  1. Something else that bugs me about this episode is how long the cell phones continued to work. On the morning of 9/11, I was in Philadelphia. Within minutes of the second plane crash, the cell phones and Internet choked from everyone trying to call/connect at once. Maddie and Travis only had token trouble with their phones and were still able to make calls without a lot of trouble. That's not very realistic.
  2. This show is starting to grow on me. I hope they keep Tobias around for a while. I really like his character. Speaking of race, has anyone else noticed the complete lack of any Asian people in the apocalypse besides Glenn??? I figured it was okay in Georgia, but in Los Angeles???? There are no Asian people in this franchise besides Glenn, zombified or otherwise. Like, at all. I know they keep killing/zombie-ing off the black actors, but at least they hired them for an episode. They're ahead of the Asians.
  3. Aubree has a loser father, and she gets little in the way of discipline. I don't see Chelsea knowing how to reign her in when she hits the teen years. Plus she'll be missing her father, since he will most likely be moved away or just ignoring her by then. I can totally see Chelsea one day making excuses for her behavior, just like Mama Dawn and Leah. Aubree already runs that house, and she's only 5 years old. She might even run off to live with Adam at some point, who will have no rules at all.
  4. If this show was only about Chelsea, and we didn't have to compare the other train wrecks to her, we'd all be saying what a dumb ass she is. First, letting her kid refer to her boyfriend as a second dad is just WRONG. I know Adam's an ass, but he's not an absent parent. And Chelsea has no idea at this point whether she and the boyfriend will last. She's setting Aubree up for another disappointment if things don't work out. Second, all the animals. When MTV pulls the plug and Chelsea has to work full time to pay her bills, having 3 pets plus a school-age child is going to overwhelm her. One of those animals is eventually headed for another home or to the animal shelter. Chelsea seems fine right now, when she can live off MTV money and work just part time as the salon. But ole' Chelsea never handled stress well, and there's a lot of it coming when she has to do some full time work to make ends meet. Plus, I want to know for real when the last time she had sex with Adam was. Somehow, I picture Aubree eventually ending up like Leah. They seem to have similar life situations as children, and they seem to have similar personalities.
  5. When they used to have that Doomsday Preppers show, the preppers would always point out that if no deliveries are made, grocery store shelves will empty out within 3 days. I'm thinking things could go bad pretty quickly. I'm curious as to how long it takes for the power to out and the cell towers to go down though. I would think that would take a long time in a place like Los Angeles where it never rains hard enough to knock out the electricity.
  6. Hopefully we don't end up with a Flowers in the Attic scenario. If I remember correctly, the first season of the original Walking Dead had Rick in a coma in the hospital for about 5 weeks. During that 5 weeks, the whole world fell apart and the population died off/disappeared. I am curious as to whether Fear the Walking Dead will stick to the same 5 week timeline where everything falls apart. I also hope they finally clarify if people originally turned Zombie after they got sick with some kind of virus/flu, or if it only happens after people just randomly die.
  7. I thought it was pretty realistic. LA is extremely expensive, and people outside of LA only see the wealthy sections of it. A school teacher would have a hard time affording a house and a new car in LA. Not to mention the state has been basically bankrupt, so its not hard to imagine the school is a little shabby. The entire city is not like Beverly Hills 90210. I'm annoyed that they shot the rest of the season in Canada. What a waste of a good location.
  8. It was slow to get started, but I actually really liked the last 30 minutes. I'm curious to see where it goes. I'm not so into the family aspect, so I hope they kill a few of them off and add other people.
  9. While it wouldn't surprise me if Josh did this, I need to see more proof. This is too easy a thing to fake as a joke or to stick it to him. Credit cards are too easy to get in someone else's name. Unless he admits it or they prove it, I'm not going to condemn him for this particular scandal. The other scandal is still all his own molesting fault.
  10. I think Jeff has become less openly aggressive, and more passive aggressive. Making nasty jokes to make a point is now his calling card. Although he has yelled multiple times this season.
  11. They talk about whether they should get donor eggs from a super model, but they never talk about whether they should bring a baby into a family where both parents are 80 hour a week workaholics. I also noticed that Jeni still stays for cocktail hour when she has a small child waiting for her at home. Mother of the year.
  12. Is Kail pregnant again? Someone on the episode thread posted a picture of her pregnant? Please tell me they're not having another kid.
  13. Were parts of Leah's part in this episode filmed at completely different times? In the beginning, she looks dirty and homeless. Her hair is just nasty. Then not too much later, she looks completely washed and put back together. Something about it just screamed that the two parts were filmed like weeks apart or something. I question how easy it is to get your kid back when your mother has been raising him without you there most of the time for 6 years. While the court's standards are low, I still think Jenelle would have a hard time, if she ever files and is actually serious about it. At least she acknowledges the awkwardness of having two baby daddies by your 24th birthday.
  14. Leah is now in a pickle with dating. Any guy with an education or good job who is nice and stable and has goals in life is going to hesitate BIG TIME before dating a 23 year old girl with two divorces, 3 kids, no job and no education. The kinds of guys generally willing to take that on either want to be a savior, or they're really messed up themselves. At 23, Leah, has already made sure she has 3 strikes against her before she even meets someone. She can still turn it around, but it will take some serious therapy and self reflection. And there is no evidence that Leah sees there is a problem.
  15. Nathan, the unlikely voice of reason. For 28 seconds, I actually liked him. Leah and Kail are completely unwilling to take responsibilty for anything. They may not be Jenelle, but they're not good mothers. Javi and Corey are good dads. Javi is being a good dad to a kid whose not even his.
