  1. But Thanksgiving is a commemoration of the Native Americans and pilgrims working together and having a feast. That's the whole thing. It's not a celebration of European settlers alone. If he were offended about colonization in general, he shouldn't fry up a huge turkey and participate. This was just typical Craig - shaming everyone else by acting superior and smug, and sounding drunk while doing it. Classic asshole Craig. (I don't like Craig 🙃)
  2. I’m kind of gross for this, but as nasty as Shep was (and is…he’s a self-loathing drunken slob), I also hated Naomie’s talk with Taylor. Just because I hate the “don’t you realize he’s abusive toward you?” talks on camera. It’s pretend concern & it throws the poor woman for a loop. I do realize that’s the point of a reality show - to make drama for public consumption - but it is exploitation. And then it looks like orchestrated tears, and it’s just all so icky. Shep is super damaged. I think he DOES know that he’s a loser with nothing of value in his life. Which is why he clings to his family money and his social snobbery with his leg shaking a mile a minute and a constant drink in his hand. He’s heading nowhere. Craig ALSO seems like a perpetual drunk loser. And good for him on his pillow business, I guess, but I’m team Naomie on this one (I know…sorry, not sorry). When they were together, she was working, and he was sewing squares from fabric he bought at fabric store chains. He failed up, it seems, with help from this show. I don’t like her, but just because he made something of himself doesn’t mean she wasn’t justified at the time for resenting his lazy hobbies IMO. Remember old Craig? Lying about the bar exam and sleeping til the late afternoon. Making half a pillow for Kam’s baby shower?
  3. Ha! Time moves differently in VR! It didn’t even surprise anyone that Jack could knock up his occasional girlfriend and the new-to-town grieving widow in the span of 3 months either 😉. And Mel got that drive-thru fertility treatment on, like, a Friday afternoon and a REAL quick & effective paternity test too.
  4. To be fair, he hasn’t caught on because he’s only known her 5 months. They are so BUSY in Virgin River! Think twice before you vacation there…you may wind up engaged, pregnant, kidnapped and recovering from a major accident over the long weekend 😜
  5. Okay, so even a FLW non-fanatic like me can appreciate those pics in the link, but what we saw looked…kind of dirty? They could have showcased the beautiful grounds a little better instead of the time spent sitting in the van, texting Katherine to find out she’s not coming. That was cool. This show 🙄 What in the world goes into the deleted scenes/extra footage episodes? I imagine dead silence.
  6. Yes!!! WTF w Mouse?! How did that even begin? Are there chat rooms for this? Those moms are too afraid for her to even leave the house at Halloween, but they handwave that whole enterprise. Are we sure he’s not a serial killer? And I forgot to mention this show’s obsession with secret twins. It would have been smarter (well…soapy & stupid, but a better twist, and at least a bookend to the pregnancy storyline) to have made the killer Angela’s secret baby who’s now a teenager. We knew she had been attacked and was tormented, but there were zero clues to a sibling. Lazy and infuriating and dumb.
  7. Here I am - a person who thinks she has a little style - and yet I always think FLW houses are the worst. I was just thinking about how boring the whole season has been, and now their season trip is to an ugly, lizard-infested house. Come at me…I’m sure I’m wrong, but I just can’t get into it 😆 I never get a closeted vibe from Whitney. He seems like every filthy rich mama’s boy I’ve ever known. I do get a thirsty vibe from Naomie, and I also think the hook-up is fake. So who is watchable on this show? I like Pringle, but he was tossed. I’ve been more entertained listening to random conversations at the airport than I have by Katherine’s clips this season. This has to be the last installment, right? We had an episode where someone moved and ate chicken salad. We watched a dog wedding, and it wasn’t even a ridiculously opulent dog wedding lol. We watched someone make a phone call to her mom and order a crib.
  8. I figured Shirley MacLaine was Rose from the beginning, but it didn’t really matter, did it? She never showed up again, and there was no payoff to that mystery. It was only going to make sense if she had been the one calling Bunny for the painting & therefore had something to do with her death. Like maybe there are two separate crimes? But they’re not making her feel like a killer, so…who knows. Did Cinda stage a murder to “solve” and win a Peabody & that’s the extent of their crime? Surely there’s more?
