  1. I thought it was inappropriate for Kathy to tell Carrie not to hurt Aiden, and to tell her not to write about her kids. Carrie and Aiden are none of her business.
  2. Is it weird that Charlotte is this okay with Lily sleeping with multiple boys already? This casually? I don't know, I feel like she ought to have given at least a little more guidance about it, she's only 16, right?
  3. Wow. That is one deeply insecure, pathetic man. What a baby. Also I love how he cites the word of a woman way too young for him, telling him what he wants to hear, as if that’s not proving the movie’s point, LMFAO
  4. Why would they skip a week right before the finale? Terrible timing for that.
  5. What's weird is that it also says she goes back to her friends their senior year, with their memories restored. WTH does that mean? Their memories from when exactly? And so it's their senior year in the 50's but they all have their memories, so they know they're not really teens anymore and are all wondering why they're in the 50's? Or are we going back to their original senior year that we saw in Season 4? But with their memories restored from the events that happened after that? I do not get that description at all.
  6. I don't know how I feel about Jimmy knowing too. I believe this is the first version of him that knows Clark is Superman, but now what's the point of his secret identity if they both know? I just feel like Superman AND Clark Kent are crucial in Superman lore, and the secret identity is more important to his story than it might be to other superheroes. We'll see how they do this, I guess.
  7. Hard for me to believe Carrie and Aidan are already happily ever after, if they intend for the show to keep going for now. Seems like it's moving too fast and it's likely they'd want Carrie single and dating for a while, right? Given the show's premise? I'm suspicious of the speed and seriousness of their reunion, I expect another split.
  8. I feel like the sooner Lois finds out the truth, the less right she has to be mad at him. I mean, should he really be forced to tell someone he's only known for a few months (if that) this GIGANTIC secret that defines his whole life and changes everything when you know it? I can see Lois being angry if it's been years of being partners with him, or dating him even, but this Lois shouldn't really be so mad at this point. Imo.
  9. The children factor is a good thing to bring up if the show had ever had the guts to state outright that Carrie never wanted kids. But they haven't, have they? When the russian guy brought it up in Season 6 she said she always thought she might, but everything we've ever seen has told us that she never had any interest or desire to be a mother. And that's fine. I just wish they could have her say it out loud. There's still some sort of shame factor regarding women in our society who never have kids, or worse, never want kids. Carrie is one of those women but she hasn't said it.
  10. So the description of the series finale is out. Says we catch up with 86-year-old Betty in the present day and she wants to remember the last day of her senior year with her friends. So...this sounds like we're catching up with 86-year-old Betty aged up from her 50's self. And then flashing back to the 50's again? TV Line was making it sound like we're going back to present day Riverdale but that sure doesn't sound like it to me.
  11. It'd be kind of hilarious if this happened and I honestly wouldn't completely rule it out, given everything that we've watched for the past two years. and i do find it curious that cole and lili were the ones filming the last scenes of the show, that's got to mean something. after ignoring betty/jughead for the past two seasons completely, would they come back to them in the final episode? or final scene, even? I have always thought it extremely strange that they abandoned that couple so much given how important they were to the show for the first four seasons. That's too long to give up a show's central couple, unless a cast member leaves the series or something. So maybe the plan was to come back to them at the very, very end. Would still be really weird and not satisfying though.
  12. Something that's bothering me now is that it seems they've completely given up on making their actors do American accents. Aren't Denny and Rachel supposed to be American? And Daniel Morgan? They all sound extremely British
  13. They seem to be speeding up this storyline quite a bit, which is good I guess if they plan to get through it all. I mean, from this point on Roger is wandering through time periods on his own and doesn't even reunite with Bree and the kids until the very end of Book 8. Maybe they're gonna just really power through all of that. I don't mind Roger and Brianna in the present day so much- they seem to fit better there than they do in the past, as they did in the books as well, imo. I'm actually bummed they wound up back with Claire and Jamie intending to stay there for good- are they insane? Why would they want to raise their kids there? What if something happens to one of them again, medically? This stuff is all so obvious and it's just never brought up, which is bizarre. I can't understand why anyone would want to live forever in a place where you'll never have indoor plumbing or electricity and you're likely to die from a violent act. Claire does it for Jamie. But Roger and Brianna? To go back there again? Makes no sense. Their kids will never have opportunities they would have in their own time. Hiding from those idiots trying to take their gold is NOT a reason. It never made sense as a reason to get them back there. I dread the sex scenes with the two of them because Bree is just so bad and I feel sorry for Richard Rankin. Sigh. At least they played a good song during it. I'm glad they did at least a little bit of Buck being in awe of the future. I hated that he was completely non-fazed by anything in the book. Come on, the dude came from the 1700s to the 1980s! That really would be like stepping on another planet as far as he's concerned. When you travel to the past we do have some learned context for what we're going to see, what we're not going to have, etc. but the future would be just nuts. I couldn't understand why he was so nonplussed by shit like cars, for example. I mean, really?
