  1. Agree with all of this. I also think that the money would make a difference now (although it does stretch credulity), but it just seems that at the time of Nadia’s framing, none of that had been solidified. She couldn’t know they’d become Bill & Melinda Gates. She just sort of went along with whatever people told her. Like “don’t call the police.” Which I mean really came back to bite her in the ass, clever as she thought she had been.
  2. Now I’M confused because I didn’t think Nadia needed a key to access the room where the cage was. Are we sure about that? It was ludicrous that it was so easily accessible, but building the cage itself is equally implausible. Multiple huge, solid pieces going in and out of a tube station & nobody notices. As so many have mentioned, too many people know about Joe for any of this to make a bit of sense. Now that he’s a billionaire, I can see him being too powerful to easily take down, but in the very moment Nadia was arrested, Joe still has nothing and no cleverly-orchestrated cover story. There’s a serial killer on the loose, he’s been living a lie with a fake identity, and his new circle of friends are being offed at an alarming rate. Not to mention the multiple living witnesses. He’s totally vulnerable. If someone I care about were murdered and I was about to take the fall for it, no way I’d think “what’s the use?” Sure, she looks guilty at the scene, but she’d have an attorney at some point. They’ll just overlook her sketchy fake professor with the stolen credentials? The same guy with the dead wife in a famous murder-suicide? He’s more reliable than this meek college student? Nah. The show relies on every character reacting the opposite way a real person would act, and while I know you have to take some license to make this work, this was the dumbest resolution.
  3. This has taken a disappointing turn, and P1 & P2 feel like different shows. My daughter & I called Rhys being a delusion almost immediately because Sixth Sense and Fight Club showed us how that’s done, so luckily that didn’t drag out, but the caged Marianne plot is so clunky. Of course it defies all logic that she would tell Nadia to keep it to herself (and that Nadia would even consider that), but I can’t get over how Joe built yet another of the exact same complicated cages and left it in a tunnel that anyone can access. Nobody in London wanders below the streets? It’s just open, a shelter with electricity, and no one off the street ventures down there? I wanted to think that was imaginary too. Why not have her locked in a regular room somewhere? I also feel like Marianne wasn’t really at risk of losing her child because she has a really good explanation. Like…the best one.
  4. Those kinds of things just didn’t happen until we all got cell phones. Just sayin. 😜
  5. Lol at the phone trauma reveal. Don’t even show this girl a phone - SHE’LL NEVER HAVE ONE! She wound up in foster care…because of a phone. It was the phone! Don’t you understand? 🙄
  6. You’re right. I guess what I was saying is when you jump from 2023 to the past, you never go to a time earlier than your last jump. Time progresses forward. So Alice never winds up in 1998, for instance, but she did advance a bit to 2000. And when you jump from the past, you wind up in 2023, right where you left it. This is just what we’ve been shown from the mother/daughter. So if it’s like a direct portal or tunnel from one time to another, Jacob would be in 2023 now…or soon. The only really wonky thing is that there’s a gap in the past (Alice goes months between visits when it’s only been days) but not the future. When she returns to the present, she’s been gone for the exact amount of days she was traveling. I feel like that has some purpose. OR…it’s all just magic hand waving and Del’s a witch from the 17th century and Jacob’s in Narnia 😜
  7. I’m really not smart enough to ever wrap my head around time travel plots, so please correct my logic, but here goes: Time seems to progress on a basically linear path in this alternate timeline. When you jump in the pond in 2023, you’re always transported to 1999/2000 (or at a time a little later than your most recent visit). But when you jump in the pond in 99/00, you wind up exactly where we are in 2023. So if Jacob entered the pond in 1999, he should appear as a child - exactly as he was - in the present day, correct? So we’d be looking for a kid to appear about exactly where the story is in 2023. And if he were to then be encouraged to jump back in, he would be able to relive his life with his family, as though he’d only been missing a few months? I’m confused, but that seems right.
  8. I’m reading these responses, and I’m SO SAD that the ending was what I thought it was. I was sure I’d misheard the name at the sentencing. It was like the show got a whole new writing staff for this episode. First they take away Margaret’s power, when I was under the impression she was already a named partner or at least the most valuable attorney in the practice. Then the elaborate plot machinations for Todd that have to be perfectly set traps with some kind of psychic-level awareness of how it would play out. And they could have been explained anyway. Are they telling us that criminals sign ironclad documents that they’re part of a criminal enterprise? That’s ridiculous. Then they have Margaret buy into a game in an illegal gambling ring…which could get her disbarred (or killed), and I can’t imagine her agreeing to. And finally the asinine switch, and there is zero justification for how that could possibly work. Now they could have had patsy-girl take the fall, but serve in V’s place? What the hell? And this was my favorite silly show, too. Writers, do you read these fan sites? Because booooooo. Hiss.
