Yes, it came up when Roose returned to Winterfell after the Red Wedding. That was why one of those Bolton guys (the one Hodor killed, I think) was there when Jon attacked Craster's Keep. Aside from trying to snap Jon out of his whining I'm not sure why Sansa thinks that Jon is the one the North will rally to when she's the trueborn daughter of Ned Stark. Regardless, they'll need the Vale troops since the three biggest houses (Bolton, Karstark, Umber) hate the Starks. Say, isn't Jorah supposed to be some awesome fighter? He got his ass kicked there.

They shouldn't succeed in reaching Barry (he's powerless, he's trapped in the speed force, he's having a good cry, etc.) but it makes Team Arrow look ridiculous for not even trying. Constantine isn't popping up anytime soon but at least Oliver tried to reach him for help in previous episodes. Billions of lives were potentially on the line so not even trying to call their superpowered friend and his crack team of geniuses is inconceivable.

I wonder what's the bigger news in the Arrowverse these days - the evil speedster who controls Central City or the Russian nuclear missile that wiped out tens of thousands of innocent people. That should have started World War III since there's no way in hell the public would buy that some evil mastermind orchestrated all of this just so he could get a power boost.

Season 6: Info, Casting and Spoilers
cambridgeguy replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Game Of Thrones
If prepping for an attack on the wall is priority 1 for Ramsey then torturing Osha and Rickon will be 1a based on everything we've seen. We may not see much of Rickon's suffering since on screen child torture is probably a no go for the network. Unfortunately, that means Osha is in for a living hell that we may have to watch. Also, Robb didn't deserve what he got but he DID break his sacred vow and made some strategic blunders that screwed the North. Rickon is an innocent (just like Shireen and Myrcella, actually) so I can see them executing yet another person to show how horrible the world is. -
The Umbers have to be playing some con, right? The Boltons didn't really suffer any losses fighting Stannis so the combined might of the Boltons, Karstarks, and Umbers would be enough to beat the wildlings unless they've got a bunch of giants hiding somewhere. That being said, Osha and Rickon are going to be in for a world of pain. I guess they ran out of money for Gerold Hightower? Or is he keeping an eye on Lyanna in the tower?

Say what you will about Kendra but at least she wasn't stupid enough to fight a villain with thousands of years of combat experience solely due to a jealous rage. Ray might just grab the stupidest hero title and there's an astounding level of competition for that given what Barry Allen has been up to. Oh, and once again Carter gets his ass kicked by Savage. It's hard to believe that getting stabbed way back in the second episode is far and away his best showing.

Supergirl season 2 premiere on the CW - Kara is exposed to a new form of kryptonite (made by Max Lord, probably) that keeps her grounded. However, she'll still have her speed so she can woosh in just like Tom Welling. Meanwhile, J'onn will be struck by something that locks him into the powerless Hank Henshaw form (they did this on Smallville too). I'm (kind of) kidding but those flight scenes and the CGI for MM have to cost a fortune. Maybe Supergirl will always take off and land just out of the shot. Plus no more wire work fights (some of which were pretty dubious, for what it's worth).

Hey Oliver, if DD is going to nuke the world then maybe it's time to call in Barry and take him out. Or if you saw Zoom gloating on the news then you should just call that guy and tell him he'll always be number two on the supervillain list if someone else launches some nuclear warheads. Zoom is more of a hands-on guy anyway so I don't think he'd be a fan of killing via bomb.

There has to be a catch with Wally and Jesse, otherwise having three speedsters makes the good guys too overpowered against anyone except for Zoom. Speaking of Zoom, why not visit Star Labs and wreck their equipment before they try to do things that could stop you? He won't kill them for Caitlin's sake (so what does she do when she needs to use the bathroom?) but a little property damage is more forgivable than murdering a bunch of cops. After Barry got his advice from his three dads (geez) he should have called Oliver. Some perspective from a fellow hero would have helped.
-
I'm not sure I buy Barry being so reluctant to undergo the procedure, especially once Zoom came back. There's no Supergirl on this Earth and it really is all your fault so volunteer already! I guess they had to make sure this didn't work flawlessly, otherwise they'd have an instant speedster chamber. I guess Barry doesn't really know his family history if Jay having the same last name as his maternal grandmother never registered with him. Also, they never answered the bathroom question in Thawne's braille room.

Say Kendra, weren't you there when Barry and Oliver helped turn Savage into a pile of ash? Couldn't you tell Rip about that during the blathering about not being sure where to find Savage? Timeline contamination doesn't seem to be a concern so maybe that time Savage attacked you and Cisco in Jitters? Or the time he smashed into Felicity and Oliver's apartment? That being said, if the writers want people to like Kendra then they could not have done a worse job. Spending multiple episodes moping about her love life and then risking the rest of humanity for a dude is horrible.

Did Diggle kill the limo driver when he confronted the mayor? A guy who may not have been one of Darhk's evil minions? Along with smacking around an unarmed person that really, really makes him look bad. It's a good thing the Star City police are incompetent.
-
Presumably the new particle accelerator explosion will be done on a smaller scale. That being said, I think a surprising number of people would volunteer for a chance to get superpowers even with the chance of fatal side effects. Most of the metas have useful powers without any real drawbacks.