  16. Chelsea is the only Teen Mom on this show who is even close to coping like a normal human, and she's the only one who has had her bio dad actively involved in her life. Coincidence? I bet Kail grew up in poverty, or close to it. Now she has too much money and no idea how to set limits. She's in for a big crash. I do give Joe huge points for being the rare parent who is willing to risk losing their significant other in order to live closer to their child. Sadly, that is not the norm in these types of situations.
  17. Was Kail driving a Mercedes???? Did I see that right? These are girls are headed for total poverty post-Teen Mom. Neither Barb nor Jenelle should be asking Jace where he wants to live. He's a little kid, and he shouldn't be asked to choose himself between Mom and Grandma. I think he's better off with Barb at this point, but I don't think he should be calling her Mom. I really do think Barb influenced that, and did it to stick it in Jenelle's face. I'm not all that in love with Barb. She's one half of the screaming duo that fought constantly in front of Jace during his early years. Leah is depressed, mentally ill, or on drugs. And she's lazy on top of that. She really is. Even when she was mentally healthy, the twins were wandering the house half naked and she couldn't keep a job even part time.
  18. Jace is completely screwed by his entire environment. Even Barb is a yeller who has threatened, on camera, to make Jace go live somewhere else if he doesn't behave. Aubree has an awful father, and a mother who wants too much to be her friend, but her mom is at least loving and parenting and she has very nice grandparents. Aubree may end up pregnant at 16, but her odds of ending up in jail some day remain low. Jace is definitely going to jail some day.
  19. Nathan actually concerns me a lot more than Adam does. If one of Adam's kids got hurt, it would be because he did something stupid or was neglecting their safety, but I don't really think he would hurt them on purpose. He does seem to have some genuine affection for Aubree, even though he's totally messed up and irresponsible. With Nathan, I wouldn't be totally surprised if he one day hurt Kaiser or Jace on purpose. He just seems to have that kind of anger in him. I wouldn't put it past him to either beat one of the kids really bad in a fit of rage, or hurt one them on purpose to stick it to Jenelle. As ridiculous as Jenelle is, I think she does love her kids. She's totally unfit and irresponsible, but I don't get the feeling that she doesn't love Jace. Nathan seems completely detached from any emotion except anger.
  20. If Adam's rap sheet is 27 pages long, I can't wait to hear how long Nathan's rap sheet is. Jenelle has a shot at formal visitation with Jace, but no real shot at custody. There is too much on film that would be considered actionable by child protective services. Chelsea's real problem is going to come when she needs to start disciplining Aubree and stop being her best friend. Aubree is going to wind up a spoiled brat, but at least she's less traumatized than the other kids. Kail is a jerk who will never be happy. No matter what Joe does, it will never be right enough or good enough. She better not say in court that she doesn't want the perfectly fit father of her child living in her state. The judge will let her have it. Not mention, Kail isn't that pretty and doesn't seem to be aging all that well. She better hold on to Javi, yet another perfectly nice guy and good father who has even been a good stepdad to her other kid.
  21. I may be going to hell for saying this, but I'm just not buying what Hank and Kendra are selling. Any of it. The acting was bad. The whole thing just seemed staged for effect. Hank and Kendra managed to squeeze money out of two different reality shows by claiming this cheating/sexual assault, and then dragging it out until almost the end of Marriage Boot camp. I just don't buy it. Even the recorded conversation. I just wouldn't put it past them to have made the whole thing up for drama. Their own reality show was otherwise going nowhere. And we've seen this type of thing before (Tori and Dean), where it just doesn't hold up to scrutiny. This "confession" will flow right into a new season of Kendra's own reality show. Its all a little too convenient. I did love how Kendra made Hank's supposed sexual assault all about her though. What a douche canoe. And how no one else wanted to be married to them. That was awesome.
  22. The thing that pissed me off the most about Kail was her comment to her baby daddy that she "doesn't want him moving into her backyard". Because its great for a small child to have to sit in a car for THREE HOURS to see his dad. And she wants to adjust the custody because she doesn't want to drive it, but she doesn't want him TOO close. Kail is extremely controlling. And she talks to Javi like he's a child. While asking him to handle her custody transfer so she can get to a concert.
  23. Its really sad that Chelsea is the most mature one of the bunch. And she's not even that good, but she has a job, hasn't popped out another kid, and doesn't seem to be screaming at someone as much in front of her child. That's basically the bar for good parenting on Teen Mom. I wish she would stop bashing Aubree's father in front of the kid though. And I wouldn't be surprised to hear that she's still having sex with him when the cameras aren't around. I don't understand why Leah and Corey don't have split custody. Every other divorced parent I know, unless they're Adam or a serial killer, was able to get 50% custody of their kid. And I don't really see Leah being so much more nurturing than Corey. Leah seems upset and annoyed and caught up in her marriage/man drama most of the time. I really want to know how often the kid is not in school when it starts at 8:15.
  24. Gee, they're really having to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find new "celebrities" for this show. And only one couple is married. I want to feel bad for Kendra but she's so totally unlikeable, a horrible actress, and clearly exploiting the entire situation for profit. The only real question at this point is whether they're getting divorced when the hype runs out, or staying together. I can't even keep the other people's names straight or bring myself to care to remember what show they were previously on. And Aubrey is a total vulture. She knows she's nobody, so she keeps trying to hitch herself to Kendra's drama to be relevant. She pushes Kendra to tell her things so she can get camera time. She's not any better than Travis, so I have no idea why he's being painted as the bad guy in their relationship.
  25. Meri looks over it, from what you can see of her. I'm surprised that Janelle hasn't left the family yet. And Madison isn't even in the picture. I'm sure they'll get another season though, to fill the hole left by the Duggars. In the last season, it was so obvious how dysfunctional the family is and how checked out the older kids are from their "religion".