  9. The true horror is that another child predator is adopting that doomed baby. Here I thought they were trying to undo the atrocious Aria/Ezra romance when the power imbalance with with film student/theater manager was highlighted…but no. Student/teacher love story prevails. this series was a pile of shit. Attempted feminist take on horror that failed on all counts. Not even getting into the trauma Davie inflicted on her own daughter. Bad female archetypes abound AND a fairytale ending for an abusive Ezra, living his best life.
  10. I read this a lot, and I’m legitimately confused by it. They are showing us nothing to make me think she loves anyone or anything. Maybe power. Sociopaths are likeable, I suppose, because that’s how they’re effective. Sheryl’s a murderer, a manipulator, a liar, and an abuser. She is literally demonic. The line hasn’t been crossed with torture? Or bringing her grandchild to an actual beast? Even serial killers show “love” to people they’re using. They have families.
  11. I really thought it was going to end with Lexis revealing in some way that she had seen the “manager.” I think they’re being clever with Dr. Boggs & showing how a skeptical/academic-minded person can get in over their heads. It’s like he has an intellectual arrogance about what he’s playing with, not like he realizes he’s essentially selling his soul. If that makes sense? Kind of like last week’s events at the compound.
  12. Although that was a twist in the original PLL too. I think we are supposed to suspect the twin switch bc they baited us with it all along, so for that reason, I’m ruling it out. But idk…this series was always a shitshow.
  13. I did the SAME THING! I watched back-to-back, and I had never heard of that game before today. So weird. I wonder if they have writers in common because that's such a bizarre coincidence. I liked Dr. Bogg's turn to the dark side, and IMO it fits with what we know of his character. He was entirely disinterested in finding spiritual enlightenment and only wanted to turn a profit or gain status from his experience, so he's pretty ripe for the picking. I doubt Leland would even introduce him to the occult if he wasn't aware of how it would play out. I HATED the entire farm storyline. Zero answers to the possessed person of the week. And no way Ben is just staggering out bemused over his whole traumatic ordeal. I thought he seemed like he was already entranced at some point, because how was he putting all his skepticism aside to bang the hot science nerd who is also claiming to literally channel Christ in a cult that has already led to one person's demise? Why would he even entertain staying. I get the promise of sex is powerful, but...c'mon, Co-sign on the idea that the whole science group (is that their actual name? lol) is in on this. The woman running the app last week was also really sketchy, and I was expecting her to pop back up again. It seems like an awful lot of these organizations are manipulating the team's weak spots. And the Entity claiming to let Leland in to keep their enemy closer is also pretty confusing, considering the church was granting him access to Lexis and allowing his testimony to put Sister Andrea away. We want to keep an eye on him, so we're going to give him a huge amount of power to continue to groom your daughter.
  14. True! I can get behind the idea that she’s possessed or compromised (for lack of a better word) because she is quite different in recent seasons. If Lexis is some diabolical experiment, it would make sense to target her grandmother. I’m hoping for details with a Sheryl-centric episode! Just saying I can’t exactly root for her in her current state like she’s some warrior mother who’s not taking any shit from men. Sure she does some mundane favors to support her family; she’s also literally torturing/murdering people, working for demons, and performing ritual sacrifices for personal gain. And I notice no one is interested in making the same allowances for Leland, who could be in the same situation. But unlike Lahti, Emerson always plays people easy to hate ;)
  15. I also *love* how the girls are being written, but I don’t see any evidence that Sheryl loves her daughter. I mean beyond the way a sociopath loves someone, whatever that means to them. Like as an extension of themselves? She’s given Leland access to her daughter and grandchildren and has done something horrible to the person they love most. And she’s lying to them. I see that as abuse. I do like watching her character, though, because I think she’s the most interesting.
  16. I gotta say…it’s a testament to Christine Lahti’s likeability that people try to understand Sheryl’s motivations or excuse her! I mean this legitimately- I’m not hating on Sheryl fans -but imo the woman is as bad as (if not worse than) Leland. Leland is just no good at manipulating anyone, not even children. I wish there were a better explanation for Kristen’s employment with the church. She is gaslit and abused by the priests, with the defense of Leland being particularly egregious, and she said in a recent episode she makes 60k a year?! I’m a public schoolteacher and outearn this cash-strapped doctor. Is there a reason she’s not working for a hospital or in private practice, and I’ve forgotten?
