I think that's my problem with all the DC shows. I never feel any sense of danger or urgency. They are too busy trying to look cool.

lordmesa said GB commissioned it. I wonder if he told him specifically what characters to use or if it was just heroes on one side and villains on the other. I am sure he had to specify the EPs, director, Pedowitz, etc. I also wonder about the design with OTA in the middle. I assumed the guy in the front was Tommy Merlyn. Another thought (especially because of location) maybe it's Barry Allen. Arrow launched him even though he became The Flash (costume) on his own program. Ray is in the ATOM suit because he became that alter ego on Arrow. LOL!

Ha! SA made a point of saying 5 episodes not 5 shows. He even held up his hand (maybe to help him count?!)

They probably have but aren't announcing it yet. They are shooting 5.09 now and we think she's showing up in 5.11 so an announcement should be coming soon.

Not sure where to put this, but SA mentioned in his FB live video that in the last 5 weeks he has shot 5 crossover episodes. 3 would be Flash 3.08, Arrow 5.08, & Legends 2.07 (?). Not sure if he is going to SuperGirl at all. Wonder if the other 2 are him on other shows or someone crossing over to Arrow.

Tommy Merlyn. As for David Nutter I just assumed because he directed the pilot that landed the series. Seems like they went with the original EPs-GB, AK & WM.

All of this will probably happen but among the rubble there will probably be something miniscule to give the Olicity fandom hope.

I love your scenario. I'm just feeling a bit cynical with a dash of amusement. This is a soap opera!

The clarity is probably on Oliver's part only. He's the only one really suffering from ambiguity. Felicity is dating someone. If they are planning on putting him in a relationship with canary so they can have sex in Feb sweeps then Felicity and Mayo might not break up. I don't think she'll have multiple LIs. Mayo keeps her on the sidelines and out of the game sort of like Tommy/Laurel/Oliver. (I really didn't want this romantic arc but here we are.) This isn't even about Felicity. It's to cause tension for Oliver since the ACU reports directly to the Mayor's office. Shades of Tommy running Oliver's nightclub. Guess it will give Quentin something to do too. I guess if Human Target gets shot as Oliver, Felicity might realize she's not over him but then sees him with reporter so doesn't break up with Mayo.

Reporter becomes a fanboy in 5.05 so I am thinking she's more antagonistic in 5.03. If he saves her life by pushing her in a car out of harms way that might do it. (Stunt SA talked about at Edmonton Expo)

I kept reading elsewhere he hasn't been seen in Van City since 5.03. We need better sources. :-)

Any chance he's Prometheus? Don't know the source but according to Twitter he's filming 5.09.

Maybe Cody Rhodes will bring in some eyeballs next week.

I thought the dramatic exit was the timeline healing itself from the mess that was 4.08. It was never addressed that way in show though.

MG said when he uses that term he is referring to their romantic relationship- past, present, or potential future. In their eyes nothing about 5.02 was considered romantic.

Detective Malone so far has been nothing more than a "Look. Felicity has a boyfriend and it's not Oliver" character. He happens to be a cop who knows nothing about Felicity's real life. The EPs have said he's like Quentin but a little more friendly/welcoming to the vigilantes. Malone is in the stills for 5.03 with his hands in the air displaying his badge. I am wondering if this is an encounter with Green Arrow & Co. (Could be crooked cops but...). Anyway this makes me wonder if when Oliver sees Felicity kissing him (which is how I figure he finds out) if Oliver doesn't encourage Felicity to tell him the truth about what she does. You know, relationships should be built on trust, etc. This would be more surprising than him just moving on. (He will but that's another story.) The cop of course isn't going to be too upset. The story doesn't require him to be. I was originally thinking he was going to cause problems for Oliver/Green Arrow but maybe he's just going to provide "growth" while keeping Felicity sidelined in case they need to double back to her for the love interest role. At the moment they are still talking about reconciling Olicity at some point in the future but maybe not this season. I think that's the long game but if new canary works it may be over.

He did start following Candy Washington as well as the Ellen whomever. (Too lazy to go back and look.)

I wonder if the show is going to do it's normal thing and reveal Prometheus's plan and identity in 5.09 "What We Leave Behind"?

Seems like Wild Dog is "truest" to the comics rendition from articles I have read. If they are keeping them all I would guess they are trying to change it into an ensemble show for S6. Oliver might not be that old but SA isn't getting any younger. Honestly, I wondered if they were just their hedging their bets because of BTS stuff. How many years does David Ramsay have on his contract? After 5 years he has to be getting expensive, relatively speaking. He thought he might have been in the grave last year. AND Diggle doesn't have a mask/costume. He has identity concealment. I think the possible LI we thought might be for him was because she is an ex-marine. If "Tina" is canary and it is the Spartacus actress D Rapapport started following (Ellen someone) then I am sure she is a LI, temporary or otherwise, for Oliver. We were in denial. LOL! Until I see something different on my screen, I will just assume WM's "not necessarily reconciling them this year" regarding Olicity is fact.

There was speculation earlier about who Felicity was kissing in that promo Human Target or Det Mayo. One of the arguments for HT was that although Felicity looked like she was into the kiss the male didn't appear to be. One hand was on her waist almost holding her away. The other was just hanging there. After last night's scene I can clearly see it being the detective. Ritter isn't giving Emily anything to work with whereas she and SA just sort of went with it.

Yeah. That's concerning. They also wrote 4.19. It's enough to offset my excitement that Antonio is directing.

The more I see of Curtis the less I like him. That said, in his defense, he was one of the recruits. Oliver's actions/behavior affected him directly. He has gotten through to Oliver before (4.23 IIRC) with the speech about inspiring him to stay in Star City. He also has been working with him for 6 months maybe. The other recruits days. Several times in S4 Felicity had her voice taken from her. Someone told her what she felt. I resented that. So I am fine in this instance with Curtis getting to voice his thoughts feelings.
