.
  9. So tonight's episode is the season finale? That seems rather early.
  10. I like them! I am really hoping they can turn it around.
  11. I think it was 10 shows but they had to make a decision after 5 or 6 weeks of married life. And I agree, I don't think that's long enough.
  12. I liked most of this episode, but had a difficult time getting past whatever the heck that was that Diane had on her head when she was in the blind. She looked insane when she showed up. 13. Thanks!!! I'll rewatch that. I admit I wasn't paying the closest of attention. ;)
  14. If you can find a link to that information, I'd love to see it. I'm super surprised the show would pick someone with ties to the original participants. That just seems to be asking for trouble. FWIW, he's not listed as a friend of Doug's on FB but he is friends with Jason and Cortney.
  15. Um, what the what? I did not know this, was this talked about in the episode? (I did a lot of fast forwarding through this show)
  16. I watched the first season and was kind of fascinated by the idea of viewing marriage as more than just a romantic notion, but also a commitment to the idea of building a relationship, a family, etc. Too many times sexual attraction is confused for love in our modern society and when that fades, there is little left to build on. So, when there was a couple where the wife was clearly disappointed at first sight, I thought it was interesting to watch and see what would happen. Now whether or not this was fabricated or scripted to give more drama, I felt it was an interesting premise to try to follow. It looks like Jaclyn is going to go that route also. So maybe it IS scripted to bring more drama to the show. I thought all of the spouses were cute, but Jaclyn did seem like someone whose idea of marriage and a good partner might be based on shallow stuff. Not sure how she "slipped" through the whole vetting process. I'm in. I'm sure I'll be watching this season.
  17. They certainly talked about Adam like he was a pet that they could exchange or a doll. I found that to be so realistic, yet immature. And yet, Jessa manipulated the entire relationship to begin with. Here I was, thinking she was being friends with Adam, and she was using him, just like Hannah was using Fran (very cute and funny BTW). These wimmen be crazy. The only people who came off well in this episode, in my opinion, were Elijah (saving Hannah from the lizard shirt) and Shoshanna and Ray who weren't even in it. And I'm back to disliking Hannah again.
  18. I'm happy that so far the writing in this show is keeping me interested. Love the acting and sets and all of it. Not sure how Cole survives or if he survives, which makes me really want to see the rest of the show!!! Good job writers! I too love the present day stuff more than the future stuff although I would miss Ramses if we stayed mostly in the present. What I didn't enjoy was the gory torture stuff (seemingly necessary in scifi shows) of two episodes ago. Ick! Now I have to wait a week? Hate that, but it just means that this is a winner of a story.
  19. The way Jessa has been portrayed, I don't think the character would view it that way. I really don't think she was trying to devise a way to hurt Hannah, but rather was, from her point of view, trying to help Adam. I think she even said something to Adam about being his friend. Then she peed in the street and got arrested and Adam said he couldn't hang with her because he didn't need that in is life. If a guy is going to find someone else, he's going to do it regardless. It's not like he wouldn't have found someone else if he hadn't been introduced to Mimi Rose. I think where Jessa was wrong was in not being open with Hannah about it. I could see her being shunned for that. I dunno, I just dislike blaming the relationship on Jessa, when two other people were involved. Adam didn't have to pursue Mimi Rose. He's not a helpless little boy.
  20. I was sad when she and Boxleitner divorced. I loved it when she guested on Babylon 5.
  21. I'm going to have to rewatch this episode...I didn't think it was that great. When it was revealed last week that Katrina had gone back in time to try to reset history and Abbie was swept up with her, I was really excited for the twist. And hoping it would last longer than one episode. The idea of Abbie having to convince Crane and then work in Colonial America was interesting for me and I thought could definitely go on for more than one hour. And possibly more sympathy for Katrina's plight of losing her husband and then later her son. In the end Katrina was trying to save her son. I don't know if she wanted to save the henchman of Moloch or just have a do-over for his childhood. I always thought that the story of Henry was incredibly sad. My issue with this show is definitely the writing, but not Katrina's character, rather, the over arching story has never been that well fleshed out. The things I like, Crane's take on modern American life, Abbie's relationships with her sister, her chief of police and with Crane, have often been sacrified for action and story telling that is frenetic. Oh show. I watch for Tom Mison and his pronunciation of lieutenant as leftenant. Not sure what else is left for me. I'm not a shipper at all. I do like Orlando Jones, and I have always loved John Noble though I don't think he was used well here. Perhaps Benjamin Franklin can become a regular cast member. I've always loved Timothy Busfield.
  22. I read a lot of opinions about Jessa's role in Adam's new relationship, but the only thing I fault Jessa for is lying to Hannah that she was certain she had told Hannah about introducing Mimi Rose to Adam. Jessa is going to meetings with Adam, seeing his pain about Hannah leaving and she decided to make an introduction. I don't see that as evil, but probably choosing to help a friend. And I doubt Adam was held hostage and forced to make a connection with Mimi Rose, he chose to make it into a bigger relationship. The person to be angry with is Adam. And even then, he is his own person and can choose accordingly. Hannah initially was happy about going to Iowa, despite what it might do to her relationship, I think she probably thought she could go to Iowa, put everything else on hold and then come back with nothing changed. She really wasn't thinking about what her friends might be doing during that two years. They would remain frozen in time for her. Only that's not what happens when you leave. Adam was so angry with Hannah about her 'random decision in a series of other random decisions' to go to Iowa that the swiftness with which he moved on did not surprise me. A month seems short but when faced with the uncertainty of what his actual relationship status with Hannah was, I am not surprised he found someone else. I'm intrigued by this turn of events, and whether Hannah and Adam get back together after learning more about what constitutes a great relationship, or move on to others, I think this week's show and last week's show have upped the game considerably in the storytelling and the acting.
  23. I had been thinking that there was not enough time between 2015 and 2043 for Cole to be related to Cassie, but now I'm thinking it's possible? Have we been told Cole's birthdate?
  24. It really bugs me when women are shown to be afraid of pet animals. Or to say they hate them, like birds. I don't get it. I mean, everyone has fears that are not rational (spiders for me) but birds? C'mon, expand your mind a little. Makes me think Cortney has never been outside. Blah. So glad she decided against a rabbit. Because surprising someone with a pet before discussing it with them is not a good idea.
  25. With regards to the editing of Cortney's reaction to Jason's announcement of his schedule, I have been witness to many a fight over the holidays. People have enormous amounts of emotion attached to the big holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. They have traditions and expectations that are difficult for them to take a step back from. It takes some maturity and understanding to figure out that whatever your traditions as a child were, they are going to have to adapt in a big way when you get married. Many many many women I know seem unable to comprehend this. They take it personally that they cannot have everything as they expect it to be especially if they had set traditions as a child growing up. I think men are a little more forgiving of the traditions, mostly because they just have to show up. I was surprised by her lack of understanding over the schedule, mostly because she has been portrayed as someone with more mature thinking. This year, however, her lack of ambition, combined with her general "depression" has me really concerned about this relationship. Poor Jason. Wife expects monetary support, with no question, can't pull herself together to fix up the apartment, and she is starting to exhibit unrealistic expectations. Hmmm. I'm really hoping it's a set up to create drama and pique viewers' interest.
