  1. The glossing over of this really bothers me. You have to show things as they were. And frankly, pretending she was an adult is lying to cover up the reality of what happened.
  2. This was a boring episode. Reggie just isn't unlikable enough for him to be the villainous jerk from the comics that everyone hates. But Veronica sure is. Damn, whatever they've done to her, she is just wretched now. I find myself always rooting against her no matter what she's doing or what she wants. Were we seriously supposed to be rooting for them to invade somebody's mind and just erase his memory? Really? And really, Jughead? You just never liked Reggie but have no problem with Veronica casually admitting she murdered her dad?
  3. I can't stand Ava's lecturing ass. Who the hell is she as an all knowing 25-year-old (yeah right) to be all dispensing her wisdom about sexuality to someone Deborah's age? I don't like it when Deborah's being a bully but she should have yelled at her there.
  4. Only the possibility that they may want to go ahead and do a storyline (even if just the one time on this show) that at least goes hard for the original comics triangle, since it was basically one of the things that defined it. I could see them doing that for like, 3 episodes or something.
  5. Also this whole season's very likely to be somebody's dream in the end, I think. The weird random flashes to the other universe are still occurring, so that means something. Even if it turns out to be something stupid.
  6. It's funny that the town coroner seems to act as everyone's personal physician. He is the coroner, isn't he?
  7. "We want you to have your 'main character' energy back?" Wow, what a way to shade your own writing, show. So, I guess what I'm getting is that the show couldn't figure out how to pair Veronica with Reggie without sidelining her as a character somehow, and so they split them up in order to have her interact with the mains again? I don't quite understand that. Pairing Jughead with newbie Tabitha has hardly sidelined him from the other characters in any way. Not that it matters. This episode clearly reintroduced both Betty/Jughead and Archie/Veronica so I guess it's only a matter of time until we're headed down that road again. Senselessly. I've never been more convinced that Archie and Veronica in particular simply do not belong together or have anything in common.
  8. So Reggie and Veronica broke up amicably last week and then all of sudden this week they're at each other's throats? Is it me or have they turned Veronica into a really unlikable character now? Reggie was right, she doesn't even care about people getting killed around her (so long Heraldo), so he probably should bail. I didn't understand why Reggie actually having his old book made Percival realize that he's prime fodder to get him on his side. So still having the book you stole years ago means you're a worse person than taking it and losing it? What?
  9. Wow, this episode tonight made me feel ill. I'm in just as much shock as Rachel is.
  10. Man, the show really doesn't like Veronica and Reggie together. I wonder what's behind their total unwillingness to let them have a real shot, twice over now. Reggie is the hottest guy on the show by far and I like looking at him- I feel like if he and Veronica aren't together we won't see much of him, since he's never had another love interest. Meanwhile doubling down on Betty and Archie (at least on his end, I can't quite tell if she's really into it or not). Tabitha and Jughead are super bland and dull, so that breakup will be a loss to no one. I actually prefer Toni and Fangs together, and that's the one couple I suspect may wind up the permanently changed avenue? Because I can't see Toni and Cheryl getting back together ever, or him and Kevin. And they probably shouldn't? They have Moose for Kevin if they want and Cheryl's storylines are so wacky she doesn't need a romance imo.
  11. They didn't even finish the Christie storyline? Wth kind of finale is that?
  12. Not a woman. A mom with young kids. You have other priorities when you have a family like that.
  13. Poor Kevin. Destined to be a mindless, manipulated stooge in every era. And yeah, I'm pretty sure they'll all get powers of some sort.
  14. I kind of agree, but I tend to give the show slack in that department because I assume this is the workload Sam can manage while still being a mom to four young kids. I mean, obviously I don't KNOW that that's the reason for the small amount of content and constant breaks, but I'm guessing it probably is?
  15. Cole Sprouse's delivery of his "i'm an angel" exposition was hilarious.

    The Batman (2022)

This was by far the dumbest Batman ever put on screen. He and Gordon were so stupid, like the two stooges, bumbling around not figuring anything out, failing to stop or solve or prevent anything. World's greatest detective my ass.
  17. I like how they have to have Betty randomly wearing sunglasses the first three minutes we see her to remind us of her "power" just so that she doesn't have to wear them at all the rest of the episode no matter what the lighting/weather is.
  18. He said he would never wear a suit again and now he's back in the suit. He revitalized the entire show during the pandemic and now he's back to the pale imitation of predecessors that he was before. I don't get it.
  19. Sucks to see Reggie and Veronica break up in such a lame manner.
  20. This skits are so, so bad. Unfunny.
  21. What a bizarre way this whole thing is rolling out. Why would they have rotating hosts for "The Rachel Maddow Show" the rest of the week if she's only going to be on one night? Why not just make a new show in that slot? So strange. MSNBC is clearly desperate to keep her around to be agreeing to all this fluctuation, but she could probably do a weekly show on another network.
  22. Wait, how many episodes are in this season? I thought it was 13, but if the finale's not until June 21st that makes no sense.
  23. Is this why he's barely talked about the incident? I have to admit I was disappointed, I wanted to hear what he had to say about it more.
  24. They were never going to take the award away. And I don't think they should, it was voted on. But I do think they need to do SOMETHING to make up for their lack of action in the moment. They wouldn't have to if they had simply acted immediately and had him removed from the building and not been allowed to accept his award because he attacked someone at the ceremony. But they let him sit there, make a speech and be applauded by a room full of people too uncomfortable to do anything else. That never should have happened. Revoking his membership is fair- I mean it's not like that's a huge punishment. It just means he can't vote on the awards and he won't get screeners. Boo-hoo. I guess the embarrassment of being "kicked out of the Academy" would be the worst thing about it. And not invite him back next year to present.
  25. I still do not believe that Hiram's dead. They're trying to make us buy it but his death took place entirely off screen and Veronica said nothing to Reggie's question about its authenticity besides "I'm sure he's dead." Okay? He'll be gone for a while and come back in the season finale is my prediction. I agree the new couples really have no chemistry. Betty/Archie are super blah, Jughead and Tabitha are worse. I think Reggie and Veronica are the exception in that they actually fit- they look great together and seem attracted to each other at least. The supernatural stuff is weird but honestly no weirder than most stuff on this show.
