To go along with the Vogue cover, Gal also did an episode of "73 Questions" with Vogue. https://www.vogue.com/video/watch/gal-gadot-on-wonder-woman-1984-her-family-and-how-to-actually-pronounce-her-name?c=series

So the assumption is that if someone has had sex with multiple partners, he or she must have STDs? That seems slut shamey to me. But for the record, some people know how to practice safe sex. Thank you. I don't care if you have 1,000 sexual partners as long as you're practicing safe sex. High number of partners =/= must have an STD.

Mr. EB's father is dead, yet his mother still considers her dead husband's brother to be her brother in law (and vice versa), and the brother in law's kids are still her niece and nephew. You don't get kicked out of a family just because your spouse dies. I must agree here. I am one of those who gets annoyed when Amelia and Maggie refer to each other as sisters, but I think this is entirely different. Amelia and Meredith's children are related. Also, death doesn't change history. I would find it odd not to consider my aunt's (who has sadly passed) family as my own family. I still consider them related to me. Same. 😢 Although, can someone explain to me why the baseball player's career is over? I know the bat lodged close to his heart, but his surgery seemed to go well. Did I miss something? I have never loved Richard more than when he told Catherine to GTFO. I CACKLED like an old witch! She totally deserves it. Once she bought Richard's hospital and closed it, she lost the chance to be redeemable. It's a shame because I do like Debbie Allen. As much as I hate Owen, my heart kinda twitched watching him listen to that voicemail. That was actually sad to witness. Teddy is fucking heinous. Also, yes, I know Koracick isn't innocent here, either, but to hear her tell him that "this is goodbye" is just so fucked up! Owen! Tom! You can both do better! I adored Amelia's storyline. Maybe I was just tired, but I thought her asking why the first woman ever to get pregnant allowed another woman to do the same was hilarious! Hee! Then, I loved Bailey sticking with her and getting in the bed with her. Finally, Amelia realizing that Bailey miscarried her own child and apologizing for making her stay was such a human moment. In fact, that's what I liked about Amelia's entire storyline; everyone acted like real human beings with genuine emotion. Character came before plot, which is what this show needs. Thank you! That's exactly it! It's frustrating because this is writing 101. There's no payoff for the audience if we didn't know that Richard had hip replacement surgery! I actually said aloud, "Richard had a hip replacement three years ago?!" Meanwhile, the characters are acting like, "Of course!" WTF? Yeah, I'm glad Richard's better, but putting clues along the way is what a good writer does.

It kept taking me out of the scene! It was terrible!

This episode reminded me of why I liked Koracick in the first place and made me realize how Greg Germann has been criminally wasted since they've made him a regular. I really liked his storyline tonight. Am I suppose to hate Teddy? Because I do. Both Tom and Owen deserve better than her. What the hell are they doing with her character? I cannot even handle all of the ridiculousness involved with Richard's storyline. No, the PLASTICS guy shouldn't be on a team for what is clearly a neurological condition. Honestly? Meredith, Maggie, and Bailey shouldn't be on his team, either. It's all so ridiculous. And am I the only person who is confused as to where the hell this storyline even came from before last week? Richard had a tremor in his hand, and all of a sudden he is having hallucinations and has no idea that he's married to Catherine? What?????? The only reason this storyline even has a shot in hell of working is due to James Pickens, Jr.'s acting. What the hell are they doing with DeLuca? He was suspended and now he's back at the hospital helping? Is no one going to bring up his breakdown a couple of weeks ago? WTF? Glasses...I don't care.

I honestly feel like the hate for Randall has a slight racial tinge to it. Like people couldn't wait for a reason to hate him and I think it's because subconsciously they don't really like black men. C'mon. That's not fair. For what it's worth, I am black woman. I am critical of Randall probably because I'm a lot like him. I also suffer from anxiety; I'm a perfectionist; I can be a "control freak" (but I'm a Virgo, so you know). I know the stress that it puts on family and friends when you lean so heavily on them due to panic attacks, which is why I sought help. That's why Randall's attitude towards therapy this season has annoyed the living shit out of me. I also want to play hero to my grandparents; anytime they have an ailment, I want to fly them to where I am, so they can go to one of the best hospitals in the country. I *completely* understand where Randall is coming from in his actions, which is why I don't hate him. He is a fully written character, and Sterling has done an excellent job portraying him. However, as much as I love the people in my life, I'm not required to like them at all times. Right now, I'm not liking Randall. And you know what? That's okay because I trust what this show is doing. These characters, like Randall, are us. Sometimes, I know I can be impossible, but that doesn't mean I'm any less deserving of love, and I feel the same way about Randall.
-
Something that I've noticed is that Randall has absolutely no respect for the performing arts, which as an artist myself (actor/singer/dancer), really pisses me off. I really, really wish someone would call him out on it. He's dismissive of Kevin's success, and last season he was dismissive of Beth's dancing. For some reason, Randall has bought into acting and dancing not being work, and he has an antiquated notion of acting. I would dream of having Kevin's career. Has Randall ever said anything negative about Kate's singing? I wonder if he hasn't because her desire to sing has never threatened him or because she's never been successful at it.
-
As was when Randall told Kevin that Jack died ashamed of him. We can keep going in this circle.
-
Ah, I did forget about that! Fair point. Nonetheless, that’s a lot of lapsed time between now and the scene years into the future. He could’ve married someone else, too.
-
Also, why do people think Kevin is married to Madison? Just because she’s the father of his children doesn’t mean that they’re married. It isn’t 1950. There’s a reason that they haven’t shown his wife, IMO.
-
I don’t see what’s so “WTF” about it. Did you hear what Randall even said? He accused Kevin of not being able to take care of anyone else, so of course Kevin decided to fully commit to taking care of his children. I’m baffled as to the so-called “WTF”-ness of that moment. Both Kevin and Randall said shitty, hurtful things. There’s no “winner” here; it’s just sad, painful, and realistic.
-
This is just weird. His sister was standing right there. She should have had him committed for observation. Clearly they all think he is experiencing a manic state from bipolar disease. If he refuses treatment, they can get him committed. I mean . . . they are right there at a hospital. They're really that sure he's manic and they just send him home?? What kind of incompetent doctors are these people? Never mind. Sixteen seasons now, I know that's rhetorical. It's REALLY infuriating to me. I had a friend in college that asked his classmates to touch him in the middle of class, and he wouldn't calm down until they all did it. He was soon after diagnosed with bipolar disorder. To watch that scene with DeLuca was difficult, and to watch them let him LEAVE the fucking hospital? Maddening. If he hurts himself or someone else, it's on them. What they did was inexcusable, IMO.
-
That was great. Too bad she couldn't have a live audience.
-
Yeah, I’ve been best friends with someone since 13, and while I consider her a sister, whenever I’m describing her to someone, I say, “She’s like a sister.” The way these three act, you’d get the impression they are blood sisters.

