The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
Temperance replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
There are also other Tests gaining popularity besides the GED (General Education Development). I recently heard of a few called NEDP (National External Diploma Program). HiSET. and the TASC test. All of these are thereotically easier and a little more accessible for people who don't come from a formal education or have had more difficulty in school. One of my friends was homeschooled, but graduated from an on-line high school. All of these options are avaible to Duggars, and they could even hire a tutor to help them pass the tests. Anything that gives something to show for their education. -

I thought after Jessa; they stopped testing and she was the first one fail the GED. -
Addison is 16/17 months younger than Garrett which technically closer to a year younger than 2. Michelle had kids every 16 months or every year. I hope Kendra and Joe go to slower pace with kids every 2 years.

Good to Jeremiah again. He's been missing for a while, but hopefully not at ALERT. Guy in the plaid shirt and jeans looks familiar? Maybe Bobby Ballinger? -

Maybe she thought yay! lacked dignity for his political career. -
Jeremy has the family portrait from the baking photos on his Instagram.

Unlike Jill R, Michelle's birth rate was pretty consistent up til 40. Jill Rodrigues's birth rate has slowed down the older she gets. I know it's possible Jill is done having kids. I know it's possible she could have at least one more. My point was more it's hard to say what will happen in the future. By the way, Jill has twin sisters Amy and Angie, who are a year younger than her. Amy stopped having kids after the car accident. Angie has 8 kids and is pregnant with #9.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Actually I think Lauren being hyper-focused on the baby would the best thing at this point. It would do a lot of good to stop ruminating about Asa and concentrate on her little girl. Also I get the sense that Lauren gets lonely with no one but Si around a lot. I don't get sense they have a lot to talk about it and he may get tired trying to make conversation. Josiah doesn't strike me as the type of guy to want his wife to make her life revolve around him. Jim Bob and John David seem more those types, and Josiah isn't particularly like them.- 6.4k replies

I agree there's a big variety in fundie cultures. Yet all fundies are dangerous, because by definition they hold extreme religious beliefs. If they didn't, they wouldn't be fundies. Ben's parents homeschooled. They also seemed more fundie when Ben and Jessa married. Jessica (Ben's cop sister) seems to have rebelled getting a job and moving out (and in with her then boyfriend, now husband). Ben's parents seem less concerned with the touching rules although I'm sure if they could they would counsel their children to wait for sex until marriage. Ben's sister Michelle is 17 and since her parents clearly believe in young marriage, they will probably encourage her to marry this boyfriend sooner than later. Lots of fundies wear pants. The Bontrager girls grew up wearing pants, because they live on a farm and it's practical. The Bontragers are as fundie as the Duggars in all other respects. Ben and Jessa have 3 kids after 5 years. I've known two fundie couples who had three kids and were already expecting #4 on their fifth anniversary. (Yes it's possible, but unlikely that Jessa is expecting again. Ivy is less than 6 months old). @OpieTaylor (great username!) Bill Gothard wanted siblings to be best friends.

Addison is fairly common and popular first name for girls. It peaked in 2007 and 2010 at #11 of the top 1000 names for girls. In 2018, it was #35 for girls in the top 1000. I was expecting a more traditional name to go with Garrett. Renee is Kendra's middle name so her daughter shares a middle name with Kendra. Garrett David Duggar is named after Michelle's father Garrett David Ruark. Garrett is also Joe's middle name. I was expecting something like Mary Leona (after Grandma Mary). Or Leona Renee. Anyway it's a normal name. I hope Kendra and Addison are very healthy.

It is considered possible for women to have babies up til around 45 and there are a few women who've had babies beyond that. At 41 Jill could 2 or 3 more babies going by age alone. In Jill's case, she was massively fertile in her twenties and her fertility has been slowing way down in her thirties. She's only had 2 children in the past five years. Now she's in forties and there is more of a drop in fertility. She may be able to at least one more baby though.

If the election is in 2020, he can get married before it. -

I think there may be good reason not to believe it. This is idle speculation and the sources aren't that good. It does look she's headed towards Arkansas, but that may be to be closer to friends and family. I don't really know anything about her, so it's possible this is not even close to true. We've seen this before with all those guys who were "courting" Jana. -
Name tags (had to click the link and make it bigger.) Basically they're the Duggar sisters in order from oldest to youngest. The one out of line is Michelle. From the left: pink/red button down: Michelle Duggar (out of the line) Girl last in line with big belt: Jana Duggar in front of Jana: Jill Duggar in front of Jill: Jessa Duggar(probably) in front of Jessa?: Jinger Duggar in front of Jinger: Joy-Anna Duggar (Joy and Jill have matching lilac cardigans.) in front of Joy-Anna: Johannah Duggar in front of Johannah: Jennifer Duggar in front of Jennifer: Jordyn Duggar in front of Jordyn: Jamie Duggar (fake Duggar girl. None of the the Duggar girls are named Jamie). in front of Jamie: Josie Duggar (front of the line)

Jed is rumored to be courting some woman named Krista. I have no idea if this is true. 20 -
Trying to divert suspicions of the upcoming pregnancy announcement? Or trying to rebuild likability by showing Jinger posed with the other most beloved member of the family?

Today is Anna Maxwell's 27th birthday. She is the second Maxwell daughter. The post says she has an active life and a sparkle in her eye around her nieces and nephews. It does seem like they may have given up on finding someone for her too. They gave up on Sarah, but she is ten, almost eleven years older than Anna.

Kendra's parents now have a baby son who is younger than Garrett.
-
Isn't Jana still traveling? Or maybe she just got home and is putting the TTH in order? Or maybe Jana herself thinks Jill should be able to handle it on her own and doesn't need help? There are at least a dozen good reasons why Jana shouldn't have to run over to help Jill anytime things get a little tricky. Editing to add: She also could be staying with Joe and Kendra to babysit Garrett during the birth.

Wanting babies? More like having babies. These women are going to get pregnant whether they want to or not (unless they're infertile). Young, fertile people are getting pregnant right away whether they want to or not. A lot of the women's enthusiasm imo is their acceptance of the situation that this is going to happen regardless of what they want. And since they have show on television, they have added incentive to make this lifestyle seem like a blessing and not a burden. I agree the young men seem to believe in fairy tales if they think they can have unprotected sex and not have loads of children.
