I think that might be part of why they are filming 5.01 & 5.02 with block shooting. SA said something about lots of action scenes. Masks that we were told weren't shooting until 5.02 have already been filming (See EK's tweet about Fraturday shooting.)

I don't think you can make the assumption that they were shooting lair scenes. In season 2 there was a BTS pic of Paul Blackthorne, Ron Cross and I think EBR & SA in the lair. Quentin's 2nd scene in the lair was in 3.19. (His first was in S1.)

Probably shooting 5.01 & 5.02's action scenes together for the SDCC sizzle reel. They keep talking about "back to basics". This is their version of basics. It also explains why Bamford is directing both.

Very late to the party but I think it's interesting that he has no S4 favorite episodes not even 4.08 when he got to shoot scenes with the kid. His last favorite is 3.09.

What's funny is he rarely mentioned his wife until after he got that permanent residency. Since then it's been wife this, wife that. July 3 We get the Asia Strek mess. July 4 We get the I'm the best dad in the world FB post which brings some criticism of the wife instead of simply yeah you're a wonderful dad. Mavi is so lucky. (I do believe his daughter is probably the most important thing in the world to him. That's sincere.) July 5 We get a BTS picture of the "family" when people were asking for cast BTS. Not all replies are wow you are wonderful. July 6 His account which has 1.4 million followers calls out a troll account (FakeMarried) with 3 or 4 followers. Lots of followers pile on. July 7 ETCanada and JustJared cover the ruckus. Was someone in need of attention? I think SA's heart is in the right place often. That said, there are two things I keep in mind regarding SA. 1) He once made a living selling insurance. 2) He originally got into acting because he wanted to be famous.

I figured the loss of PT was temporary - just to set up the caper in 4.22 - when Diggle said something along the lines of getting the company back and she said if not she was open to revenge plans. Regarding SA and trolling at HVFF. He said Oliver and Felicity are not together but marriage IS on Oliver's mind. He also mentioned loving Nyssa and Katrina Law and joking about coming home to her making pasta or pancakes. My 1st thought was "Flashpoint" was going to affect Arrow and O&F were never together romantically. Thus the description of their relationship in S2 as the S5 status. Oliver and Nyssa try to make a go of their LOA marriage. Felicity's boyfriend is Ray Palmer. (Might explain his "No Comment" regarding if anyone from LOT would be in the premiere.) Barry isn't the Flash so no one from Arrow is affected by Vandal Savage. The Legend's team never materializes. IIRC, LOT and SG both start production a week after Arrow & Flash and premiere a week later too. This would allow some of their characters to be on Arrow and/or Flash. SG and/or LOT helps Barry to see the error of his ways. By the end of Arrow 5.1 everything is back to normal for both shows. Major crossover with 4 shows is done! My 2nd thought was they are going to address the Al-Sahim/Nyssa marriage. Reporter is coming from afar to investigate the former playboy turned mayor. Why? Maybe she's heard rumors. Green Arrow, Bratva connections, child out-of-wedlock, marriage? It's certainly not like Nyssa wasn't running all over Star City screaming husband through out S4. Oliver addressed her as wife under the LOA as his right to fight for her against Malcolm. Maybe LOA members gossip when they have nothing better to do. Lucky for me I am wrong 99.99% of the time.

I'm not surprised by the photo placement. The four of them were on the show before EBR showed up. Now if pictures of EK and/or JS come before EBR then I'll start wondering.

Maybe ARGUS/the government gives Felicity a written pass. "Please excuse Felicity's absence from Palmer Tech. She was helping us save the world from nuclear destruction." xoxo POTUS How could the board refuse to reinstate her? I guess she could have started her own company with Curtis's help as revenge using her PT stock as collateral.

Assuming O & F get back together some time this season the character could be a catalyst for O/F instead of a LI for Oliver. The way it was set up in S4, Felicity walking out and refusing all Oliver's attempts at talking/explaining is as much to blame for the break up as Oliver's lie. Oliver made his attempt in 4.16. I think if O&F reconcile Felicity will have to make the 1st move. What better way to do that then to realize he could be moving on? He wouldn't have to be it could just look like he is. Between being vigilantes, Oliver being interim mayor and then running for election, and Felicity trying to get Palmer Tech back (or start her own company, or whatever) neither one has probably had much time to think about their personal lives during the show's hiatus.

I think they are surface similarities. I know the DA is supposed to be the mayor's ally but isn't this character also supposed to be Green Arrow's adversary? The one who could shake your hand as a friend or break your neck and enjoy doing it? I think his comic name - Vigilante - is making people assume he is a good guy and joining the team. My guess is he goes overboard with avenging "his" tragedy which will put him at odds with Green Arrow. Neither one of them will know the other's identity until very late in the season -callback to Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer in S1. Did I misread the TV Line article?

The missed opportunity would have been Felicity and Laurel discussing their parents dating.

I don't know if I really believe either SA or DR are Olicity shippers. SA MIGHT prefer Olicity to Lauliver because of the actresses and how they approach scenes. KC has her own ideas and doesn't want anything to influence them whereas EBR is willing to give & take. They are attending fan events and in the early going they were getting a lot of Olicity questions. SA was getting them in late S1. Anyway, they could have just blown off the questions but chose to engage with the fans anyway. As for Emily, one of the things I appreciate most about her is that her main focus is Felicity. I think that's why Palmer Tech is important to her. Unless Ray comes back that story line is hers.

Guess we'll find out soon because the Paris con with EBR, KC, DR & WH is this weekend IIRC. There are only 10 guests total.

I assume the moderator was referring to Felicity as irritating but he actually made that remark right after KC said Emily was a good soul and she loved her. She started to say something else when the moderator put in his .02 I don't see KC as being unprofessional. The moderator put her in an awkward position with his remarks. The crowd was reacting favorably to what he said. I think she was attempting humor with the "Bitch stole my man, it's fine." remark. (Not her strong suit.) She was playing to her audience.

I think the problem with the flashbacks is the keep trying to tie them into the present instead of just progressing his fall down the rabbit whole. It worked well in S2 but that was because the Oliver/Slade relationship had been established in S1. S3 the only real dark choice was torturing the general. I am not sure there was even a dark choice in S4. Killing Poppy was a version of "for the greater good." He spent most of the time trying to save her and everyone else. It seems like they have a lot of ground to cover in S5 to get him to pilot Oliver which seems like more time needs to be spent on flashbacks. :-( (Don't want!)

Oliver's speech also inspired all his teammates who had been feeling hopeless too. I think it was supposed to have energized them to keep up the fight.

Anyone stop to consider that although Green Arrow gets married in the comics that maybe the writers aren't planning that outcome in the show or at least not before the final season?

He may just be in the negotiating stages but I hope he's not a regular. JB's great but I am over Malcolm.

I am glad for GA/BC comic readers. I hope they continue to get what they want in the comics. That said, is it too soon to point out that 100K/2m = 5%?

The ex marine vigilante could be flashback as well as present day. He could be where Oliver got the idea of righting his family's wrongs as a vigilante came from. He also could be responsible for Oliver's hand-to-hand combat skills. Becoming a Bratva captain makes more sense to me if he is already a force to be reckoned with when he comes across them. Amanda might not be so keen on dropping Oliver off in Russia. She was hoping he would continue doing jobs for her/ARGUS. She expected to be on his "list" when he showed up at ARGUS in 2.16. Guy could then show up in present day to cause problems for Mayor Queen and Star City. Someone who knows his secret.