  17. I was thinking the same, that the appearance of the angels shouldn’t negate the authenticity of his visions. And it rings true that people would experience visions that they connect to personally. I mean David is a an academic and sees illustrations. I cannot wrap my head around Kristen or Sheryl. It’s like every day is a reset. Both are constantly involved really profound supernatural experiences, with Sheryl occasionally acting as bad as (if not worse than) Leland, then they act so astonished when confronted with something illogical. Maybe that’s the point - that they both repress what they don’t want to see? I get that seeing an actual beast would be a doozy for Sheryl, but the woman was involved in bloodletting, making sacrifices to a doll & worshipping a shrunken head or something. I wish we’d get some loose ends tied up. Is anything happening with the fertility center? Does Lexis have that tail? 😜
  18. I still think Shirley MacLaine’s character is Rose (not necessarily the killer). When she was talking to Charles about having an affair with his father, he said something along the lines of, “you AND Rose?” She said yes, kind of fumbled and said she didn’t “do well this time of day,” which made me think she had confused herself & was covering. She also spoke of Rose too personally, mentioning that some women have to run away & artists only get noticed after they disappear/die. I think she was calling Bunny about the painting. If she is impersonating Big Bunny, I assume she’s also a misdirect for the murder.
  19. I respect & understand where you’re coming from, but (in my opinion) taking a sledgehammer to the framework, and making sure your daughters watch, appears unhinged. It seems like something you might cheer for in theory, but realistically my daughters would be terrified if I did that. I do react to people belittling me, but I use words. Kristin sometimes gives into her violent nature. When I first watched, I thought this was a scene telling us that she’s still fighting a metaphorical or literal darkness, especially considering the impetus for her actions grew from a conversation with her psychotic mother. I think it’s interesting how varied reactions are to different scenes. Real-world tensions are so high, I wonder if it wasn’t more cathartic than intended when it was written.
  20. Isn’t it because she knows the cardinal is associating with a demon? Or did that come to light after the investigation? I’m not clear on how Leland has any sway anymore, unless it’s due to some demonic interference…I don’t even think I know his day job. What happened to his practice?
  21. Judging by the reactions here, I guess we’re supposed to be supportive of Kristen, but it’s not resonating with me. She’s kind of…all over the place? And while her anger is always justified, her reactions are disproportionate. Don’t get me wrong - I wanted her to rip the contractor a new asshole and everything - but I was just not expecting a sledgehammer to the framing. I also thought the empowerment lesson from her mom was off (as would be any advice from her mom). “You broke a lot of hearts, but you never had your heart broken.” This is the goal for our daughters? Anyway, I know this is just a show, I’m just not getting the message lol
  22. I’ll change the wording! It’s not a spoiler…people were mentioning wanting Schumer to die next & that was just my wishful alternative 😉
  23. That makes sense, but she would have to have been in assisted living for 30+ years for none of the longtime tenants to know of her existence, right? Maybe it’s just another way for them to handwave stunt casting - but no complaints from me when it’s Shirley MacLaine!
  24. Agreed! I thought it was sad when Mabel said something like they’re both waiting for the “just friends” text. Oscar & Mabel’s (very recent, show time-wise) relationship had so much backstory and seemed sweet and honest to me. It wasn’t a random hookup; the whole thing was integral to the plot. I also hope it was the actor’s choice to move on. No way is Big Bunny the real deal. Such disinterest in her daughter’s death and full focus on retrieving the painting? I suspect she may be Rose, but I definitely think the woman in the painting is the real Big Bunny. I am not a fan of Amy Schumer, but y’all were making me feel bad for her! I’m glad she has at least one fan speaking up for her on this forum 😆 I actually dislike Rapaport in everything, and I’m hoping he might be knocked off early.
  25. Not totally sure, but I think their (presumed) tenderness was causing them demonic trouble. That consummation went a little beyond ordinary kink. The demon joined them for that threesome when the slap drew blood, and she held an actual kitchen knife to his throat. It seems like they never even publicly kissed until David married them, so moving from virginal awkwardness to rape fetish is a pretty big leap.
