  1. Agree. My guess is that those who support Alicent/Aegon will care a great deal, since tarnishing Rhaenyra helps their cause, and those who support Rhaenyra will look the other way, for the same reason.
  2. Exactly. Sounds like the other proposed spinoffs will incorporate one specific piece of the original GOT: House of the Dragons to cover political intrigue with dragons, The Long Night was going to be the White Walkers origin story, the Jon Snow sequel will presumably be about beyond the Wall adventures; 10,000 ships will be about Nymeria's conquest of Dorne. It is very unlikely there will be another GOT that includes all the different elements that made the original a worldwide blockbuster hit. If the Dunk and Egg spinoff ever gets off the ground, that will likely have a broader appeal since it will have two likeable protagonists on a road trip having adventures along the way. I knew HOTD wouldn't be for everyone and I expect viewership to drop off (I'm surprised the numbers have remained so high) as the focus of the show becomes more clear and no true heroes emerge. That's fine, I'm here for the duration.
  3. Martin has said that genetics don't work in this universe like they do in ours, but he didn't say how they actually do work, so in other words, they're entirely plot related, lol. But that said, I don't think platinum hair is necessarily dominant as there are examples of Targaryen offspring who don't have the Valyrian white hair/violet eyes when their other parent was a non-Targ - Jon Snow, for one. But since Rhaenyra has a white-haired husband, obviously that doesn't apply in her case, so it is puzzling as to why she didn't seem to consider the consequences and just kept popping out little Harwins. Maybe, in keeping with what seems to be her supreme sense of entitlement, she legitimately thinks it shouldn't matter since her Strong children are still of her royal bloodline? Like she told her son, it doesn't matter who your father is, you're a Targaryen. Or maybe since DNA testing doesn't exist, her plan is to just keep denying it.
  4. All the great houses had a godswood. It didn't mean they worshipped the old gods, they were kept for tradition's sake and as a place of reflection and solitude. The Red Keep godswood is where Sansa had her secret meetings with Ser Dontos when he was helping plan her escape from Kings Landing.
  5. or foot jobs *in* the hot tub going all the way back to S2, lol
  6. I'm skeptical. I mean, it's just such a random and kind of dumb accusation. Is trash talking Brazilians even a thing? I can't think of a single stereotype about them as a people. It's a huge diverse country. And Michael of all people?? Really? It's too bizarre to contemplate even for a loose cannon like Indy. We'll see I guess. I admit I'm a bit let down after believing for a few short minutes that Terrance had been kicked out of JH, lol.
  7. Right? If you are evicted at F9 without having won a single comp, let's face it, you're not a good competitor. Even if you legitimately threw most or all of them, there's zero evidence you would actually have won any of them. And I love Joseph! I'm just saying, lol.
  8. I just finished watching the Manti episode. I was filled with pity for him and disgust for Naya, the NFL, and the media. I've listened to a lot of true crime podcasts about catfishing and cons recently such as The Hollywood Con Queen, Snowball, and Sweet Bobby, to name a few (all excellent btw). What struck me is how every person who fell victim to the con, even if there was no romantic involvement or even if the money lost wasn't a huge amount, was left broken and damaged and forever changed. The psychological effects are devastating. It's heartbreaking. I'm glad for Manti that he's in a better place and was able to get the help he needed. Exactly. And to continue to be involved with Manti after her "death", till she couldn't resist resurrecting herself. I think I spaced out or dozed off for a few minutes during part one, but what was the deal with Manti meeting up with "Lennay's" family (including Ronaiah) at the airport? And who was the little girl who told him she missed her "Auntie Lennay"??
  9. I thought there were spoilers for S43 but maybe they were fake. It's been months since I browsed the Survivor spoiler subreddit and I can't remember who was predicted to win. I just skimmed through all the bios from the EW article and no one's name rang a bell. And I refuse to even open the S44 spoiler thread till this season is over, lol. I have a hard enough time keeping up with who's who on the current season.
  10. Last week they made it look like LC and Logan figured out Pepper's relative from the clues. In fact I assumed they'd shared that info at some point with Lark and Louise since their plan appeared to be for Louise to be the guesser and pick Pepper? I could be wrong. And now Logan has figured out that LC isn't related to Laurence Fishburne after all since his name was on one of the stars. Way to tip the scales, show! And yeah, they're never gonna guess Logan, lol.
  11. Oops, you're right. I saw that but was only half listening. So it looks like we will get a second season. I sure hope so but I don't trust abc, lol. Been burned too many times. That's one of my worries about the show's longevity, tbh. What made this season so cool is that the CR's were all pretty A-list. If they have to resort to recruiting I'd be afraid it would devolve into another has-been celebrity reality show like Masked Singer and Celebrity Big Brother have become. Funny that LC's actual father is named Laurence and he named all the kids after himself, lol. Like George Foreman. With the exception of LC, these people's lack of pop culture knowledge is just embarrassing.
