It's possible he and Emily aren't filming together. She's with Curtis, Cisco, etc. He's with masks. She could be doing scenes on Flash while he's shooting Arrow.

Wonder if this was part of the negotiations with KC's representatives. She was supposed to be THE Love Interest. Give it to her or we'll sue for contract violations. Ha! I am beginning to think BTS stuff might explain a lot of things.

The quote was the last straw for many and even some very positive people started tweeting TPTB. Then all the actors started tweeting randomly at the same time. This sorta happened during the premiere too. There was a tweet directed at PR about wondering if EBR was unhappy as she hadn't tweeted anything about the premiere. Within minutes of that tweet both EBR and DR tweeted about it. Coincidence? CW_Arrow might not be promoting much but they appear to be monitoring. If anyone cares the Billy Joel song for 5.05 is "The Stranger". The one for the season for both Arrow & Olicity is "Getting Closer."

I am actually okay with Oliver & Felicity not getting back together until the end of the season or even early S6. I just don't care to watch them with other love interests. (I know it's the CW.) They have enough going on that it seems like they could just take baby steps back in that direction without involving 3rd parties.
-
Hmm..if they are not rebuilding Olicity anytime soon they might want to instruct SA & EBR to "act" differently in scenes. I wouldn't say I watch the show simply because of Olicity but the Oliver and Felicity relationship gave me something to care about after they took the Oliver/Felicity/Diggle dynamic from me. :( I need something to care about if I'm going to sit through badly executed storylines. I have to wonder if the "Felicity as mass murderer" storyline is because we are going to see it more from Rory Regan/Ragman's POV. (Sorry, I'm feeling a little bitter.)

I was afraid we were getting the S1 romantic arc. 5.05 Oliver gets clarity when he sees Felicity kissing boyfriend. He does something which changes reporter's view of him. He and reporter date. Then we get the "Tina" casting call. Further delay a reunion until end of season unless lightning strikes twice and then not reunite at all.

MG is on TUMBLR. Damage control?
-
Yeah. Oliver moving on isn't something that should have been advertised as the Oliciest episode so far.

Just to clarify, when I said EBR cameo I meant at Smoak Technologies in the AU not in the episode. I think more time would be given to Queens/Lances/Merlyns. Those were the 3 families the show was originally supposed to be about.

5.08 "The Love Letter" Based on pics we've seen, in the AU (timeline or earth) Felicity will have established Smoak Technologies. EBR cameo probably. No idea what they are doing with Diggle in the episode. If the rumors are true, although the source is unproven, we may be getting a rehearsal dinner and wedding for Laurel Lance and someone. This gives KC her dream "Love Interest" role she feels was wrongly taken from her. KC is posing in that picture with the ring hand showing on purpose would be my guess. Colin Donnell is unavailable due to filming Chicago Med but they think they have a way to get him in. I wonder if they are using the same technology that they used for the Human Target episode. If it worked well in 5.05 they might be doing the same thing with Tommy. Wil Traval did tweet that he was back in Vancouver (could be totally unrelated) and could certainly double for Tommy with the help of technology. I think marrying Oliver is the most likely scenario (love of Laurel's life and all that) but if Thea and Oliver are "looking in" on the happenings could they actually be part of them? Does Thea wanting to stay make sense if Thea is alive and well there? Do they become "them"? I am unfamiliar with how this works so I may be way off base. I haven't watched Flash since S1 except for crossovers so I haven't seen any E2 episodes.

Felicity didn't seem fazed by dismantling the 4 bombs when Oliver was fighting Anarky. When the cops went in to rescue the 3 hostages and take down Tobias Church she was almost panic stricken with the "I can't stop it" and moved from her computers pretty quickly. Should I read anything into it or is it just the difference in the situations? I'm not used to seeing Felicity alarmed. She was never anything but cool under pressure in 1x23.

Detective Malone: 5.01 Introduced with Capt Pike/Informs Pike Lance is back in town/Felicity Boyfriend Reveal 5.02 Replaces Lt. Conahan (Mr.Poppy) on ACI so is now working directly with Mayor's Office (Guessing) So does witnessing the kiss happen in 5.03 or 5.05? Oliver is out of the country in 5.04. Reporter shows up in 5.03 then again in 5.05. Like the boyfriend reveal in 5.01 I'd just like to get this witnessed kiss out of the way. I think it's all about Oliver anyway and not really about Felicity.

