On the topic of puffer jackets, I seem to remember a designer from last season(?) who specialized in puffer jackets because they reflected his urban background. That poor young man was called everything but a child of God. Yet Geoffrey bases his entire collection on puffer jackets and it's some sort of revelation in fashion? Please. And I thought this was a design competition, not a popularity contest.

VERY well said. Every close up of Geoffrey was his face turning bright red and him on the edge of tears. He made the final four on a show where way more talented designers didn't get the same chance. It also seems that he's had chance AFTER chance AFTER chance in his life. His story about how his father didn't support him was the most offensive because it was a flat out LIE. This show wasn't about fashion. It was about DRAMA!!!!!!!!! Someone mentioned that Nancy stole the 'woke' slot from Sergio and I agree. I don't remember Nancy saying word one about wanting her clothing to be 'inclusive'. At the beginning of the show all Nancy spoke about was NANCY, which is why she almost put Brittany into a coma (while the other contestants ran for their lives). Nancy must have seen that Sergio was getting a lot of attention and decided that she was going to try the same thing. Nancy wisely chose the differently-abled to draw attention to herself because who is going to criticize a model in a wheelchair. Unfortunately, she didn't back her bullshit up with good design. NONE of the four did.

I made myself watch the runway shows. What a sad season this was. The best received parts of Nancy's shows were the differently-abled models Nancy used who were fiercer than the clothes they were wearing. I think Nancy using these women to make her clothes look better actually bit her in the bit. Victoria's collection was incoherent. There was no through line. A few of her pieces like the pink suit dress and that gorgeous White dress were great but the rest was dreadful. Speaking of 'biting yourself in the butt', Sergio sure as shit did. I think his collection was the best but all the bullshit he's been shoveling for the whole season (and his 'borrowing') kept him from winning. The looks on Nina and Elaine's face made it clear that they didn't like Sergio and even if he had redefined fashion in the 21st century, there was NO FUCKING WAY they were going to let him win this thing. I thought Geoffrey's collection was 'interesting' but I don't know how wearable it was. That last puffiest puffer jacket made me laugh out loud. I guess I can understand why they picked Geoffrey but I think they're throwing away their money and their mentorship. I don't think Geoffrey has it in him to follow through. In the end he'll come up with some excuse, cry a lot and go back to making club kids clothes in latex.

Well, thank goodness I don't have to watch the rest of this now.

When Christian said to Sergio 'that sure is country' and Sergio responded 'so am I' was one of the very few times I actually liked Sergio.

These designers really have been more coddled and helped than any other designers. It just shows the producers realized that going for 'story' over ability can be a bad idea if your show is about clothing design.

People who were glorified extras a few seasons ago are now major characters. Some of them are interesting but, unfortunately, I DON'T KNOW THEIR NAMES. People were going on about 'Laura' getting' killed and I was wondering when 'Laura' was introduced. I don't remember her. Now that Gamma's joined the merry band, Earl's shirt is rapidly turning red. And I LIKE Earl. He's suffered a lot at the hands of the Whisperers and I don't see why he should be forced to even CONSIDER letting that beagle-face anywhere near HIS baby after she left it on the ground to be torn to pieces. That child doesn't even get a chance to speak much less be the symbol of the 'great love' between Michonne and Rick. I think it's a bit insulting that Judith gets shoved down our throats, but RJ barely gets a mention. Judith is a perfect example of 'nature vs nuture'. I KNOW Michonne taught her to listen when she's told to do something, especially in a battle. But she's Shane and Lori's daughter so she's going to fuck things up no matter what she's been told. As if fucking Carol wasn't bad enough, the second Zeke said 'where's Judith?', I knew he was dead.
