  1. Wow..that's a lot of hair maintenance. But It's an adorable look on him, imo. (And I usually can't stand boys with long hair)
  2. I just love Delores..she seems to have a very kind heart. I do think they were planning on her moving into the guest house as soon as they were planning the show They probably hust made it seem sudden for the drama factor.
  3. I am learning so much about autism on this show. I think R.J. Is the sweetest kid ever. I love how he snuggles with his grandmother even though he's 18 now. I do wonder if he'll ever be able to live completely independently.I think he's too sweet and naive and someone would take advantage of that. He wants to get a drivers license, I wonder if he can?
  4. Oh, and I forgot....when she asked them "what is in your futures?" They mentioned getting the married "kids" situated, and that Molly was graduating, and they wanted to make sure SHE was situated...but never said diddly-boo about Jacob! Weird, to me, I tell you. (Maybe he asked them not to talk about him..who knows?)
  5. OMGosh I want to smack the interviewer! How many times and how many ways can she ask them if there's "still a chance for them to get back together?!" I really think they both did well not to just tell her to shut up about it already!
  6. http://www.sheknows.com/entertainment/articles/1121215/is-val-chmerkovskiy-a-candidate-to-host-live?utm_source=SheKnowsDaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20160510&utm_term=SKDailySubscribersFinal&utm_content=6694265 It's not that Chmerkovskiy is a terrible choice for the job, necessarily. There are just so many better candidates. Chmerkovskiy definitely has a loyal following of fans and plenty of recognition. But we're not sure he has the personality to be a host on a show like Live! Chmerkovskiy can come off as a little bit arrogant to some, and especially when he's following in the footsteps of a natural host like Strahan, we can't help but wonder if those shoes are a little too big for Chmerkovskiy to fill — or, at least, fill as well as another celeb could.
  7. It didn't say. I guess I assumed it started gradually..you know, like you're like, huh, that's not like dad. (Now I wonder too)
  8. Reminds me of my husband's family's land in Puerto Rico. For miles around...there are NO flat surfaces anywhere. Except for places like that cement court that was probably professionally chisled out of the rocky land (like for a school.) It's probably the only practical place they can play where they won't be tripping over embedded rocks, and losing the soccer ball/futbal when someone kicks it and it rolls down a hill, down into the dense tropical undergrowth..never to be found again. Yep..my kids lost many, many balls that way when we went to visit. But OUCH to the scrapes they must get!
  9. But they never said they wanted to adopt a BROWN baby, did they? Maybe I'm off base, but I see them wanting a white baby..just a feeling I get. OT, but I'm white and my husband is Puerto Rican, we've been married 47 years and have 13 grands in many various (beautiful) shades. You have to be up for the questions if you're white and your kid is not. (No, I'm not babysitting, these are MY kids) I honestly don't think Jill (in particular) would handle those questions tactfully. Again, just a gut feeling I have (with probably no basis in fact whatsoever) ;-)
  10. But how did YOU not have the "@" in front of my bolded name ? :)
  11. From the article above that @HalcyonDays posted: "She came from soaps. He came from sports. Together, they were a zingy, unanticipated flavor combination that culminated on Sunday night with a Daytime Emmy win as Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Hosts. The idea of Ripa’s permanent on-air partner being someone who travels in the same circles, who knows all her anecdotes (and vice versa), removes the element of surprise from those opening 20 minutes of chit-chat that makes Live such an indispensable morning staple. What’s more, where’s the fun of Live spending the summer searching out newbies alongside Ripa only to go with somebody who’s already in her iPhone contacts under “Favorites”? By casting its net wide and weird, Live can generate some positive summer buzz, help to erase memories of its “national nightmare” interlude and give its audience the joy of watching a daytime star hatch in front of its very eyes. Your turn. Should Live cast someone in Kelly’s circle as her co-host? Or do you agree that it’s time for the show to take another road less traveled?" Ps how do you get rid of the @ Symbol in front of someone's bolded name?