  14. There's four episodes left and I have no idea where this show is going. Why pivot back to Veronica and Jughead now? They haven't had any scenes together since that first time and if anything it seems like it was building to him and Ethel kissing eventually. I guess I just don't get it. And now one of the last four episodes is about Josie, who hasn't been on in forever? There are things about this season I like, like Archie and Reggie's friendship, but can this possibly end in a way that's satisfying to anyone at this point?
  15. I don't think I'll ever like Miranda as a lesbian. I can't buy it. When she asks Charlotte why would you assume just ladies, I figured she should say because that's what Cynthia Nixon wants you to be. I can believe Cynthia Nixon's own story. Married to a man young, never explored her sexuality, figured it out in late in life, etc. But how many men has Miranda slept with? Her entire adult life until marrying Steve at what, 40? Men and only men. The show directly addressed her possibly being gay and rejected it. We SAW this. A single woman dating all the time for that many years. It doesn't make sense. She would have known before this.
  16. Another thing that was interesting to me here was also how much better the acting chemistry was between Miranda and Steve than Miranda and Che. Seriously, even when it's this super intense fight, it was well acted and believable from the both of them, which has not been the case in ANY scene that Miranda and Che have ever shared. I'm sorry, Cynthia Nixon! You may be a lesbian now, but your character still matches better onscreen with David Eigenberg, like she always has.
  17. This episode was ok, but why were they not allowed to explicitly state why Ethel didn't embody the "ideals" of Miss Teen Riverdale? It seemed like they kept dancing around it without saying it. It should be obvious, esp for the 1950's, that what they were looking at in those pageants was a certain body type, not whether Ethel murdered her parents or not. They had no problem stating that Toni wanted to be the only black woman on stage and acknowledging that would likely preclude her from winning. But when she says Ethel has as about much chance of winning as she does, no one has said it's because of her weight. That was sort of weird, imo.
  18. I don't understand how Steve having sex makes it okay to be mad at him now. Like it means he doesn't care or isn't upset and hurt that his wife cheated on him and has spent the past year fucking someone else? Does sleeping with someone mean you've moved on and have no right to be angry? Since when? Miranda is an idiot. He IS still the victim.
  19. They're doing a great job with Clark/Lois in particular, they're adorable together.
  20. Can't wait for Miranda to "examine" her sexuality and discover she's always been a lesbian but we all never knew it. Amazing. Especially from a person who dated how many men her entire adult life and only married when she was what, close to 40? And even confronted people thinking she was gay and rejected it? I'm sorry but it's a complete retcon. I'm sorry the old show refused to acknowledge bisexuality and fluid sexuality with anyone other than Samantha, but this is what we saw. If Miranda was an angry person because of her confused sexuality (or subconscious rejection of the truth of it, which is what I think they're going to end up saying), it just doesn't jibe with what we saw onscreen. They would have needed to hint at it at least some of the time.
  21. Oh wonderful. So we're going to now change Miranda into the full on lesbian that she's apparently always been? I can't wait.
  22. Yeah, I'm actually wondering if we're just gonna drop the comet/time travel completely. What I can see them doing is a quick glance across other Archies "universes" or whatever to show different endings with different pairings, etc. But they're obviously ending in this particular 1950's world, given how much time we've now spent in it.
  23. I always wondered how much time had passed between this episode and the previous one. Kelly and Dylan's interaction at the beginning suggests they've been carrying on with each other since the last one. Did they actually sleep together?
  24. I always had a question about this episode and the following one. The next one made it seem like some time had definitely passed and it sure seemed like Dylan and Kelly were actively having an affair. Were they really sleeping together behind Brandon's back? That was never totally confirmed but the way Dylan set up their trip and all it definitely seemed like something was going on between them more than just some kissing.
  25. Did we see Brianna tell him that? Or did it happen off-page? I swear I don't remember him actually being told that information. Even in this one, Fergus is told for the first time by Roger.
