It's true. Average 18-49 demo through 2x07: 0.985 Average 18-49 demo through 3x07: 0.942 (-4,37%) Average total viewers through 2x07: 2.801 million viewers Average total viewers through 3x07: 2.591 million viewers (-7.5%) Average 18-49 demo from 2x08 - 2x11: 1.025 Average 18-49 demo from 3x08 - 3x11: 1.175 (+12,77%) Average total viewers from 2x08 - 2x11: 2.8175 million viewers Average total viewers from 3x08 - 3x11: 3.2275 million viewers (+12,71%) Clearly, Arrow was able to gain new viewers due to the extra exposure from the Flash crossover.

That seems about right. In the past, the IMDB boards and comment sections under online reviews used to be filled with Laurel hate, but I haven't seen much of that around anymore ever since Laurel has become Black Canary. Maybe a lot of people were impatient for her to put on the costume, after all.

You're not entirely wrong, but to be fair, they were kinda interrupted by all the coughing up copious amounts of blood before they could get to something less vanilla, and all that blood already did give a new definition to the word vanilla. The other Felicity/Oliver kisses haven't looked much different though and I have yet to see SA create heat with any of the women on the show. Stephen reminds me more and more of Tom Cruise. He's great at the action scenes and fairly decent at drama, but he wouldn't be able to convey romantic passion if his life depended on it.

I mean....I don't know, but that just really struck me as a bizarre OTT reaction. Maybe it's just because I can't get away from my first thought being "well damn, glad you're so excited about Sara brutally killed off", but that's probably unfair of me. I think when Sara was introduced as the Canary, KC might have feared that the producers had changed direction and decided that her character would never become BC. That's the only way I can make sense of such a strong reaction on her end.

I think people are making a much bigger deal out of KC's cancelled con appearances than they are. It's not like she has decided not to show up at an official Arrow promo event. These con appearances are something the actors do for themselves - to collect some extra cash on the side and spend some time with their fans. Yes, it sucks for the fans who were hoping to meet her at one of the upcoming cons, but KC has done lots of personal con appearance over the last 10 months and maybe she feels she can afford to take a little break from the con circuit for the time being.

OMG, Chase the DJ is supposed to be a member of the LOA? It's official. The Arrow writers have completely lost it.
-
Lol, it was so obvious that the writers would come up with a plot contrivance to stage a Canary vs. Black Canary fight. I called it (and the hallucination) right from the moment I heard that Vertigo would be back.

I know this was posted on the last page, but I still wanted to add my 2 cents to the discussion: That is a very lose definition of what it means to be A-list. A-list has nothing to do with talent nor does it depend solely on an actor's appeal at the box office. Jennifer Aniston, for example, is considered A-list although she can't carry a movie on her own. Jennifer Garner is considered A-list and all she's got going for herself is her marriage to Ben Affleck these days. She hasn't starred in a big movie in years. Likewise, TV actors who are starring in critically acclaimed leading roles on long-running hit shows are considered A-list as well (think the likes of Claire Danes, Jessica Lange, Ellen Pompeo, Jon Hamm or Michael C. Hall when Dexter was still on the air).

Judging from the dialogue, it looks like the Supergirl producers are molding Kara after the Felicity Smoak character. Just like they did Barry Allen and Ray Palmer. I get that Felicity (and Chloe on Smallville before her) turned out to be a hit with fans, but that doesn't have to mean that you have to use her as blue print for every new superhero character you're trying to build a show around.

If I was using show logic, I would think it's Nyssa because we know LOA members are very skilled at dangling from ropes. However, I suspect it might be Laurel because she's the Black Canary (no other explanation needed).

I just saw this on Guggenheim's Tumblr: So it looks like Ted was really originally meant to be a new love interest for Laurel but those plans had to be scrapped. I have to say that was poor planning on part of the producers because it was known that the actor was already involved with another show and there's always a risk that his role could end up being expanded. On the other hand, it might actually be for the best because KC and the actor playing Ted Grant have zero chemistry with each other, IMO. Guggenheim also mentioned that they are talking about a new love interest for Laurel. Hopefully, they'll do a better job with the casting next time.

Yay, Tatsu won't be killed off! Finally some encouraging news for this Arrow viewer.

I would be careful with sentiments like this because there is no guarantee that anyone associated with Arrow is going to line up another worthwhile role once the show is over. Very often, these type of roles turn out to be the pinnacle of an actor's career.
-
Yeah, this and I think they were also trying to paint Laurel as the bigger person of the two. It continued during the Helena arc in BOP, when Laurel was the one who decided to stay behind to save the other hostages (whereas Sara only wanted to save Laurel) and then had to plead with Sara not to kill Helena. In retrospect, Sara's main purpose on the show really was to function as a prop for Laurel, which is a shame because the character had the potential to be so much more than that.
-
LOL, could they be any more obvious about the blatant misogyny of this show? If they have to fill up the panel with tons of guest stars, why not feature Katrina Law, at least? She has appeared on the show several times and is part of the ongoing LOA storyline. Hardly. Most of the panelists won't get to answer a single question. They're just there to fill up space and look pretty. Nope.

I see this sentiment (originally expecting this show to be about Oliver Queen/Green Arrow without a Black Canary presence) posted quite frequently on this board and it surprises me a little because when I started watching this show, I fully expected that it would eventually turn into the Green Arrow/Black Canary hour. I have never been big into comicbooks, but I was still aware of the rich comicbook history between the Green Arrow and Black Canary characters and by making Dinah Laurel Lance the female lead from the very first episode, I thought the writers telegraphed their intentions early.

Didn't Tommy get buried in Starling City? I know we didn't actually see the funeral, but there has been no sign on the show that his body went missing and his grave is empty. The characters should have behaved in a completely different way at the start of season 2 if that were the case.
-
If Tommy comes back, they better bring back Moira, Sara and Shado, too. I won't accept anything else.
-
Because they are making up the story as they are going along.

Ok, do the Arrow writers think we are stupid? They totally changed the dialogue of the Ra's/Nyssa scene (episode 4) in the previouslies to make it fit the story of this episode. They probably decided on Thea as Sara's killer shortly before they wrote this script. And of course, they didn't have really commit to this vision, either. They went for the copout and made it so that she was drugged by Malcolm. It's too bad that Malcolm didn't remember the existence of this powerful drug when he was trying to get his son Tommy on his side back in season 1. The Ra's/Oliver duel was nice to watch and obviously, Oliver isn't going to stay dead. He will be brought back by the Lazarus Pits (sadly, character resurrections are only reserved for male characters on this show). As for Maseo's membership in the League Of Assassins, it better not mean that Katana is dead. If it turns out that they have fridged another female character for the sake of man pain, I am going to riot. I'm sorry for my negativity, but as a non-Olicity-shipping Arrow-watcher, I'm feeling very bitter tonight.
-
Maybe Felicity will tell Oliver that he needs to kill Ra's?
-
Ugh, it's really looking more and more like Thea did it given the ID match and the fact that she and Oliver are related. :( At least it looks like Laurel will finally inform her parents about Sara's death. That's something, I guess.
-
Ugh, Thea better be a red herring because if she really is Sara's killer, the only justice I could ever see happening is for the LOA/Nyssa to kill her and that isn't something I want to see. As if Oliver would ever disown his own sister or put her in jail...
