Always keep in the back of your mind, all the guys(& women) on the show do have a jobs....they're on a TV series and being paid. I seem to recall hearing Craig makes a few hundred thou for a few months work, - probably making better $$ than most newbie lawyers who didn't graduate from a prestigious law schooh ...and w/o the stress and long hrs. Also, look at the prices of designer pillows, it's can be very lucrative moneymaker. Pat is selling one of Craig's pillows--sans insert, for $59.00 @

One aspect of the show I did enjoy - you didn't feel the tension like you always did when she was w/Tarek. -
I wasn't too happy w/Swiss Miss and her attitude either

For a highend/upscale house - I don't think the price was out of line. About a decade back, my friend was starting a reno, - was in LA for a wedding, and had a consultation at Christopher Peacock's showroom. She thought a CP kitchen would be good for resale. The price back then was getting up in that range, What mainly killed it, because CP didn't have a crew in Seattle, my friend would have had to fly in, house(hotel)/feed crew who do the finishing work. It just seemed all too much for them. BTW - they did spend a hundred or so on their kitchen -

On Property Bros--didn't remember if it was in CA or the US, said if the lead was limited to so many sq ft, the HO could do lead removal themselves. On a recent This Old House, I I seem to recall if the lead is removed, the local trash scavenger will take it.... but the bags must be well sealed. ETA: DIY lead removal in MA -
Yes she is Aubrey on Flip/Vegas, is one, so is Anita Flip/Atlanta, Kortney /Masters of Flip(Nashville)y is one too.

Did not like how the green was used in the poet's house. Way too severe Sometimes a fireplace just needs to be downplayed/take a backseat in a furniture arrangement and the room just doesn't evolve around it. Kept screaming, put a powder room in the space where the new kitchen entry went. -

I think Luann was trying to use/dip into the proceeds from the sale of her larger Hampton's hse shown in earlier seasons w/the long bar in the LR - BTW, that house was torn down https://hamptons.curbed.com/2014/9/11/10048490/countess-luanns-house-sells-to-joe-farrell-as-a-teardown -

Erika's niche/targeted audience is gay, so yes, she could do quite nicely w/that following. -
I take the CA shows with a grain of salt because their market is super hot Thinking more along the lines of DIY's Big Tx Fix (Galveston) - they purchase houses as bad-- and similarly priced as M & K buys - usually put $100k+ into them... and make some wonderful profits. I put the TX couple in the same league as M & K with the places they take on. The Vegas couple do very well too. - not hundreds of thousand-- but still a nice amt. It's sad when you see M & K might make $25 or $30k Then again maybe M7K make their $$ in volume?

20% of that amt was probably for what I believe was a huge La Cornue range -
My DVR cut off - how much did they sell it for? Glad the show is back. What I find amazing is, with all of the flip shows in the various cities - M & K don't make profits as large as the other shows do.

Don't know if it's the character or not - but Michael Weatherly's breathing is now very loud . I wonder if it's the weight gain?

Yes Maybe a white DW - or frontpanel that matched the other cabinets would have been a better choice? -
No it's not like Contact paper - it's more like do no damage Post-it note adhesive. It's designed for easy removal that's why it's good for renters.

Lastnight's HHR - wasn't there another bedroom on the first floor? I guess closing the area off to make it a master suite was no biggie because if she sells it can go back to a hallway w/2 bdrms. Sadly with all the $$ spent, the after was so vanilla -
Re; The narration Didn't Southern Charm have Cameran do it too on its first season? So far I'm enjoying it

I do have to giggle when some of the aerial footage is of the Brown or Purple Line trains near-north & downtown going over bridges. The Red Line becomes a subway under downtown,

Love or hate her style--I think she has an eye, but Aubrey fro Flip or Flop Vegas will often show the clearance rooms for tile, slabs, flooring, etc for their flips. What's interesting is, the cost of of the laying/installing/fabricating can be double or more of the price she paid for the item You can find homes in Manhattan with yards/outdoor space but it will cost you, since they sold their house for over $13+ million, they'll be able to find something w/a yard in that starting price range ETA: Here's Sonja Morgan(Real Ho'wives NYC) Upper Eastside townhouse w/outdoor space . It was listed for over $7+ million It's also a short walk to Central Park - the ultimate outdoor space. https://streeteasy.com/blog/rhonys-sonja-morgan-townhouse-for-rent-asks-32k-month-for-townhouse/ -
For the most part you're thinking downtown proper--though high-rises also run up and down the lakefront. The city itself (googling) is 230-ish sq miles I suspect the loft was probably 3-4 miles west/nor'west of downtown

Haven't been watching HH in awhile, but noticed lastnight--Chicago couple, they didn't even say the neighborhoods they were looking in. On HH Reno they stopped mentioning their occupations. Back to Chicago couple - I didn't really care for any of the 3 places shown.

Not sure if they were hoarders or just two people combining households and not dealing with it because of continuous reno. I didn't care for the after, I thought it was very meh. It didn't have their look/style. I thought the 'foyer' was wasted space - fill it w/cabinets/storage instead, or take even more space from it for her closet.
