  1. As I recall from when I was a kid and my mom used to make it, the dominant flavors were parsley and vinegar. I couldn't stand it, ugh. On the other hand, my mom isn't German so maybe she was just bad at making it, lol.
  2. Others have pointed out that she comes off as utterly humorless, which she does, but another thing that gets me is her expression never changes during her DRs. Or ever, really. She's just constantly like 😐. It makes me a little uncomfortable, like she's an android. Hey, do you guys think she sees Carson as a threat? I don't know, just a feeling I get. If and when she does succeed in getting him out (please no!), she may have to be reprogrammed.
  3. I'm glad. Kattan definitely gained friends and fans from this experience, at least. Overall, his time in the house may have been miserable, but it definitely had its overall upsides. IKWYM. I got a warm feeling during last night's show when Shanna was trying to reassure Chris by telling him how much he was loved. He wasn't really hearing her at the moment, too busy feeling guilty, but I hope now that he's out he can gain some perspective and accept that he is a good person and that people genuinely like him.
  4. Thanks for posting that video, @himela. I hadn't re-watched those flash forwards in ages. Kevin's son tells Randall his dad went to get take out because he realized there wasn't any food in the house, prompting Randall to mutter "classic Kevin". That makes it sound like there is no wife or live-in girlfriend in the picture. Unless she's just a bad hostess, lol. But then in the scene with Rebecca, Kevin is definitely (and obviously) wearing a wedding ring. And there are also those woman's clothes in the closet of his hotel room when he's practicing his best man speech. That was 5 years prior though, still time for things not to work out. The wedding ring, though ... Kind of tired of the writers being cute with their misdirections and teases. I'm glad this speculation will all finally be laid to rest in a few months..
  5. Wow, are we sure Teddi wasn't in the NXIVM cult at some point? That shit sounds eerily familiar. Creepy af. https://www.newsweek.com/allison-mack-nxivm-trial-diet-500-calories-1443377 I'm sort of pouting because my DVR didn't automatically record this and I forgot it had started. I should be able to catch the first episode on the CBS site, I hope.
  6. Same, except I also sort of "know" Todrick Hall as the guy who's house everyone stayed at forever after the end of last BB. Peeps here were speculating he was putting them up for so long (thereby getting himself in the limelight) because he was either already slated for or hoping to be on CBB. Yep! Never underestimate a famewhore, lol.
  7. Ricard has said he would have voted for Heather in that scenario.
  8. Wow, very well said, @Jobiska. I was going to post something similar in response to posters thinking the cast was not having fun in Ponderosa or not hanging together, etc. These Ponderosa videos seem to be a deliberate editing choice as you indicated, a showcase to spotlight one or two features of that player they wanted to highlight. The videos are only a 5-minute heavily-edited glimpse of the days they spent there. This cast in particular is one of the least bitter (Shan excepted) of many we've seen in the past. Social media shows that they've been visiting each other, partying together, and supporting each other's SM posts. I'm sure they hung out together plenty during Ponderosa - if for no other reason than what the heck else was there to do? I'm glad someone else saw Ricard's Mt Rushmore showcase as sarcastic. I mean, he put himself at the top, that wasn't meant to be serious, lol. I also wouldn't be surprised if he's purposely worked on acquiring self-confidence and self-appreciation in response to growing up different, not to mention currently living an unconventional life that many folks would think "strange" (just read some of the comments here in the first episode, you can only imagine what the Facebook fans were saying), but that could just be my pro-Ricard bias showing, lol.
  9. Just recently discovered this show, finished Season 1 last night. I knew Greg Vaughan from Days of our Lives and that he'd left to do Queen Sugar but didn't really know anything about it. I love family dramas and adult sibling relationships are my jam so I'm loving this so far. Since I'm years behind everyone else it's silly to even comment, lol, but just wanted to mention one thing - in the bar Lena tells Charley she'll divorce Felix's ass if he signs with Milwaukee because "if you haven't noticed, there's not a lot of black folks living there". I thought that was an odd remark since Milwaukee was one of the primary destinations of the Great Migration and is still 39% Black according to the latest census. I mean, I can understand the wealthy wife of an NBA star not being excited about Milwaukee for many reasons, especially compared to LA or NYC, but "not a lot of black folks" shouldn't be one of them. Maybe she meant "not a lot of RICH black folks" and didn't want to come off as snobbish. *shrug* Just wanted to get that off my chest, lol. On to Season 2!
  10. Plus she laid out her strategy and accomplishments in an articulate, coherent, and persuasive manner. Her FTC performance was miles above DeShawn's and Xander's. The jurors probably had their minds made up already, but if any of them were still on the fence, Erika convinced them to swing her way. They say jurors want to feel good about their vote, and she gave them plenty of reason to do so.