His first kill was as Oliver not Green Arrow. "No one can know my secret." If anyone wants to rewatch I downloaded the CWapp and it works much better than the previous versions. There were commercials but they were limited compared to watching live. I don't know if you can fast forward though. I didn't try..

Yeah I was thinking bathrobe with either white tank or t-shirt underneath. The only thing sparkly were her earrings.
-
Earth 2 Oliver's? Tommy's so they can use pictures of Colin Donnell since he couldn't appear due to his schedule?
-
According to her IMDB page Carly Pope is in eps 3, 5, 6 & 7.

So in the Felicity hesitates sending out the newbies scenario the baby vigilantes represent Havenrock, Star City represents Monument Point, and Tobias Church & friends represent the nuclear missiles. Is that correct or am I now overthinking? 5.02 & 5.03 could show just how green the newbies are. Or is it that she's just cracking which is resulting in such behavior? I was thinking more the disagreeing with Oliver & Lyla because they are more whatever it takes to get the job done via the Amanda Waller school of thought.
-
I know what you mean but we're in season 5 not 3. :-)
-
Maybe she objects to the situation with Diggle, Lyla and Oliver because it might require her to make a decision similar to the one that resulted in the Havenrock tragedy. Am I expecting this arc to be written well? No. Storytelling is not this show 's strength. Look at how they write Oliver. He regresses more than progresses. She is getting an arc. Would beating up random guys work better? How about abusing drugs or alcohol? Sobbing in her pillow every night? That would certainly change people's minds about her. If she fails at running the team I would be more concerned that whatever new thing she does in 5B would be outside the team. If her story is outside the team we are looking at reduced screen time which doesn't work for me.
-
So, Felicity is being positioned in 5A to do something new "for her" sometime in 5B that has nothing to do with her relationship with Oliver or her mother or father. She's going to organize and run her own network for wayward vigilantes? In 5.01 she's recruiting and in 5.04 she's possibly deploying. Is she going to train them too?! LOL!
-
My concern with 5.04 is if Felicity starts to crack who is going to be there for her - Lance, Curtis, Detective Malone (Will he have a first name by then? LOL), Rory Regan. Both Oliver and Diggle will be in Chechnya. This is the episode BFS said to watch about the offensive "mass murders" language. Yay Lyla!

Until proven otherwise-next week maybe-I'm going with Felicity is in denial about Havenrock. She was too happy at the end of last season when it was OTA in the bunker prior to the Diggle/Oliver conversation. She was happy in the bunker last night. She seemed tired and sad when she entered the loft and only roused herself when she realized she wasn't alone. She needs to break before she can start to heal. I don't think she has allowed herself to do that.
-
I didn't explain myself very well apparently which happens often. :-) As far as accepting that things aren't going back to what they were: It's never just going to be OTA again. The team is going to expand (and maybe contract) which has been happening the last two seasons even if it's not always in a good way. I don't mind new members. I just need it to feel like a team and not a bunch of trick-or-treaters out for a midnight stroll. I want characters who have relationships to not be written as almost complete strangers. It doesn't require anything major. They can interact with newbies. My main issue isn't whether or not Olicity are together romantically. As long as SA and EBR are sharing scenes I am good. I know they are writing them as ambiguous right now and 5.05 will provide "clarity". My guess is they will do an onscreen rebuild over the course of the season. (I have no interest in a replay of Oliver's S1 romantic arc no matter how normal it might be for TV.) I thought it was a way of saying maybe not to encourage both sides to keep watching. I was amused by how they appeared to be saying that viewers need to just accept that this is how things are going to be.
-
5.01 Dialogue as a meta statement for the season. Oliver: I need to accept that things aren't going to go back to the way they used to be. Diggle: Does that include you and Felicity? Oliver: I don't know. I think the writers (GB/MG/WM) are trying to tell us something. No GA/BC. No OTA. Maybe no Olicity?

Not sure what the Thea MVP stuff was about either. Different strokes for different folks.