No desire to capture the unfortunate Mr. Grey and offer to put the full STAR Labs team on looking for a cure? Geez, tossing folks in prison without due process is kind of dubious but this guy wasn't a supervillain. Even if what Wells said was true about there not being a cure giving up after a few hours seems premature. I hope that the next visitor to Zoom's hideaway brings a piece of paper and a pencil. Write the alphabet down, show it to masked dude, and figure out what it is he's trying to say if you can't bust him out. Obviously he's relevant, otherwise Zoom wouldn't bother keeping him alive. The logical choice would be Zolomon senior but that's irrelevant to the audience. Oh, and since when did Caitlin have Cisco-level technical skills? Rigging up that thing to KF's cell wasn't trivial.

So is killing your half cousin classified as kinslaying? Regardless, I'm pretty sure that "kill my brother and nephew" was not a part of Oberyn's last will and testament. So now the recognized House Martell is gone, House Baratheon is effectively gone (Tommen is toast at some point), House Lannister has no heirs, House Arryn is reduced to a lunatic child and House Tyrell has its kids rotting in prison. Who knew the Starks would be in the best shape compared to their fellow Great Houses.

I can (kind of) buy Wells not making the connection since he may not be the type to follow these things. However, it sounds like Hunter was about as famous as OJ Simpson - the odd thing is apparently no one thought Jay Garrick looked an awful lot like a famous serial killer. We didn't see Jay vibrate his face in his one flashback Earth 2 public appearance either so a lot of people should have gotten a clear look. Now, if serial killer Hunter had worn glasses then it would be OK. No one can see through an impenetrable disguise like that.

And that's why you don't gloat over your fallen opponent until after you've tossed him into a secure prison cell. Zoom actually GAVE them Wally back and trusted Team Flash to be stupid enough to keep their word. Then they actually did it!!! Even though the new and improved Barry might have been able to beat him, especially since they were meeting on his home turf! Being the good guy doesn't mean you can't lie once in a while. There are probably real world legal reasons for Barry keeping his mouth shut about Supergirl but I cannot believe he wouldn't instantly tell Cisco about the superpowered alien he ran into.
-
?!?!?! She absolutely has loved ones on Earth unless you think she's lying every time she says I love you to Alex. She also loves the rest of the main cast and Eliza to varying degrees and apparently Superman has a really weak mind so he might still need some protecting. Speaking of which, did they ever did the introductions between Cat, Alex, and Eliza. What an amazing coincidence to have the other Danvers around during the crisis. It's a good thing she snagged the "normal" one as her assistant.
-
Supergirl did need backup - without J'onn there she would have lost. Superman would have lost too if he had gone there solo. If the fate of the world hangs in the balance you take all of the help you can get and don't quibble about nonsense like how some douchebag is belittling your competency. Speaking of which, it will look really bad if Alex decides that this means Max is an OK guy after all. This was pure self-preservation. Besides, the weakest part of the series has been all of the romantic plots. If they ever do a hope/love/etc. conquers all storyline again then they better bring in the appropriate Lantern. Otherwise it is just stupid. I was actually expecting CGI Superman to fetch Kara from orbit but from the way the chat session was phrased it seemed like that was their first conversation since the whole thing started. Geez Clark, you couldn't be bothered to check on your world saving cousin in person?
-
Only if they want to cast the old man or child version - otherwise, it's the same face. It was probably faster to just cast a different actress instead of putting CR in old age makeup and using the usual tricks. Did Ray kill that hunter in the final battle? That's a pretty brutal move for an idealistic hero.
-
Has Alex learned nothing from her sister? You don't need a blond wig, just put on a pair of glasses and style your hair differently. J'onn will, of course, be fine. He actually got ripped in half in a JLU episode and shook that off. That being said, his weakness to fire still seems undefined. Shouldn't standing a few feet away from a giant fire be a problem?
-
They also gave up and called it after about a minute. Don't doctors usually try for a bit longer before calling TOD? Or was having it at 11:59 pm too poetic an opportunity for them to pass up? I do think that Darhk was more interested in making Quentin suffer compared to Oliver. Thea was right there if he really wanted to stick it to Oliver. Of course now that he knows who everyone (including Lyla and Sara) should be moving into the most secure location possible ASAP.
-
Diggle to Oliver - I know what the Kevlar won't protect. Everyone with eyes - So do we, it's the exposed arms and head. Seems like a stupid design, actually. Speaking of armor, maybe they should invest in some sort of combination of bullet proof AND stab proof armor. In a world where a surprising number of people are fond of arrows it could be useful.

Why do I get the feeling that the writers/producers were big fans of "Who shot JR?" and/or Star Trek's Best of Both Worlds? This might have worked in the days before the internet, or if Glenn hadn't pulled a Houdini earlier in the season. If this show is truly about Rick's man-pain then the victim has to be either Michonne (new love) or Daryl (surrogate brother). Even though he's known Glenn longer than those two I don't see the same connection. If it's about establishing how evil Negan is then it doesn't really matter who gets killed. If it's about causing the most anguish in the audience then it's either Daryl, Maggie, or Glenn since I think Michonne has plot armor.

The fact that James instantly started sulking when he found out Barry was a superhero does not bode well for a future relationship. I can see him developing a massive inferiority complex - professionally, he's only where he is because Superman posed for him and Kara will always be considered better than him by virtually everyone. I'd hate to see his reaction if a hero native to their earth ever shows up.