  11. All we can hope is that it was far enough along that they didn't have time to take out all the garbage (have they started filming yet). Hopefully they'll see how poorly everything was received this season and make changes for 43. Nope, 42 was filmed back-to-back with 41 and Jeff has proudly stated in interviews that 42 will include all the same twists, advantages, and general fuckery as 41, including Do or Die and Turn Back Time. I share your hope that all that nonsense will be dialed WAY back for 43, but Jeff is famous for not listening to anyone except the (probably mythical) "people on the street" (who conveniently love everything he does) and Mike White. Hopefully Mike will talk some sense into him but he may be too busy writing White Lotus season 2 to be bothered. Jeff also seems to be very enthusiastic about 42, more so than this season. That's probably not a good sign.
  12. I would argue she contributed to Luvu's IC wins with her puzzle prowess. Every pre-merge challenge that finished with a puzzle she was right there (with DeShawn), arranging the pieces like a speed demon.
  13. That scene with Ricard having breakfast before anyone else was up and then Shan comes out, walks right by him, refuses to look at him or say good morning, and silently gets her food was so uncomfortable. I may have experienced a bit of PTSD while watching it, lol. It's sad because Ricard was so looking forward to seeing her. Ricard may have an ego but I think he'd be fun to hang with. Loved Survivor Rushmore.
  14. Well, it can't really be called a reunion since none of them will have been parted at that point, lol. "Aftershow" makes more sense in this case. I suppose it will be the same for 42 since they were filmed back to back. I won't miss the garish makeup and puffiness of the contestants as they have appeared in reunion shows of seasons past, nor Jeff's ridiculous shenanigans with the audience, but it's too bad no pre-jury contestants will get to participate. Still, it has to beat WAW's sad zoom reunion show. Wow, that ew.com article. The contrast between Shan's responses and everyone else's is striking. Jeez! I guess her dour expressions during tribal are not just selective editing. I have no idea who will be next but I pity Deshawn when and if he walks into that den, lol.
  15. I read the finale is 3 hours so I think it has to be 5 people. With this crazy season who the hell knows though, lol.
  16. Yes, lol. I noticed it in his first game. I don't *think* we've had clues left on the board during his run (maybe because Ken keeps things moving at such a brisk pace) so I haven't had to get annoyed with him yet, but the first time that happens due to his deliberation, he's on my list!
  17. But so much better for the viewers! Reem was the only entertaining thing about the EOE that season, lol.
  18. I agree, peach. People have brought up other invisible or poorly edited winners such as Natalie White, Bob, or Michele, but none has been as invisible as Heather. Especially upon rewatch of those seasons, you can see their winner arc, subtle as it may be. Heather, OTOH - I mean, when you've become a joke and a meme by midway through the season - people literally asking "who's the blonde?", well, it would be a very strange editing choice should she make it to F3. Preview for this week: Double boot week - divided into two teams, with one immunity winner/one boot from each. Blue team: Danny, Deshawn, Liana, Xander, Evvie Yellow team: Shan, Ricard, Naseer, Erika, Heather
  19. That EW link also has a secret scene that shows the naming of the merge tribe. The kind of nice scene they used to air on the show before advantage-paloozas took up all the screen time.
  20. Remember S4 with when Neleh and Pascal went on a yacht reward and when they came back she took the mint out of her mouth and offered it to the others? That wasn't received very well either, lol. What with Ricard's bad timing of "trying" a piece of papaya and the way he was so boneheadedly un-subtle in telling Xander to play his idol, I'm thinking he's not the most socially aware person out there. Must be why Shan had to be the Enforcer, he's just bad at it.
  21. Oh, for sure. A big deal as far as impact on the game. What I was referring to was the spoiler person implying that Deshawn's defection would be seen as a shocking "betrayal" and they even mentioned hoping he wouldn't be "canceled" as a result. I'm just saying that as of now, I think most viewers would be perfectly OK with Deshawn instigating a Shan vote, depending how it plays out. This alliance is no Cookout, lol.
  22. He does for sure. That alliance seems pretty loose though, they've been together only a few days and don't see eye to eye on much. If Deshawn defects it may not be as big of a deal as the spoiler person made it sound like.
  23. Heather is Keyser Soze! That would be hilarious and awesome.
  24. All the "rumors" mentioned were supposed spoilers from one reddit poster. They predicted a few specific things that were accurate so naturally their other so-called spoilers were given credibility. But clearly this person was either trolling or lied to by their source (Xander lol) so now all bets are off. It could be that the rest of their spoilers besides Tiffany winning will turn out to be true, or that none of them will. But hey, at least a lot of us were shocked tonight, lol. I was never worried for Tiffany throughout the entire episode, not until that final vote was read. Even then I was halfway waiting for/hoping Jeff would pull a surprise twist out of his bag of tricks. 😂
  25. Same here. Mamma Mia came to me instantly but I wanted to second guess myself because I was pretty sure it wasn't #1 here in the US until I reread the clue and saw "in the UK" and then I was confident. As soon as I saw the category I told my husband "I'm betting it all", so, phew!
