First season Revenge was better because it was usually somewhere between epic homicide revenge and lame-ass incest photo revenge. Emily planned stuff out for weeks and had orchestrated schemes often using a target's weaknesses against them. Now it's just throwing stuff at someone until something sticks.

Margaux's epic revenge so far? "Ha ha, you look like you're having sex with your dad." Maybe she can order a bunch of pizzas for Grayson Manor next. Jack is a straight up loser again. Plus, he gets to explain next week that he only married "Amanda" because he thought she was Amanda Clark and not for her horrible personality. It's a good match however, since Daniel broke her baby maker and Carl is the closest thing to Amanda Clark's own child. Frenchy is a total idiot. In the weeks before their miraculous reunion, Daniel slept with Louise and they were split up. In the months before, Daniel SHOT Emily and nearly killed her, let alone leaving her barren. He owed her a life save since he nearly took hers. Daniel gets blamed for one shitty thing he didn't do but never got revealed for the many shitty things he did do.

Or Nolan buys Jack a massive boat and they both go off with Carl to do work for the Peace Corps or whatever it was Jack was trying to do back in Season 1.

Married At First Sight: The First Year
ketose replied to Primetimer's topic in Married At First Sight
My mother was in nursing school when I was a kid and she was only gone when she was in class, not reading the same binder for hours on end like Jason seems to do. What's really hilarious is that the "interviews" with Jason show him with about an extra 2 weeks of hair on his head, so it's obvious a lot of the commentary was filled in after editing. -

Did Cortney quit doing burlesque or did they decide to let her go? Also, I'd love to know what kind of office wants to dump her and lose free publicity. -
I was just thinking how the story would have changed if Conrad had a fatal heart attack by accident in that first episode. The show has kind of implied he was the "Real" villain, even though Victoria is as bad as he was. Would Emily or David for that matter need to go through all the crap they did? Then I realize I'm just having these thoughts because I want this show to end.

It was all a dream. Nolan and David sprung her out of juvie and fled the country years ago.

I caught the last part of the episode. According to IMDB it is the top rated Boondocks of the series. It was kind of heavy-handed, but I did like the fact that Huey was scolded by King for resorting to violence.

Married At First Sight: The First Year

For now, I think Jason has his head on straighter than the rest. Training to be a firefighter means he has a Plan B if his wrestling doesn't work out. Cortney seems like she wants to be famous and moved away from home to do it. Doug can't hold down a job and while Jamie is a nurse, she calls herself a TV host first on her Twitter page. Jamie's Bachelor history indicates that she wants to get married. The guy she marries may be incidental. -
Everyone blowing up in Grayson Manor, except Charlotte, who gets all the Clark money.

Married At First Sight: The First Year

The preview clip looked like Jamie's mom didn't show up for something later on, so there may be some basis for being skeptical. So, it looks like Monet and Vaughn are getting shoehorned in. -

The nursing thing probably isn't as location dependent compared to her spokesmodel / hosting career ambitions. You need to be in NY for that. -

I think Jamie should hold off on kids until she gets over the mama drama. It seems like she's going to have kids to prove she's a better mom than her mom. -

I'm waiting to see if they will procreate in time for a new season. -
I don't think Louise is entirely a good person. She was coming on pretty strongly to Daniel even though he rebuffed her. Of course, the crazy pills made her try to kill Margaux. Louise is currently not evil, though.

It's seems like Louise and her family is the fallback position if ABC runs out of money for Emily Vancamp or Madeline Stowe. That's okay becasue I love Elena Satine and she was totally badass on Matador.

Actually, Benedict would make a good Doctor, but I think that case has already been made.
-
I loved Talons of Weng Chiang. The rubber creature stayed in the shadows. The Doctor solved a mystery and the villain's henchman abducted women from the streets of London. The technobabble was down to a minimum and Leela was more alien than the Doctor. I didn't know that. I remember Ventham from Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter.
-
Technically, a Time Lord can choose the form of their regeneration. However, the Doctor usually dies in some dramatic fashion and I guess he loses the ability to determine his new persona.

Every time I see the title, that song by WHAM! still gets into my head.

Time Warner completely failed me so I had to wait until ABC unlocked the episode today. Wow. I believe part of the title was Eliza spending 3 hours to make people think she wakes up looking the way she does. I guess the Corynn thing was supposed to be about Eliza not having to bomb someone with social media to feel better about herself. It still felt a lot like HIMYM and the whole "The Wedding Bride" storyline. Henry faced his fear, but still ate pavement because that's what facing your fear means sometimes. This is the first time in a while that I've gotten so into a one-season show that was cancelled. Over the last decade or so, I've come to believe that most of the time an incredible freshman season will eventually lead to increasingly crappy seasons after it. I loved shows like "Brimstone" and "Now and Again" and it might be because they went out with peak quality. I stopped watching "Glee" and "Lost" after the first season because they seemed like a let down after the first season. I end up watching shows like "Revenge" that get worse by the week out of some lingering interest in the show. I don't even know how a satisfying series finale for "Selfie" would work. Eliza and Henry get married? Eliza becoming a smart, polished professional and Henry becoming a charming, fun-loving dude? Henry and Eliza starting a life coaching business? The best ending to Selfie was in the first episode where Henry told Eliza to experience a moment and not just post it. The same applied to Henry, who spent so much of his time staying in the lines that he didn't really experience what life had to offer, either.

I'm guessing that's a family plot or a mausoleum. I don't remember seeing "Daniel" on it.
-
I watched Pan Am, too, almost to the bitter non-end. I assume she played the one with the French accent.
-
After the story of Malcolm killing and unnecessarily torturing the family of some driver who crippled a relative, he's obviously supposed to be Keyser Soze. The reality is that he will only be as badass as the writers let him, because he can't kill the star or Victoria. Maybe they'll let him kill Charlotte or Nolan or Jack or something.

I miss the fact that there's no end game for this show now. In the first season or two, you could envision Emily taking down everyone, Victoria going down in a blaze of crazy and her reuniting with her dad (because we all knew he was coming back). Now we have the Ellis family and the Crazy Canadian. Emily lost Aiden, she lost her fertility and she lost any real reason to get revenge. It really feels like this show is going to limp along to the point where ABC puts it on VOD because the ratings aren't worth airing.