Behind The Scenes: The Drama Behind the Drama
PepSinger replied to windsprints's topic in Grey's Anatomy
As far as Heigl goes, I do not think Grey’s Anatomy did anything wrong. Saying that she withdrew because she didn’t think she had worthy material was just stupid. It may have been true, but it’s still stupid. Then, they granted her time off, and she still couldn’t be bothered to show up and finish her job? Yeah, in this rare instance, I am taking Shonda’s side. -
Totally agree. He said that with such disgust that even I felt it.

Excuse my language but that's cold as fuck. Not that cold? I wouldn't even be asked to come in to work with that temperature ( I live in Jersey). People would be staying home all over. Ha! Yeah, I thought I misread that. Hell, I'm in Boston, and I don't think I'd be asked to go into work if it were that cold. Not that it would matter because I'd be calling out. That's cold as fuck. DeLuca not wearing gloves is so stupid that I cannot even believe that it's real. I don't have Bipolar Disorder, but would that really explain not properly dressing for the weather???? And why is no one but Meredith and his sister noticing his erratic behavior? Does everyone else just not give a damn? It's bizarre! Teddy/Owen/Link/Amelia drama is just such heinous writing that it boggles the mind. Whoever came up with this idea should be ashamed. Teddy sleeping with Koracick is stupid; HOWEVER, Teddy is a grown ass woman capable of making decisions. It is not Tom's fault that Teddy is a moron and came over to have sex with him. She made that choice willingly. That does not make Tom an "emotional vampire." Women have agency when it comes to engaging in sexual encounters. I actually like the Bailey foster kid story. Also, WTF is with Richard's storyline? Honestly, did we know he had a hand tremor before this episode? Did he quit the hospital? What the hell is happening?
-
I think my favorite thing about that is that it’s such an American thing to assume someone doesn’t know a second language. People who grow up in Europe, like the Irish doc and DeLuca, frequently know a second language. I was pleased, but I hardly found it surprising. Italian isn’t some mysterious language.
-
EXACTLY.

Amelia needs absolutely no help or encouragement to put herself first because that’s what she always does. Amelia is wrong. This shit is ri-damn-diculous. You do not get to decide whether you will find out who the father of the baby is. Now, it IS up to her if she wants to determine paternity before birth, but after? No. Link —and Owen, for that matter— would be well in their rights to get a court-ordered paternity test. Fuck this, “My sisters will help me raise the child” crap. She willingly had sex with a man, and pregnancy is a consequence of sex. She knows that. When pregnancy happens and you decide to keep the baby, that man has a right to raise his own child! WTF? Amelia is infuriating. Thanks, writers, for making her a shitty character again and destroying the only healthy relationship on this show.

I also find it interesting how it’s the Kims who are the “bad ones,” yet what about the housekeeper and her husband? The husband is living in someone else’s house. Why aren’t they able to improve their status? Again, opportunity. I find it fascinating how people have more sympathy for the housekeeper and her husband than the Kims. At the end of the day, though, the Parks, Kims, and housekeeper husband/wife all lost someone, so no one wins. I like pondering what that says about life. My guess is that no one wins under this economic structure.

That is not at all what he is saying. That is far too simplistic a read of Joon-Ho’s work, IMO. He doesn’t cast anyone as the hero or the villain, which makes this movie all the more great.

I think Joon-Ho wants to give the audience a little credit. To anyone who understands capitalism and class warfare, it’s readily apparent as to why they are living in poverty. Opportunity. Once the Kims infiltrated the Park family, they could’ve eventually been middle class as well due to nothing other than opportunity. Joon-Ho doesn’t need to explain class warfare or capitalism to the audience. He’s assuming his audience is more intelligent than that. Also, for what it’s worth, it seems that there is dialogue in the film to understand the family’s situation. I prefer it when directors don’t hold the audience’s hand.
