  1. “If you gotta problem with me... it’s your problem.” Next year Dorinda’s line is going to be “I’m walkin’ heah! I’M WALKIN’ HEAH!”
  2. I know this is an old post, but I had to laugh because I, too, love the Yelp lip balm! It’s crazy because they obviously order it from some promo company, but it’s good stuff! My HG products are: Clinique Take the Day Off Balm AmorePacific Vintage Single Essence Extract For foundation it’s a tie between Too Faced Peach Perfect (daily) and YSL Touche Eclat All-in-One Glow (special occasions) I own a billion red lipsticks but I seem to get the most compliments with Too Faced Peach Kiss in Stop Traffic and YSL Vinyl Cream Lip Stain in Rythym Red Dior Creme Abricot Nail Cream And... Chap Stick. Plain old Chap Stick. I’m partial to the summer Watermelon version, but I will use other “flavors.” I use so many other things 😉 but those are the ones that really stand out.
  3. I’m totally at a loss. I’ve never been on a PJ but I *have* been to Solvang numerous times. It is 100% not bougie. It’s also about a 45-minute drive from Santa Barbara, which is (in many ways) bougie. AND there’s an airport there, too. Great cherry danish, though!
  4. Where has this thread been my PTV life! Seriously, just noticed it thanks to the forum revamp. Anyone tried a Perk facial? I really really want to, but I’m concerned about how my sensitive skin will handle it. And I just got my routine down so I’m nervous about throwing it off.
  5. I’m happy to see that Ramona’s love affair with pool noodles is still going strong.
  6. Undoubtedly it was set up as an “exclusive” for PR event for TomTom.
  7. I’m gonna take you all on a girls’ weekend to Solvang. SOLVANG, y’all. The place you stop when you’re heading up/down the coast. Grab a tub o’ butter cookies, buy some knee breeches, take a selfie in front of the Little Mermaid statue. Next stop, Pea Soup Andersen! Why on earth go there, and not Santa Barbara? I mean, no hate on Solvang, but it’s not really that... cool, and very un-VPR.
  8. Agreed! A few pages back, some of us talked about how a panic attack can mimic the first stages of anaphylaxis. I AM NOT SAYING SHE DOESN'T HAVE A REAL ISSUE, but that anxiety can be at play here.
  9. Never really thought about this much until recently, but I agree. She pretty much always looks stylish, appropriate for an occasion, and in clothes that fit. I get the impression that she’s not “trying” to look like anything except the best she can look.
  10. From what I know anecdotally, people seem to have them from birth OR pick them up later. I’ve personally never heard of anaphylactic reactions waxing and waning throughout the course of someone’s life. Back when I was a kid I heard about some allergies having a 7-year cycle, but I don’t know how true that is. Certainly not true for my tree nut allergy. There wasn’t as much research or attention to this when I was a kid. I *have* had food allergies go away—but they were for foods that gave me a rash or congestion, not anaphylaxis. Don’t screw around with anaphylaxis. Here’s what FARE (Food Allergy Resource and Education) has to say: Source I’ll say I’m grateful for organizations like FARE. And most countries are getting hip to allergy. I traveled to Israel a few years ago and was nervous because all that I read online was that people there had little understanding of allergy as it wasn’t all that prevalent. That info was about 2-5 years old at that point. But by the time I went, it seemed like most people got it and no one treated me like I was rude for declining food due to allergy (believe me, it happens). That’s a big shift for a culture in a short period of time.
  11. Of all the moments in both docs, this one really torqued me. Yes I think McFarlane is a creep and a fraud, but I felt that going in. And of course I was very sad for the Bahamians—going to look into legit ways to help, because I can’t stand knowing that they were just abused like that. But the “influencer”/Portrayer of Kelly Kapowski in the laughable Saved By the Bell “biopic” struck me as just as smug and entitled. Maybe not a fraud, but smug. She’s a living, breathing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and it really got to me.
  12. Ha! Yeah I knew someone who was called “Cindy* Allergic To Shellfish” because that’s basically how she introduced herself: “I’m Cindy. I’m allergic to shellfish.”
  13. And even if you like her on the show... it doesn’t really follow that you want to buy lip plumper called “DSL” or “Pat the Puss” body glitter, in general or just because it’s her. It’s an odd match for Too Faced fans too—it just doesn’t seem like something they’ll get excited over, either because of EJ or because of the colors and products. I love Too Faced but my favorite products have honestly been their peach foundation, Hangover primer, their matte liquid lipstick, and some of their eye shadows. They do neutral with a little sparkle really well—and lately they’ve done too much of this super sparkly stuff, in this kind of colorway. It’s a huge rollout and personally I think they should have kept up the Better Than Sex mascara spokesperson relationship and maybe released a lip kit or two. I’m sure it’s limited edition but still. All this said I still think she’s a good match with the brand! But this is A LOT.
  14. ...but it will be Expen$ive. (Not joking, it will totally be overpriced.) I don’t know who the audience for this will be. Peoples’ comments have not been positive.
  15. Knew this was coming... Even before she did the mascara ad I thought Too Faced was very Erika Jayne-ish.
  16. She’ll keep carping on this until she moves on to the next thing! ;)
  17. Don’t you mean something sounds... Fishy? I’ll show myself out...
  18. Had to laugh at this subreddit featuring a shot of Scheana’s fridge. She declares that she “loves having a full fridge” and it’s 98% liquid. My first thought was: Guess this shows how thirsty she is?
  19. Aside from the fact that I do know people who care about this who aren’t personally affected.... she certainly shouldn’t be making FALSE and/or uninformed statements about other life-threatening allergies to make her own sound more desperate. That COULD hurt people. There’s enough misunderstanding about allergy—we don’t need Bethenny adding her own misguided ideas to the pile. ETA: She’s not much of an advocate if she ignores dozens of people who try to correct her about the severity of other allergies.
  20. But usually her self-absorption doesn’t impact others’ lives and health (because you know some people will insist “Bethenny said it! It’s true!”), so this denial is next level. #NutACrisis
  21. Shoutout to Katie’s low-key Taco Bell sweatshirt. Also: Shoutout to the shot of Scheana’s “It’s all happening” tattoo in the middle of the Lala/Billie beef. On that note, I am reluctantly on Billie’s side *in that instance.* She seemed pretty low key at first, and Lala just got so dismissive and loud.
  22. Bethenny is now on a crusade to stop fish from being served on flights. I get it. It’s serious. But notice how she didn’t care until it was about her? She doesn’t seem to care about people who suffer from other Big-8 allergy... nope, it’s just all about Bethenny. She even claims that peanuts are NOT airborne—which is garbage, because a) I know for a fact they are, and b) my tree nut allergy is airborne too.
  23. That’s actually a cute photo of Ramona. ...but it is funny that there are four women next to her in the photo and four OTHER women tagged in the caption. And it almost works to think that Ramona mistook one lady for another. “Who’s on the right? She’s blonde, tall. and from BH... must be Teddi!” “Tall, short hair, jumpsuit—must be Lu!”
