I didn't mind Mark going after the lactation bar lady because he was right.... and I dislike the way the too many lactation 'experts' take things to the extreme, and this is just one more thing to tell a mom, you're not doing a good enough job feeding your baby, you have to buy this special bar and you'll finally make more milk... but when it doesn't work, because every woman is different and all the lactation cookies in the world aren't going to increase some women's supply, then what? Having claims that this bar will increase production without any fact behind it is wrong. There haven't been any good studies to prove that things like Fenu greek and other herbs actually help with milk supply, it's mostly anecdotal, and really if you look at the label on something like fenu greek that is recommended for helping with lactation, one of the warnings is to not use if pregnant or breast feeding.... Herbal anything can be a risk due to no regulation of supplements and ingredients, so I very much dislike this sort of woo bar. Don't get me wrong, I do think there are a lot of natural remedies out there that can be helpful, and most medicine is based on something herbal that has been tested and refined, but magic herbs that aren't regulated on top of all of the lactation pressure is a bad combo, IMO. I see too many mothers feel pressured and stressed and like a failure if they can't breast feed exactly the way the lactation specialist says they can (some le leche people are going as far as to say that pumped breast milk is not as good for baby as feeding directly from the breast... give me a f-ing break!) Clearly I'm biased base on my own personal experiences/ patient's experiences... but I always side eye these sort of products.

I think Marcy may be partially ret-con, but you could make a case that she has no connection to her real past, so when 001 tested out the machine on her ( which sounds like it digitizes your consciousness and can then be put into someone new- but for his tests he just put it back in the same body, but the machine wasn’t right so it put Marcy back wrong) it damaged her brain in a way that our century could only interpret as a congenital defect and she had no family or medical history to contradict that when she met David. As far as numbers go, I think it’s a little of both- when you travel, but also when you join the program. 001 was numbered that because he was the first to go back in time. Did they keep testing the transfer between future time bodies after that, or did Trevor start body hopping before 001? But they may have also come to a point where the AI figured numbers would be easier, and retroactively numbered the programmers etc, but new people get numerical in addition to specialty, sine there do seem to be numbers more specific to skill sets.
-
I don't think being put into a different gender would be that big of a deal in the grand scheme of time travel and new bodies etc. Like they try and match you up but if they can't, eh. Especially if it is more urgent. I wouldn't be surprised if Trevor has been both, in sure it's something they wanted to test before sending people back in time.

Sometimes they do a sneak peak of next week, that’s what those 10 minutes are.

The known faction people were all overwritten when the director came back online. Mac was about to shoot his faction FBI partner when he got all screamy and was suddenly a new traveler. The rest of the FBI was overwritten at that time.

I think the consciousness transfer into the psychiatrist was to free him from the director. The director thinks he’s been overwritten and the error is now corrected. Assuming the director has no knowledge that vincent built a conscious transferring device. I do do want to know what happened to Simon. They didn’t show us a new body he was going into, and have now moved the device, so ???? It will be interesting to see how the world responds to knowing about travelers, and why the director didn’t intervene. The personal relationships will really be interesting to see as well, though the normal people need it to sink in that the travelers took over people who are dead/ would have been dead. Cop guy would have killed her and needed to live with that, etc. Overall it it was a good season. Some unexpected twists, and something I couldn’t turn off! I hope there is another season, though I hate having to wait a year! One thing I disliked was that 01 was always steps ahead of them... would have been nice for one of their plans to work at least for a little while! It was interesting to find out that Marcy was normal before, I had assumed it was a lifelong mental disability, but I guess they didn’t go that far into her backstory in season 1. Vincent has been causing them trouble longer than we thought!

I don’t watch the other shows so I have no idea what is going on besides the obvious people at a wedding and bad guys show up. I’d rather just have a regular episode. Though the fight scene was pretty good, and I’m glad Alex got to let loose a little, she is dealing with a lot. Will probably try to catch the other episodes just in case major supergirl plot points happen again like last year ( mon el and Kara probably should have gotten back together on their own show instead of on the Flash last season)

I wonder who covers the malpractice for the doctors they contract with.. I mean, I know telemedicine is the direction we are heading, but I foresee a lot if missed diagnosis’s because you can’t actually see and examine the patient. Though i I suppose this could present an interesting opportunity for docs looking to make money but get out of the grind of clinics that have to see too many patients without enough staff or time to chart for a million hours.

