  1. Congrats to Endgame! Well deserved! Great movie.
  2. Thank you. He’s being utterly ridiculous. Hurts wouldn’t have left Alabama without knowing that he’s the starting QB at Oklahoma.
  3. The Handmaid’s Tale wasn’t eligible for this year’s Emmys since the third season premiered after June 1.
  4. UO: I’m enjoying this season of Big Little Lies.
  5. Word to this entire post. I was baffled as to why I was supposed to want Danny and Evelyn together after what Danny did to Rafe. I chere’s on Rafe kicking Danny’s ass. Then, they name the baby after Danny. WHAT.
  6. Doesn’t make it any less shitty or unintentionally hilarious.
  7. Y’all. Y’ALL. Grown ass women sat in a circle pointing at another woman calling her a “crybaby.” It was so fucking embarrassing. I don’t even recognize this show anymore.
  8. Fair point. I love Emily, but I had the same thought as you did. Although I will say that I did like it when she and Moira were talking, and Moira said how they haven't killed anyone since leaving Gilead. It had to do with their circumstances, not who they are as people. I also appreciated the Boston area shoutouts; Club Cafe and Machine. However, neither one of those places is in Somerville. LOL.
  9. I have so many problems that I don't know where to begin, but my issue is that June is not playing the long game. Seeing your daughter for 2 seconds doesn't get her out of Gilead. That helps no one, and it's actually getting people killed. I honestly couldn't bear looking at that Martha's face. She broke my heart. Kudos to that actress because it was honestly stomach churning to watch her face her execution. Also, who hell made the directing and/or acting choice to have June scowl during the Martha's execution. WTF? I just have to say that I have a problem with OfMatthew and OfGlen 2.0 -- two black women -- being such champions of Gilead. This is why it's so frustrating to have this show so oblivious of race; they don't realize what they are inadvertently saying with that portrayal.
  10. It’s sad that Hannah has lost someone else she loves and trusts.
  11. With all due respect, that’s your opinion. It works just fine for some.
  12. Heh. This reminds me. When Madeline turned over after Ed rejected her kisses in bed, I honestly thought for a moment that she was going to finger herself. I would have died.
  13. Maybe saying “stay or get a divorce” is a bit harsh at this point, but I don’t see how the passive-aggressiveness is helping anyone. Passive-aggression helps *no one.* Like, why did Ed go to a dancing party knowing that it would be highly likely that he’d need or be asked to dance with Madeline? Why even put yourself in that position? On a non related note, I don’t understand the bankruptcy trustee’s smart ass remarks about how he will determine what the house will sell for and how much their assets will be tied up in civil suits. If an appraiser said their house will sell north of $20 million, why would he have a problem with that? I’ve never had to deal with bankruptcy, so I’m very confused. Also, what happens with Renata’s checks once they declare bankruptcy. Won’t that start the rebuilding process? Or are her wages garnished? Jane’s hair continues to look terrible, and the bandana is the real MVP of the episode because it kept those hideous bangs off her face. Same for her toboggan.
  14. This is what I’ve been saying this ENTIRE TIME. Thank you. I feel validated. LOL.
  15. Dear Ed, Either shit or get off the pot. Yes, Madeline is the one who had the affair. However, Ed either needs to commit to working on their marriage or filing for divorce. Passive-aggressiveness isn’t cute on anybody. Like, why the fuck did he show up at Amabella’s party and act surprised that his wife, who is trying to remedy things, would ask him to dance? He is so put out by it, and I’m baffled. It’s like, why did you choose to even go at all? Mary Louise is a true piece of work. She disgusts me every time she doubts Jane was raped. That being said, what the hell is going on with Celeste? I’ve never taken Ambien, but are constant blackouts normal?! If I were Celeste, I’d book an emergency appointment with my PCP/m and/or psychiatrist to figure out why these drugs keep making me blackout and to see if I could be prescribed something with less harmful side effects. Celeste is going to have a very hard time defending medication inducing blackouts. She needs to go on the offensive here, as do all these women.
  16. I saw this movie again yesterday, and I definitely have both popular an unpopular thoughts. Overall, I love this movie. I really do. I wanted to see it again closer to its initial release, but a hectic work schedule prevented me from doing so. I think it’s quite a cinematic achievement and Marvel should be proud. The “Portals” moment is hands down one of the most breathtaking moments not only in the film, but I dare say in the history of cinema. I didn’t breathe throughout the scene. I thought Thor had the best character arc in the film. In fact, he was my favorite. Even though I’d seen the movie before, I enjoyed and laughed at his parts as if I were seeing them for the first time. He’s a truly delight and one of the reasons the movie is so great. Steve—I loved him in this and had no problem with his ending. There. I said it. It was very easy for me to see that when Steve returned the stones, he started a different timeline where he wasn’t in the ice and was reunited with Peggy. Then, he returned to “our” timeline where Peggy did live a happy, fulfilled live in Steve’s absence, and Steve is the Captain America we all know. Also, Chris Evans was born to play Captain America. I thought RDJ gave an outstanding performance. It is clear why he is the linchpin of the franchise. I wanted more Captain Marvel although her not budging at Thanos’s head butt is a highlight of the movie. l still don’t fully understand why Nebula didn’t tell the group how Thanos acquired the Soul Stone. That seems like important information. As far as the reasons why this movie will or won’t surpass Avatar, all I will say is that this movie has a 94% score on RT which says something about how much it pleased the masses. As my mom always tells me, everything isn’t for everybody. For a movie that had a lot to cover and served as the culmination of ten years, it did extremely well.
  17. I miss SOAPNet, too. It was definitely superior.
  18. Yeah, it’s gone from all the convenient theatres in my area. I wonder with the re-release if it’ll come back? I don’t see an option to preorder tickets, either.
  19. Aw. I just want Mark-Paul Gosselaar to have a successful series. I will watch Mixed-ish. Loved the promo.
  20. Me, per usual with Marvel: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
  21. I actually think the writing has been one of the major highlights of the new season, particularly this episode.
  22. Love both movies, but I could watch Wonder Woman on repeat and not be bored. Then again, I really didn’t have a problem with the third act.
  23. Heh. I enjoyed the episode. I’m glad the show is back. If I were Celeste, I’d be pissed about Jane not cashing those checks because she’d be fucking up my bank account. CASH THE CHECKS.
