  1. I didn't even consider that the wesen FBI Agent could be coming for Trubel until it was mentioned here, because the agent was established as a "good" character. Trubel was acting sketchy during the phone call and when asked about Josh, so I guess there could more to that story. I'll never believe that Juliette's dead, though. I've seen enough bad TV, and I've even seen actors and show runners walk back confirmed deaths. If anything, I agree that the arrow may have been poisoned with something that will reverse the curse. Oh, one more thing: how can they sub Kenneth for Renard when there is a living eyewitness? I get that she only gave a height/weight/accent description, but did they say she didn't see a face at all? (I'm ignoring the other evidence that would make the switch impossible in the real world.)
  2. Penn State IS a good school, but University of Pennsylvania is Ivy League.
  3. Carole's trolling, y'all. I think she's intentionally provocative in her talking heads to get people into a tizzy, because it goes along with her bohemian, free-spirited, who cares what people think of me/I'm just doing this for kicks schtick. I can't get worked up about any of them because really they're all kind of sad and seeking validation, they just package it differently.
  4. I was actually thinking it's kind of odd that they did focus on his dance background in his intro (his Glee role) while downplaying the fact that he's in a hugely popular band (at least with my daughter's tween set). Seems like the dance acknowledgment would hurt him and the association with R5 would only help?
  5. Juliette is irredeemable. The writers presented a clear parallel with Renard in this episode - he was truly possessed with no control over his actions and cannot be responsible for the events that occurred. If they wanted an exit strategy for Juliette, they would have gone the same route. She was clearly thinking out the consequences as the plan was unfolding and made the decision to continue. I completely agree that the conscience she showed made her actions WORSE. She said "Thank God," when she saw that Diana was unharmed, so maybe the writers are planting the seeds that she hasn't fallen too far... but that's a huge fail. She can't come back from this, and if she gets a redemption arc, I think the viewers will turn on the show. Well, I will. She's gotta go.
  6. Adalind spent an entire season performing the most repulsive rituals to get her power back, then voluntarily gives it up to "test" a potion. Leaving her defenseless against the woman trying to kill her. Doesn't seem like her reasons for trying it out we're really valid...if it doesn't work on Juliette, they'll know; if it didn't work on Adalind, they're back where they started. So this looks, to me, like a contrivance to pair nice Adalind with Nick.
  7. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I can't see an adult taking a kid into the woods and bludgeoning him with a flashlight as a premeditated act. Its much easier for me to believe a kid would do that...in an argument, maybe not meaning to kill him. I'm going with the youngest daughter.
  8. I imagine the only emotion I would feel would be extreme relief. I assume it's different for a police officer who has to shoot someone in the line of duty or something...but no regrets about killing someone holding a gun to my child.
  9. About the mugging...I just assumed whatever's going on with Juliette transferred to Renard when they were together. Seems like they're both having a hard time controlling their base instincts, and the show inserted the flashback scene of the two of them (in case we all forgot). I hope we were supposed to be focusing on the wallet for some other reason I missed.
  10. Oh, gotcha, but I meant is she also another character on the show that we may have met?
  11. Oh, I loathe Snow. Is that an UO? It has nothing to do with anything she's done, really, and I certainly don't think anyone needs to be perfect to be a hero. But does every line out of her mouth have to be so sanctimonious and preachy? It dehumanizes her for me - her happy mode is sugar sweet; unhappy is self-righteous. I was actually forwarding through her scenes so I didn't have to watch them. Also...I think I kind of hate them both for the egg business. Because all of us do have children with the potential to be basically good or bad people - that's the whole concept of free will - and we just do our best to raise decent people. The desperation to ensure that their child is made of pure goodness seemed bizarre. Like I said, though, I rushed their scenes and maybe missed something ;) And do we know who Lily is on the show? Is it Tiger Lily?
  12. I don't think Charles is A, you guys. The same way I never bought for a second that Mona was dead. This show has confirmed and retracted the reveal for every single finale. As far as I can tell, Charles (if we're assuming he's the guy in the mask) could very well be another person forced to live in that house. I think the show is trolling - the storyline is fluid and is written with no definite end game, and the writers know their core audience is more interested in fantasy than continuity or logic. So watch me take back my words and try to make sense of it, anyway ;) If Charles is A AND Jason's twin...and we go with the theory that he's been locked up...that's a pretty elaborate and expensive set up for an unemployed and severely mentally ill person. And I also can't buy that Andrew and Charles are the same person, because surely he wouldn't be enrolled at the local high school and dropping by Spencer's/his half-sibling's house with no concern for who might recognize him. I still want it to be Ezra, who is the only person who would make sense, but I give up on that.