The lab thing bothers me.... there is a lot more to diagnosing health issues than just lab work. I’d wonder about its reliability for one, and people that would use these tests and say, see I’m fine and not actually go to the doctor when they need to. I suppose it does help the problem of patients demanding useless tests, they can spend thier own money on it over the internet instead of being mad that the doctor said no to more labs. The std one is useful if it's negative, but you would need to see a doc to get treated and I’m sure they would repeat the test and not trust rando internet lab. Didnt care about the coconut water thing or the hater app... mush does not sound tasty... but I also sort of hate oatmeal so I guess it’s not for me.

Loved this episode. I liked the different pairings we had of the cast. It’s nice to have a show that changes things up that way. The strucker part part was definitely the most interesting part, all the family secrets! I wonder what Reed’s powers would have been... but maybe we’ll see after all. Sad to see the dad die so quickly, and Pulse. Was he played by Matt puddin’ pop from Vampire Diaries?? I didn’t recognize him until tonights episode! This show is bringing in some interesting mutants and changing up the story enough so it’s not just people on the run. Though I do agree that the cartel storyline can go away any time now.

Uh... I knew there would be conflict with Mon El, but I know this surprise wife thing has happened before on another series, probably several before, but I can’t think what show I’m thinking of... I’m curious how they ended up on earth way in the past and who the rest of the people are, so I guess it at least is sort of interesting. The reign stuff still isn’t my favorite, but the fortress thing was neat... though more likely to be discovered since it appears to be somewhere in a random US desert. I also laughed at the spaceship in the barn... seriously... hide that shit!

Why do we need men in STEM fields? Men are not inherently better at science/math based fields. STEM toys aren't meant to force all girls into stem fields but to let all children, regardless of gender have access to different areas of interest so they can do what they have aptitude for without gender stereotypes telling them they are the wrong gender to be a scientist or a nurse.

Overall, not mad at the finale. I’m not sure who I would have picked, but Kentarobwas a good choice. His is pieces were interesting but still nice to look at and he had some actual color. Really like Margarita’s collection, it was just so fun and happy. I liked the prints and glitter :) Brandon’s was so boring... and reminded me of straight jackets and baby bibs. Not interesting or exciting at all. Ayana’s collection was okay, I did like her final dress a lot, but the rest wasn’t overly memorable, though not as boring as Brandon.

Really enjoyed this episode and the whole season. Like many, the El/Hopper pairing was my favorite. She needed someone who actually cared about her and not just what she could do, and Hopper needed a reason to keep on living and get his shit together. It was a great choice for direction. The only thing I wish they did differently was naming her Elle or something on the new birth certificate instead of Jane. I know her mom named her Jane, but she was never Jane... Billy was the worst and I would have been fine with him dying... he was just annoying without much purpose. Bob really was a hero. I liked the way Bob just took everything in stride and was happy to help. The kids all did great this season, and it was nice to see Will with a bit more to do :)

I have thick hair that's still well past my shoulders after having 10 inches cut off a couple of weeks ago.. but it only takes me a few minutes to lather my hair, if that... even when it was waist length. But everyone is different, so it'd be unfair to say we are all doing it wrong by leaving the shower running while washing hair. At least that is a shower activity, flossing and brushing teeth etc can easily be done out of the shower. And why are they letting their floss go down the drain? Yuck! There are a lot of hair catching drain things out there, this one doesn't seem like it works any better... since they all work to different degrees.

S16.E12: There’s Snow Business like Sew Business
roctavia replied to Drogo's topic in Project Runway
So they all go.... what a shock! That's never ever happened before on PR! Kentaros was definitely the winner, and he at least made tall socks to keep the legs warm. Brandon's coat was neat and I think the first time since like week two that I could actually figure out how his outfit would put on. But... annoyed that he has only ever mad crop tops. Did we ever get a look at how the pants were constructed? I still feel like he does weird pants because he can't fit a normal crotch... Margarita was terrible today, boring outfit and too much whining. Ayana made an ok look, but not as good as some of her recent stuff. I liked Kenya's coat a lot, but the outfit underneath was just ok. -
Paternity clothes ended up stupid, not much of an innovation, and as others have said, it's a solution searching for a problem. Both episodes were kind of dull. I do think the pearachute idea has merit, but probably not something that would work well in smaller towns. Our activities are all through the rec department or places like the Y that already charge a lot. But it would be nice to just drop in random classes. Wasn't there a tub drain thing on shark tank? The tub mushroom thing? I see advertisements for it still... and I think they had the same pitch- lots of girls at home with long hair etc... and theirs was the one that would catch all the hair!!