  12. http://www.sheknows.com/entertainment/articles/1120285/mario-lopez-co-host-live-with-kelly-ripa?utm_source=SheKnowsDaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20160503&utm_term=SKDailySubscribersFinal&utm_content=6640390 Not so fast, however. Lopez isn't the only charismatic male TV star who adores Ripa and would kill for the job. Alfonso Ribeiro reportedly already volunteered to relocate from Los Angeles to New York City if producers thought he was a good fit for Live! And Anderson Cooper, one of Ripa's BFFs, had nothing but lovely things to say about the opportunity to work with her. "Kelly is the heart and soul of that show, and it's going to go on and continue to be great, and I wish Michael the best in his new endeavor," the 60 Minutes correspondent and CNN anchor said onWatch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "Look, I'm very happy at CNN. It would be a dream to work with Kelly, but nobody's offering anything, so..."
  13. I just keep telling myself "patience...take a deep breath and just have patience!" LOL Ps I know the older I get the less patience I have for any kind of changes..
  14. Right now I'm reading a book about brain injuries and diseases and what the side effects can be. (Rebooting My Brain: How a freak Aneurysm Reframed My Life) The above quote made me think a part in this book. Short and sweet, a guy's nice personality changed radically out of the blue. Became an alcoholic, beat his kids and wife. Totally not like his old self. Ten years later, he finally went for a head scan and they found an old brain injury from when he had fallen off of a ladder. Unfortunately, it was one of those "I'm fine, I'll shake it off" moments that led to catastrophic results when it didn't have to. (Just found this forum,I know this was from way back) Just saying, wonder if something happened to change your friend in the last ten years?
  15. This is Duggar-like logic..and made me laugh: "Probably the most dangerous enemy of the Church is nipples. Not male nipples, but the lady kind, which are sinful." bwahaha!! http://matthewepierce.com/nipple-sin-a-primer/
  16. My 47 year old daughter Rebecca, (who we've always called Becky) was dying laughing when I read her the description GiveMeSpace wrote. Neither of us had heard of that before. Who says The View isn't educational occasionally? ;-)
  17. Whoopi loves the comedian Louie CK..So does Nikolaj. Louie CK cracks me up. Guess a stopped clock is right two times a day. I used to love Whoopi, but her stint on the view makes me cringe at her .
  18. Slightly OT, but this is the 2nd book (The Giver) mentioned in these forums (by ChurchHoney this time) that I'd like to read (first one being the origins of Branson, mentioned by Mollie in S02.E06: Girls Hit the Road) I had NO idea of the history of Branson. Both books are available at my (online) library. I'm kind of scared to read The Giver, because it's described as dystopian, and those usually scare the crap out of me and give me nightmares. But shoot, if the Duggar kids have to LIVE that life, maybe I can be brave enough to read about it. I do really feel SO sorry for children brought up in this cult...and I want to understand how and why it happens. PS can't figure out what I'm doing wrong quote wise.
  19. I used to suffer tremendously from spring and fall allergies. The last 2 years I've been able to control them (by a lot) by taking the prescription Singulair tablet (generic works fine). That, and I take Allegra or Claritin (generic) every day before I know the season is going to hit me. I find if I let it get started,I just can't get it to stop, so now I treat it ahead of time, for SURE. I haven't suffered as I did before, uncontrollable sneezing, itchy eyes, etc. Btw...I take allegra until I can tell my body is getting used to it and the allergies are sneaking back up, and then I switch to Claritin for awhile until the same thing happens and I switch back to the allegra (rinse and repeat). Sorry for the long post, but hopefully it can help even one fellow allergy sufferer.
  20. I wonder if the same commercials air everywhere this show is aired (probably not?) But one on the show here in the Chicago area made me laugh, because it was for a hair STRAIGHTENING appliance, and how to get rid of your curls. Oh the irony.
  21. Thanks, but I was referring to the one Boob was "dancing"to. :) I wondered if it was Christian Rap.
  22. Does anyone know where to find a transcript of what the words were in that rap? I didn't understand 99% of it. I'm getting up there in age, my hearing isn't what it used to be..but then again I could never understand words in rap songs when I was younger either, so it's probably just me :)
  23. Just watched the beginning of today's show, and it did say "recorded earlier." Remains to be seen if the rest of the week will be live.
  24. Well, dang, that was easy....thanks! I'm especially looking forward to watching them because I think they're usually a Whoopi free zone. She bugs.
  25. I think Whoopi was in just one of them..where her daughter Alex talked about having to share her mother with the world when she was just ten, when Whoopi got really famous.