  12. Yeah, he was stressing me out big time, lol. When he locked in "love after love", I'm all, wow, I thought it was "life after love" all this time, but he seems so sure, maybe I'm wrong? But of course not, lol. And the opposite with Black Velvet, I thought the lyrics were "a new religion that'll bring 'them' to their' knees, not "ya" to "your" knees, so I was fully expecting her to lose that round but yay! she didn't. Totally agree it's better to draw a complete blank and walk away. It's painful to watch when you know they're wrong, but they can't hear you yelling at them from your couch. I admittedly haven't watched every season or episode of this show but has the "friend" ever helped in any meaningful way? Seems like every time they bring them up to the stage they just shrug their shoulders.
  13. Classic controlling asshole behavior. Play the martyr when all else fails.
  14. They're brother and sister. Alyssa's paragraph above is formatted so it looks like she's Aemon's daughter but she's Jahaerys and Alysanne's daughter. The repetitiveness and similarity of Targaryen names is enough to confuse anybody!
  15. In Canada, it crashed the Crave site (platform for HBO in Canada) That's so on brand for HBO, lol.
  16. Kyle told Monte he spilled about the leftovers. He is hinting to Taylor saying didn't KYLE say or KYLE did, but she isn't picking up on it Ugh. You can't "hint" intel to Taylor. You have to be very direct with her or she won't get it They should know that by now. Why beat around the bush at this point? Jesus, these people.
  17. It's not. There isn't an "all will be revealed at the finale" situation, although the finale is very eventful. I had a hard time getting into this show initially but after three seasons I rank it among my all time favorite series. It was episode 6 of season 1 that sealed the deal for me. If you can make it through two more episodes and are still bored, then this show clearly isn't your cup of tea. No shame in that and you're certainly not alone, lol. I think everyone would agree with you that the characters are unlikeable, more so in season 1, IMO. Nevertheless I find them and their twisted family dysfunction compelling.
  18. They are so dumb sometimes.
  19. Is this a Mississippi thing? I’ve never heard of a bank writing paper for a mortgage on a house which excludes the property on which the house sits - unless maybe there’s some overriding mineral rights claims involved, and that’s a big Maybe. Yeah, that story makes no sense for the reasons you stated. I'm gonna have to call BS. Shocking, I know!
  20. I haven't read Fire and Blood but I read the two novellas lifted from it. What I'm excited about is is seeing the rather dry and cursory telling of the tale in book form brought to life and fleshed out on TV with (hopefully) great dialogue and characterizations. I loved the first episode and I'm super psyched to see it all unfold. I also read that there will be opening credits starting next week. I hope they're epic. Although the first episode got super high ratings which is great, I have to think that a portion of the viewers, particularly the ones who loved GOT mainly for the Starks, will drop off as the series progresses. There aren't any conventional heroes in this tale, everyone is pretty awful. That doesn't bother me, as I don't need characters to be rootable as long as they're interesting, and the politics and scheming in GOT was my favorite part, but a lot of viewers don't feel the same. I do wonder how they'll eventually end the series. It's so dark. I hope we're not left too depressed, lol.
  21. Also, Brittany's goodbye message to Indy came off as insincere IMO. She's all, I found out you're in the 5 swatters, I'm also in an alliance, love you bye! Indy didn't look impressed. Kyle came off like a little shit in his GBM. As he does. As far as jury management, I have to think that blaming evictees for their own eviction rarely endears them to you. Especially if it's BS.
  22. I distinctly don't remember that. Do you have an episode or even scene you could point me to? I don't remember that either, but even if so, the Targaryens were deposed former rulers in GOT so openly expressing support or even kind words for them would likely get you the side-eye, if not executed for treason. I'm sure the during their centuries of rule Targaryens had plenty of loyal Maesters. It's really not. When allowed to labor naturally, over 70% of breech births can be safely born via the standard process as long as the medicos keep their hands off the baby. I don't recall any mention of midwives or other types of medical professionals other than Maesters in Westeros, which is unfortunate, as Maesters in general don't seem to be very competent. Do they do much more than apply leeches or dose patients with milk of the poppy? I feel like if you're grievously injured or fall ill in the GOT world, you're pretty much doomed.
  23. LC is my favorite also. And wow, did she look sex-ay in the scene where she was playing Connect 4 with Logan. Speaking of LC, I found it interesting that apparently they have actual reference books in the library where they can look up things. I wonder how comprehensive they are.
  24. Right, I do remember that now. Jeez, talk about a stretch. Lark is tall and lanky and looks like a model herself, so I would be racking my brain trying to come up with actual models, not random actresses who played them in a movie, lol. I didn't get a good look but
