  1. If he sent them to the future it (presumably) would have been the scorched earth version so he had to send them to the past. The question is why only 15 years. I'd want my world saving heroes to be well trained and at their peaks. That's certainly not the case with a couple of teenagers.
  2. Candidate for mayor seems like a horrible job for someone trying to maintain a double life as a vigilante. Reporter: Mr. Queen, why do you keep disappearing at odd times? Oliver: Uh, I'm cheating on my girlfriend! Lance should just buy his tombstone now. Maybe there's an early bird discount.
  3. A video showing off what to expect going forward The biggest shocker in the entire thing is that they actually refer to Superman by name.
  4. Being a personal assistant is actually a pretty bad choice for Kara if flying off in the middle of the day is going to be a common occurrence - at least Cat doesn't want her to shadow her 24/7 but she'll probably get really pissed if she calls and Kara can't answer right away. He who must not be named will never show up but I wonder if they'll ever get him to do a voice only appearance. That scene on the roof with Jimmy (er, James) should have been with Superman but if he couldn't get away from Metropolis he could have at least picked up a phone or recorded a message. Speaking of James, is he going to be treating every day like casual Friday or has he already secured bulletproof status? Cat didn't seem overly pissed to having him waltz into her office and he definitely seems unafraid of her.
  5. The big guy/Kara's cousin/Kal-El/Him doesn't bother to show up at all even though there's apparently a bunch of Kryptonian villains starting to run around? That actually does sound like a job for Superman - too bad he apparently can't stand talking to his cousin. Did Dean Cain get paid to stand there and say nothing for ten seconds? That's a good gig.
  6. Do these folks not understand the idea of a mercy kill? Annie (I think that was her name) would rather get eaten alive than put a bullet in her head? You see a guy being ripped to shreds behind a fence and you don't want to stab him with your sword? In real life people die in stupid and mundane ways but there's no way they'd have someone as important as Glenn get killed like that unless Steve Yuen insisted on leaving the show.
  7. That's not just a Clara thing, it's been going on ever since Rose first popped up. Remember, 10 effectively committed suicide in that alternate future when Donna (the most important woman in all of creation according to Rose) wasn't around to drag him out. 11 retired after Amy left and who knows what 12 will do when Clara leaves. Him leaving without checking up on things is pretty much a Doctor thing regardless of incarnation. Being the hero who saves the day is a lot easier than being the guy who help rebuilds after the fact.
  8. Why must the world saving always involve teenagers? Malina is mostly OK even if she is a very poor copy of Aang but Tommy seems to be getting worse. You never have to sit in coach or wait in line so what are you whining about? Plus being able to whisk women away to foreign cities has to be the greatest first date move in history. Also, of the popular heroes in media today only one (Spidey) is often portrayed as a teen. Compelling stories that appeal to all ages don't need to involve a kid.
  9. The hero picking up the missing uniform is Connor Hawke although it sounds like he won't be Oliver's kid. I guess they really want an archer around.
  10. That card he took in the chest was also where a cleavage window would be for a lot of female fighters (Nyssa, for example). Cover up, ladies! Speaking of Nyssa, why on earth didn't Malcom execute her on the spot? Destroying the pit has to be up there on the list of LOA crimes.
  11. Caitlin should just get it over with and ask Jay to move in with her. He should need a place to live since a guy without powers who appeared out of thin air six months ago shouldn't have been able to get a job or a decent apartment. Why live the life of a remarkably clean and well groomed hobo if you don't have to?
  12. So they've got a security camera on the portal they spent all episode trying to stabilize, right? Something hooked up to a motion detector and alarm since the (known) visitors have consisted of Jay and a bunch of superpowered killers gunning for Barry. Also, thermite is NOT an explosive. It gets really, really hot but it doesn't blow up - there's a reason why it's such a popular demo in classrooms.
  13. Killing Bruce should be a piece of cake, especially if a 6 mile jog home is the new normal. Galavan's true goal should be ruining the Wayne name and legacy before offing the last member of the family.
  14. Show Blackfish actually has legitimate reasons for being an asshole now. He might have survivor's guilt (good thing his bladder isn't extra large!) and his whole family was either brutally murdered or tossed in prison. I'm not sure how widely known the Lannister role in the Red Wedding is but he seems like the type who could connect the dots so he'd probably be less than thrilled to see Jaime.
  15. There's a difference between tough talk and actually kidnapping someone. I can see DD being the type to think that taking a nontarget is beneath a sophisticated person like himself. Well Ollie, it's a good thing you don't have a secret double life since mayors (especially young former billionaire playboys) are followed around a lot and have around the clock security.
  16. You also don't go from zero to relatively competent vigilante after a few months of boxing lessons (Laurel) or assassin training (Thea). Plus that car hit was actually pretty hard so even with training Ollie should have been wincing after that one. They should also ask Cisco to build in some insulation the next time he upgrades their suits. Tasers are a relatively common weapon.
  17. Stein: Joe, it's like having a Flash movie and a Flash TV show. They have a lot of characters with the same names and abilities but also some significant differences. Joe: I still don't get it. Stein: You're really a network executive, aren't you?
  18. All of the blood rushing away from the rational part of her brain is the only explanation for her not considering the possibility that Ronnie was sucked into one of the alternate Earths. Wells also has to be at least morally grey because generic good guy scientist is too much of a waste of Cavanagh's talents. Besides, no good guy says "hello kids" like that.
  19. Have they ever said what happened to Ma West? She was already gone by the time Barry moved in with Joe but I don't remember anyone referring to Joe as a widow. Joe seemed irritated to see her but not in a "you were supposed to be dead!" sort of way. If he really did concoct some BS story about her then he should have been really pissed to see her walk into the police station.
  20. Why did they bring in Patty Spivot? Because Felicity is a popular character on Arrow. Well, that and they probably want to play around with Barry having to keep his ID a secret. Everyone else knows now so no more wacky excuses are needed. So unpowered Jay was able to waltz in past the new and improved Star Labs security system with just the clothes on his back? Maybe Cisco needs to head down to Home Depot and buy some locks since that can't be any worse then what they have. Did Barry end up killing not Sandman? If so that's two out of two dead villains so far. Maybe the no killing thing only applies to Earth 1 residents?
  21. True, but these characters still have a decade to develop into the crazies that will fill Batman's nights. He could easily snap at some point and turn into a psychotic serial killer. It also would have been better for Galavan if he was the only one shot at - proof that the other candidates aren't worth the effort. That could have been done without making an enemy of the city's top mob boss.
  22. There's a lot of controversy behind the male Dr. Light (i.e. being retconned from an incompetent boob into a serial rapist who was mindwiped by Zatanna and the Justice League, complete with Barry casting the deciding vote for the wipe) so they'll probably want to avoid using him. His powers make him a better foil for a Green Lantern anyway. Hopefully the show's Dr. Light gets a better looking mask since what she has looks kind of goofy.
  23. I guess these folks will never bother with body armor? No face shields, duct-tape sleeves, etc? Rick might be going off the slippery slope but it's pretty clear that no one has the right blend of smarts, determination, and charisma to take his place as leader. Daryl, Michonne, Glenn, Carol, and Abraham are all great as number 2s but for one reason or another I can't see any being viable leaders of such a large group.
  24. The NYCC sizzle reel is out Some of it is footage from the first episode but the rest is new. Looks like Ollie really wants food named after him.
  25. Actually, they're probably giddy because when the building owners walk in and take a look they'll see that the person who rebuilt their stuff has no architectural knowledge whatsoever and the real professional have to be brought in anyway. The bond for them is that all the debris has been cleaned up by CC's greatest janitor.