Another episode that I really enjoyed. Like that the mutant escaped continued to work out okay and the crazy manhunt is off for at least a night. The only bad bad thing this episode was the medical stuff... I know it was an emergency and all, but she totally killed that guy... that's not how surgery works. But it's never right on tv... so I guess I can let it go. The stuff with blink a few episodes ago somehow made more medical sense.
-
Yes, I wish they would have just ended with Jack saying Castiel and the glowing eyes.... Void Cass can show up next week!
-
Ugh.... Brandon keeps making the same thing! Or if the outfits are different, not different enough to see on TV... Has he made a crop top every week??? I can see some of his outfits being interesting, but it's the sameness that bugs me. MAKE SOMETHING DIFFERENT! I know they need to be 'them' in their designs, but this is getting ridiculous. I hate those pants, it just makes me think that he can't tailor a female crotch so he just makes it baggy instead. They trying to act like Kentaro copied him was also annoying. I get that Brandon is their anointed one, but seriously. I think Kenya was robbed of that win. Her dress was gorgeous and fit perfect. It also had more detailing and work to it that made it not just a dress. I liked the color a lot too. Ayana's outfit was okay... something about it seemed almost clownish, though... Margarita's was a mess, though I wanted it to work. It was definitely Wonder Woman prom. I would have been fine without Tim using his save at all this season, but I get the feeling he has to use it now that they made it part of the rules... and really this is sort of the last week he has a chance to use it, since next week would have been the final 4 to choose the top three for fashion week... no way would they let Tim use his save at that level. But it's okay with me that he used it on Margarita, her stuff has been interesting and she at least tried to do something out of the box on this one.

This was another great episode. Things are moving without moving to fast, sure Reed and the family are still exactly where they were at the end of the first episode, but so much has changed. I like to see the learning and conflict for the parents as they expand beyond just being together as a family. Reed clearly just wanted to protect his family, to get them safe.... without thinking about everyone else... but of course he had his eyes opened wide and realized that this is much bigger than just him and his family. Caitlyn once again seeing how things are for mutants in the world was also a great way to show us the current climate for mutants instead of some exposition about how hard things are. Definitely Blink is going to be extra messed up thanks to her new memory... I do like Johnny and I think Marcos is growing on me. Lorna was pushing the limits of her collar, but nice to see that she can still use her powers without dying. I hope Fox isn't stupid (like always) and gives this show a good chance, it's entertaining and not just some police/crime/medical drama.

I actually like the format change, but mostly because it seems like they can get through more toys this way... and really, like shark tank, I care about the products and could not care less about the discussion/opinions on the toy. So I can watch this show in about 15 minutes, which is nice. I just like to see new products and new ideas, but some of this stuff is lame... or just a slight change to an existing toy- like the 'fortune teller" fidget spinners. The hugalope thing had some potential... there are already so many little cheap collectable things out there, that I don't think there is any competing with the big names doing shopkins and stuff like that, so the charm thing was meh. The water play set looked like fun, but also a pain to set up and maintain all of the pieces.
-
Thanks, I thought so... but she also looked vaguely familiar, but not? if that makes sense .... must be from something not once upon a time.

I like that they found a way to make hook not hook.... even if it makes no sense how old hook got out of the wish realm. I don't want that whole realm to be real.... but I can allow that old hook somehow managed to get out like robin did before the realm went poof... but I do hope this isn't a well they keep going back to when they want to bring in a new old character. It works once for Hook, but that's it. Leave the wish realm gone. Have we ever met the evil step mother before in previous seasons? In other realms/as a different character? I don't recognize her, but I don't always pay the most attention to this show.... Still not sure what to think of hyperion heights..... but it may also be that I'm not excited about a whole season of no one knowing who they are thanks to a curse... since we've been down that road many times before.

I wonder if the cheating had been mentioned earlier to some production members, but they were told that nothing would be done at this point, since they wanted to maximize drama... Or Margarita and Michael figured Claire and Shaun would get the boot early enough that they didn't care to 'tattle' figuring they'd get offed... but the for Claire to win and get money etc was the last straw. Though I do think there is more producer monkeying than anything in why things played out the way they did. But Claire was clearly cheating and deserved to get booted! She was so dismissive that she ONLY measured a tank and a crotch on a pair of pants... like that's not the point, it's against the rules no matter what you measured. And as others have said, if a tank is so simple... why the heck did you need to measure it??? I want to see more crazy for the avante garde challeng... I think Ayana's was perfect, and it was super shopkin-y (I have kids, our house is covered in shopkins). Michaels was all glitter penis, but the being re created in a doll makes sense why he one, a silver jumpsuit is easy. Amy and Batani deserved to be aufed, their designs were boring and didn't go far enough. I wish Kenya's peplum had been even more crazy... I was expecting a giant avante guard peplum and she could have taken it even farther. The other designs were okay... but could have pushed the limits a bit more.
