  1. I think Nicole's motivation was the (misguidedly delusional) hope that Sami would help facilitate a reunion for her and Brady, despite the fact that he was happily engaged to Chloe at the time.
  2. What a great thread, Oholibamah! I agree with many of your choices, though I have a few additions myself: Cycle 4 Brittany is my choice for this cycle. While I thought that many eliminations over the course of the series were ridiculously asinine, I think that this one takes the cake, as I secretly think it was done primarily to piss off Janice. Starting with the Zodiac shoot, she consistently took great photos, was tall, had a decent enough runway walk (if memory serves me correctly), and was entertaining both in panel and in confessionals. It's a shame that she seems to have gotten a fair amount of plastic surgery after the show, as I thought that she had such potential. Cycle 9 I would add Lisa as an honorable mention for getting robbed this cycle. She has had a successful post-show career, but even on the show, she seemed to be one of the most consistent and well-rounded models that I can recall. Cycle 10 While I think that Anya is a better model, Katarzyna was treated so shabbily that season that I had to give her a nod. She had one of the best walks in the show's history, which I feel is often forgotten about. Her Eastern European features are also to die for. Were you not a fan of Jaclyn from C16? I would lump her in the "grounded and a good model" category as well.
  3. I'm probably stretching here, but I believe that Tracy from the original Fans vs. Favorites season thought that her swapped tribe (consisting of Chet, Erik, Ami, Ozzy, Amanda, and Cirie) threw at least one of the immunity challenges to get rid of her. This wasn't seen on the show, but she had implied as much in post-show interviews. I've always wondered about that.
  4. I might be alone in thinking this, but Will reminds me a little of Chandler Massey, the actor who played Will on Days of Our lives from 2010 until 2013.
  5. I know I previously mentioned that I thought nuChad looked like both Casey Moss and Blake Berris, but I think he also sounds like Jay Kenneth Johnson, who played Phillip Kiriakis.
  6. I think NuChad looks like a cross between Blake Berris and Casey Moss.
  7. I could also make the case for early Chloe, late Chelsea, and Mimi as additional good female characters.
  8. Unless this is a quitter-themed season, I'm not sure why she'd brought back. Am I the only one who was thinking this?
  9. Kristen, though batshit, looks great in the promos!
  10. I think Sidney meant that Sami (not Kayla) is the nutcase and nearly forty.
  11. Stephanie/Max Stephanie/Jeremy Stephanie/Philip Stephanie/Nathan Melanie/Philip Chloe/Philip Chloe/Brady Chloe/Lucas Chloe/Daniel Chelsea/Nick Abigail/Chad Abigail/Cameron Nicole/Brady
  12. I'm not sure if I have jurisdiction to create a new thread, but if so, I thought I'd make one for the Gauntlet III. This was a pretty cringeworthy season, to say the least, but here are some highlights for me: Katie flipping out on CT when the "trim the fat" nonsense was initially brought up, Robin having a bit of a meltdown in the finale (which subsequently led to Kenny's "he's dying, she's crying"), Frank and Jillian winning after performing well throughout the season/in multiple gauntlets, Derek (Rookies team, was also on the Duel II) in general, a rather likeable Paula, and Katie's highlight reel during the Reunion Show. Now for the bad: The majority of the Veterans (minus Brad, Big Easy, Bananas, Adam, Katie, Coral, and Paula) AND the Rookies (minus Derek, Ryan, Frank, Jillian, and debatably Johanna), the shoddy treatment of Coral, Katie, and Beth (*gasp*), Casey lasting as long as she did, and the Austin cast composing 1/4 of the Rookies team (Johanna, Nehemiah, Melinda, Rachel). Had Big Easy not collapsed and been hospitalized, the Veterans would have obviously won, which in itself isn't surprising. In retrospect, what is surprising is that had that occured, Robin, Adam, Diem and Big Easy would have won a challenge. Feel free to post your thoughts about this season.
  13. I had heard that Kim (who was also on The Ruins) was finished with challenges, but is Paula retiring as well?
  14. If Johanna ever comes back, she and Wes stand a good chance at getting picked. Who would Darrell potentially be paired with? The only fling I remember him having was with Leah of RW Paris, but I think the Inferno was her one and only challenge.
  15. I'm officially sick of Theresa. While by no means a terrible competitor, I don't understand how people see her as one of the top-tier girls. The only elimination round she's ever won was against someone (Camilla, while normally solid) who was completely checked out by that point in the game. I found it odd that Theresa said something along the lines of "it's been such a long time since I've been stabbed in the back so royally" in an interview. How soon we forget Marlon and Jordan's vote for her and Jasmine in Rivals II! I also found it telling that when Devyn asked if it's possible for the two of them to be cool, Theresa could not give a straight answer and just hemmed and hawed. I would have liked to see Aneesa at the reunion, as I found Laurel's rivalry with her much more compelling than the one with Theresa. Jessica and CT barely spoke during the reunion. Cohutta had the most adorably crestfallen look on his face while he was watching the highlights of Nany's hookup with Portland Johnny. I admit that I was giggling during Devyn's story about being trapped at the bus station.
  16. Say what you will about Laurel in general, but I was SO happy that somebody finally brought up the incredibly shoddy treatment of Sam in Battle of the Seasons.
  17. 1) I actually liked Shelly Hall's version of Stephanie, and felt she got the shaft in terms of writing. 2) While I like Victor, he is a bit too sexist for me to fully love him. It seems like every young woman who isn't either meek, boring, or a relative (Chloe, Nicole, Theresa, possibly Sami) is an evil slut to him, whereas Dr. Pigpen gets a total pass for the number of partners he has had. I do, however get just as much of a kick as the next person at hearing the phrase "my idiot grandson." 3) If I close my eyes, I can't tell much difference between Tad and nuBen. Their voices sound very similar to me.