  9. Feels a little creepy asking this, but I just tuned in again this season…and Teresa seems to have more money than she did before prison. Didn’t she have to pay an enormous restitution? Is the same thing going to happen all over again? I get that she’s on a successful franchise, but her husband seems to be unemployed (am I wrong? Maybe?) and everything is over the top lavish.
  10. I don’t have a clue what’s happening in this show, but I’m still here watching - or half-watching, I guess, because I’m obviously missing entire chunks of the storylines. It feels like it’s not really a mystery because you can’t possibly guess anything. This complex has everything - vendettas, shady criminal pasts, murder, ghosts. We’ve possibly dropped the ghosts. I don’t even know. Did the people beating the man (no idea who they are) not see Elena? I thought they looked at her just as her creepy boyfriend dragged her away. Was he just there? Did they explain that? And how is Elena connected to Roman? I thought they met at work, but now they’re in it together? Maybe I missed a whole episode 🫤 Also, that was the lamest ball ever. There were about 30 people there. How did those nannies expect to just blend. Especially nanny friend with the name I can’t be bothered to remember who’s always worried about her job but looked exactly like her own self at this masquerade - hair and all.
  11. I thought you meant the stuffed dog at first and was confused 😂 I think that makes sense…the dog from the present time, Del’s dog? That would also explain why the stuffed animal dog figures so prominently in the story. Like a little clue. I’m certain Jacob will reappear, if only because it’s Hallmark. I think it’s kind of interesting that time still moves in a linear way when you go through the portal…like Alice keeps ending up a few days/weeks after the last time she traveled and never earlier.
  12. Liking this show more than I expected to! I try not to overthink the time travel logic, but the frequent mentions of “I was always here” leads me to believe that Kat or Alice inadvertently played a role in Jacob’s disappearance. He follows one from the house back out to the pond and gets lost in another timeline? So if they hadn’t been there, he wouldn’t have gone missing? Is that what we’re thinking? He seemed to be totally indifferent to Kat, so I’m not sure why he would follow, but he goes missing within minutes of being dropped off, and she goes directly to the pond.
  13. That’s part of why she seems sociopathic to me. She’s not into it, but she’s just very casual about it. If she’s threatened, or it makes sense, she kills. Friend’s suffering from being the caretaker to her dying husband. Kill him. I thought she was lying about the first accidental poisoning, but I could be wrong there. I also thought it was really telling that she would lay all that on Ginny, telling her that she’d killed two men, gloat about how she felt better afterward, and never noticed that Ginny (who is depressed and self-harms) was suffering from the knowledge. Idk…I know she’s supposed to be likeable, but I just can’t. I see where people do. I’m not usually such a moralizer about tv characters, but this one gets under my skin.
  14. The reasons we’re supposed to be rooting for Georgia (I suppose that’s the intent), who’s a whole sociopath, are really flawed. None of her admittedly terrible situations warranted murder. Yes to divorce and charges filed. The most bizarre plot point is the well-educated, successful, supportive family on Zion’s side that repeatedly offered help. It sort of negates the hard-scrabble background story. And I get that they wanted custody of Ginny…but wouldn’t anyone in that situation? The child was in danger. And Georgia’s now so chill about murdering, it doesn’t bother her at all to smother a man to death in his family home mere seconds after his wife shares that his last days are becoming a burden. The cliffhanger for me is a little less exciting bc I’d love for Georgia to get a jail sentence. I know she’s supposed to be sympathetic. Can’t stand her.
  15. Admittedly, I don’t pay super close attention to this show, but I didn’t see a burning, unrequited love between Emily/Gabriel…more like awkwardness, as it usually is with an ex. And then everyone is just kind of resigned to the fact that those two are meant to be? Bad writing or bad acting/chemistry? It was clear they were headed there in the last episode, but I thought in previous eps, the respective romances with Camille & Alfie seemed genuine.
  16. I know Tanya was a dim bulb, but I kept thinking she might offer to fund a restoration and propose a partnership as a last-ditch effort to save herself. Like something that might appear to them to be a plausible, alternate way of taking advantage of her besides murdering her. If the coke-fueled party, opera & orchestrated sex with the hitman wasn’t part of a larger plan, it must have been a little bit based in guilt - their idea of a perfect evening before they off her - which would make me think they might be open to other avenues to get ahold of her money. If she had suggested meeting in the morning to open an account for them so they can fund the arts or something, would that have bought her some time? ETA: I wouldn’t have expected Portia to do anything other that what she did in the end. I’d assume I couldn’t exactly call 9-1-1 on the mafia in Sicily, and she was justifiably worried about her own safety. It was bizarre and gross how casually she got past the murder of her boss, though, considering how anxious she had been to warn her. She had to have known the body was Tanya’s…how many yachts would be docked near the hotel? And the delivery of “she’s not exactly answering her phone” was a tell.