  13. Ezra thinks 16-year olds are children who can't be expected to make rational decisions. 16 yo children he's stalking and sleeping with are excepted, naturally. I'm way outside the target demographic for this show, so I think I read too much into the scenes, but Ezra still reads menacing to me. I can't help thinking he's supposed to be suspicious...or the actor just makes some odd choices. And were the rest of the girls really booked, or was that some weird fantasy sequence? Again, reading too much into the scenes, but that's not how prosecutions work. Ali is guilty, round up the others.
  14. I am so confused by this trial. I can ignore that it's happening at warp speed and that Hanna is somehow already in actual prison with no apparent hearing...but wouldn't the prosecution have to present some kind of theory re:how it went down? It seems like they're trying two people for the same crime when the (flimsy) evidence could support either girl acting independently. If they are standing behind Hanna's blood on Mona's clothes, which would be stronger evidence if it weren't so obviously tampered with, then why would Alison's conviction have any bearing on Hanna? Am I overthinking this? It seems like the show is telling us that if Ali gets off, Hanna does, too. And that's why the lawyer was implying that Ashley was trying to influence Jason...but if he recanted, wouldn't that just work against her & make it look like Hanna acted alone? Somebody feel free to set me straight!
  15. So it's Ezra keeping Aria out of college, right? The only school she got into was the one he thought (and stated) she could forget about because of Jackie. Plus, it plays right into that whole creepy " I manipulate you because I have your best interests at heart" schtick that Ezra does, and which the younger viewers eat up like it's romance. You know, like how he had everyone under constant surveillance to...protect them.
  16. I never assumed she was dead; I just thought the mom is the negative voice in Louise's head, and Louise hallucinates her presence when she's falling apart. I've seen enough Lifetime movies to recognize the trope ;) I'm certain that mom and/or Lyman murdered the dad and Lou's part of the cover-up.
  17. You may very well be right. I just think the producers are intentionally deceptive, especially in the A tags, which are generally shown for the audience's benefit. One of the only truly consistent things they've done on this show is emphasize twins, dolls and masks. So I guess that's why it seems likely that they'll bring her back. I would not apply this logic to any other show ;)
  18. Oh, I know...and I'm one of those people! I like the show, but it's not exactly known for its consistency. The showrunners constantly backtrack with these weird, hackneyed explanations, and I roll with it. So if I can buy into a hyper-reality state, and the multiple "A" revelations that weren't (remember when Ezra was A, and the show put a hashtag on it?!), I can buy Mona being passed out or otherwise pretending to be dead in that trunk to pull off the faked death.
  19. Brilliant point! I think Mona’s definitely alive, but I forgot about that fainting spell. Really dumb question: wasn’t Aria’s attacker holding Mike’s ringing phone? With all the overcomplicated twists the show tries and usually fails to pull off, it would be kind of amazing to put something so obvious out there…no one would suspect it would be Mike holding Mike’s phone ;)
  20. I guess we're supposed to take David's word for it, re: the arms dealing, torture and murder, but we did see him kill the police chief. But assuming Malcolm is as evil/vindictive as he's painted, wouldn't David assume they were all in danger the second he revealed he was alive on national television?
  21. I couldn't concentrate on most of the episode because I was wondering what happened to Freddie's girlfriend. Did I miss a wrap-up? Did she just take a quick shower and go home? Agree that the girls come back, obviously. Good initial shock, though!
  22. I am second-hand mortified for these people and just ff'd my way through that mess. Rino in a sock with the "prostrate" scare; the Gorga castle that they guess will do for now, I mean, until something more suitable comes along; Amber in her ashes, crying and educating us about the lentil season. Is she faking a cancer scare?? What is WRONG with her? I just can't buy an oncologist delivering results to a camera. But I did get to bid a tearful farewell to a stranger, I think. I was ff'ing that scene, too. BOO. This is my guilty pleasure that I don't admit to watching! It has to be better than this!
  23. I think sleeping with a dirty cop to prevent your daughter from getting a misdemeanor *and* involving your daughter in your criminal enterprises (stealing money from an old lady's safe-deposit box) = pretty bad mom. But everyone seems to think that Ashley is the best one. ETA: I like her as a character. I'd like to hang out with her, and drink her wine, and hear all about that minister that the show forgot. But Pam Fields is hands-down the only good mom.
  24. The whole press conference lead-in was so bizarre, what with naming a murdered minor without a body or any linking evidence (and in front of the kid's mother!), that I was shocked to see they actually went there with Mona in the trunk. Even so, I will never be convinced that she's dead. The showrunners have outright lied to the audience at every season finale, so this should be explained away with some totally laughable plot twist. Liiiike...Mona was given a paralytic agent? I just give up on real world rules applying to this show.
  25. So I always looked forward to the occasional Alison appearance, but now I think the character is best used sparingly. Before the Mona confrontation, I was half-hoping someone would actually kill her...or at least kidnap her again.