  17. I binged this in two days, so I’ve had less time to process, but there are a couple of popular opinions that I can’t connect with. I don’t see that Ethan isn’t attracted to his wife. They seem like they’re having a rocky transition to selling the company/finding themselves rich, etc., and that’s taking its toll. Plus he’s now trapped with someone who ups his insecurities exponentially. Entirely possibly that I’m wrong and Ethan is in love with Cam or something, but the writing isn’t selling me that the marriage is totally dead. And I can’t see Albie’s misogyny at all. Seems like he’s just trying extra hard to be the opposite of his father. I can’t really find fault with him…which is why I’m convinced he’ll take a turn and go super dark in the next episode. Because White cannot write a decent person. I’m betting on him murdering either Portia or Lucia.
  18. I think they were likely in shock, but probably not worried about inaction. My grandfather was a train engineer and had hit people. It’s devastating for them. It takes a full mile after pulling the emergency brake to stop, so they say if you can see someone on the tracks, it’s already too late. No one said she was lying on the tracks, so I would assume suicide or terrible accident, but not murder. Like others have said, this one wasn’t necessarily mysterious. Whatever was happening in her life warranted more consideration.
  19. Taylor isn’t like other girls (whores). She has a heart of gold, and she SEES Shep. And then he treats her like the whore who stuck around the longest? This is really a standard savior complex mixed with - I’m gonna say it - some serious self-righteousness. Everyone (else) who’s been mixed up with Shep is a filthy slut. Except they’re also all victims that he’s “masturbating to.” Either way, not the best view of women who decide to hook up with Shep, even though her own relationship must have started in a similar way. She’s so angry that she didn’t win this risky game that she’s lost all decorum on national television. Y’all, she said “nut-off.” I do sympathize to an extent because there was a time I might have reacted that exact same way. I had my own Shep, and it’s very intoxicating to think you’re so pretty or so special you can make a bad man into a decent partner. Men who don’t value commitment or honor or monogamy will love you and still lie to you. And, hard pill to swallow, but nobody is that special. And BTW I hate Shep - I think he’s repulsive. He’s a thousand times worse.
  20. If I’m not mistaken, he said he entered a program that was designed to bring Black males into leadership positions in schools. I remember being confused about the whole thing because I’m also a teacher, and in my state, we don’t get a degree to become a principal without first having worked as a teacher for a requisite amount of years (my state is 4). I thought maybe that initiative was a loophole and also why he wasn’t excited about being an educator. They’re very different roles with very different pay scales. But idk.
  21. Yes! I can dislike someone and still praise their business acumen, but this company is just a propped-up cross promotion. There’s no sewing, really, like nothing custom. It’s all mass-produced, screen-printed pillows - the pillows you’d find at any discount home goods store. It’s a parody of himself, but he’s bought into it and now sees himself as a captain of industry or something. The show is heavily featured on the SDS website (one pillow described as “sew CHARMING.”) There is no store without the show, but I guess I’m sorta impressed there are enough fans to keep it afloat.
  22. I would think the Naomie drama was manufactured, except I think she really is that awful. If I were in that situation, I’d just sit my ass down at a table with my friend and my drink and get on with it - like I have for every wedding or event I’ve been unhappily obligated to attend. Wouldn’t anyone? She was mad because she wasn’t getting main cast seating. Similarly, I think she resents Venita just because she’s featured on the show. I see that all the time on these franchises. It’s like the friend doesn’t know “their place,” and stole the spotlight. But Venita has been dragged through the mud…they make her look absolutely pathetic. She’s not my favorite, but she doesn’t deserve this edit. Sorry to say Taylor also seems like a damn fool. There’s not a single person on this show I could stomach for 5 minutes in real life.
  23. I assume in SC it is a crime to be publicly intoxicated and fighting, even in a bar. I’m not an attorney, but I can lose my professional license for being drunk and sloppy on camera - including being posted on social media. We get talks from legal about rules of professional conduct every year. Behind closed doors would be different. This is all moot, of course, because who in the world is hiring Craig to represent them? Probably terrible for me to say, but he appears to have substance issues. I never see him casually enjoying a drink. When he’s not drunk, he’s bloated and sweaty and lethargic. I don’t think he’s headed in a great direction. I know…same for Shep, but he has zero responsibilities. Austen seems like he can hold his own.
  24. Naomie now wears shiny pleather pants exclusively. Don’t even come near her with a breathable fabric because this is her storyline. She needs to be literally dipped in latex at every occasion - cooking dinner, a weekend hang, a date night out. And Shep’s cousin came in to do a few squats. Who is editing this? It has to be the worst season of any Bravo franchise. How did we get this far in without anyone mentioning Taylor’s strong faith? I hate to think they’d ask her to play that up for the show, but I have never heard her allude to her religious beliefs at all, and now it’s this potential issue for Shep. How in the world did she wind up with him?
