  1. There is a smugness to the Duggars that just makes me want to smack them. It used to just be Jim Bob and Michelle and Josh, but now its the girls too. You can just tell they look down on people. And what have they really accomplished in life? Not one of the Duggar children has gone to college, or pursued any profession and actually finished it. There was hope for Jill, but the midwife thing is over now that she's going to be staying home to just breed. I really wonder if Jana and John David are avoiding marriage because they secretly don't want 20 kids. But what are they doing in the meantime? Nothing. Josh is hanging out in DC looking for ways to discriminate against homosexuals. That's about all they have going. I really wonder what Michelle's family thinks of all this. When they showed them a few seasons back, you could tell they were normal people. Were any of them at the weddings?
  2. Porsha had no right to put her hands on anyone, but Kenya was trying to provoke something with her antics during the reunion. I don't feel all that bad that Porsha grabbed her, and Kenya's traumatized act because she got her hair pulled after being a pain in the ass is over the top ridiculous.
  3. Dean doesn't appear to be working at the moment, so why wasn't Dean on top of this birthday party thing? Tori shouldn't take the blame for how many people Dean's 16 year old son invited. Why wasn't the party discussed before Jack invited anyone? And if it bothers Dean, Dean should call or meet with his own son and have a discussion about the guest list, not just whine to Tori about how many people were invited and then take no action himself. I think Dean likes being the fun parent, and Tori and Maryjo are left to do the harder work of discipline. Oh, and their landlord must have been thrilled that they were throwing a part at a house they don't own and inviting 60 teenagers. As much as I dislike Tori, Dean doesn't follow through or take responsibility for things. His hobbies, his multiple marriages, and yet no consistent job and the CHEF doesn't appear to make a decent dinner for his own kids in that huge gourmet kitchen.
  4. There is something about Mary Jo's voice and her personality that come off a little "flat" at times. I noticed it a few times during her Access Hollywood interview recently. She seems to move in and out of having a personality and then being more monotone. I never watched her cooking show, so I don't know if she was always like this or not. But she still comes off way more normal than Tori.
  5. There is something very off about Tori Spelling that becomes glaring when she interacts with more normal people. I noticed it last season in the few scenes she filmed with the much classier Jennie Garth, and I noticed it again with Mary Jo. Its a combination of how she looks and how she acts that resembles a cartoon caricature of a person. Tori just doesn't give off the vibe of a mature adult. And when she's interacting with Jennie and Mary Jo, its so painfully obvious that she's just WEIRD. You don't notice it as much when she's with Dean of any of those hired friends they have her do scenes with, but with more normal people, its really obvious she looks weird and talks like a seriously dysfunctional, immature human being. Its like watching that movie Roger Rabbit, where cartoons interact with real people. Oh, and Dean did not have a huge crush on Donna Martin during the 90210 days. I was in high school then and the target audience, and NOBODY on a crush on Donna the Virgin. Very few guys even watched that show on a regular basis, and if they did, they wanted to bang Tiffani-Amber Theissan.
  6. If Candy had handed Tori $10 million, it would already be spent. The things they don't tell you on this show are very telling on the screen. The rental home they're in is very large. Tori is freaking out about money but they rent a beach house in Malibu for a MONTH. Tori has a warehouse full of expensive crap and is an obvious hoarder. Dean has super expensive hobbies. The two of them have no finanical control. Candy is right to ask to send the kids' tuitions straight to the school. I also noticed that all we see Tori doing is wandering the house, hanging out with friends, and taking to the bed. In past series, she had multiple businesses going. Obviously Mystery Girls didn't go well or Tori would be going somewhere to film and they would show that. As for Dean, he was always dead weight. Host of Chopped Canada can't pay all that well. Oh, and how were Tori and Dean having sex every single day at the beach with no nanny around to watch the kids? Where are the kids when Tori and Dean are taking to the bed for migraines if there is supposedly no help around?
  7. She's out of the hospital. There were photos of her walking around, without Dean or her kids. I guess she got over having Ebola.
  8. If you take away The Cancer, Amber has no storyline besides douchy Jim. I suspect Amber was brought on the show to fight with Melissa, and for some reason it never took off beyond the initial fight with the hair pulling during the costume party. Melissa has been really subdued this season, either because she just has no storyline or maybe because she finally (sort of) learned her lesson.
  9. I really wonder if Tori doing this show is just one big punishment for Dean. She says she cares about whether he kills himself, but she keeps humiliating him on camera. She talks about how he pays for nothing, has no job, and now she's going to visit his ex-wife and hear all about how he was a loser way-back-when too. And she was very positive about Charlie while looking at Dean like she could barely stand him.
  10. In one of the earlier Tori and Dean reality shows, Tori made a crack about Charile being a massage therapist and that she couldn't possibly be with a massage therapist. I believe it may be in her first book as well. Tori's not upset that she lost Charlie. Tori is upset because her little fairy tale isn't quite working out. And she's upset to ramp up the drama and get some ratings for this stupid show. Tori is a snob and a bitch, when you peel the facade away. The previews next week looked interesting. Maryjo is really pretty. Dean is emotionally exhausting. And I still suspect that his "addiction" issues are more about excusing his cheating and less about having a real addiction problem. That's just my opinion, but their whole relationship has been on television and we never saw Dean looking jacked up until after the affair.
  11. Bravo can't be paying that well. A huge part of the lure of reality shows for networks is that they're extremely cheap to produce. These people aren't make a million an episode like the gang over at Big Bang Theory. And Franklin Lakes is incredibly expensive. They're supposedly building a custom house on a large amount of land for New Jersey. That rental house alone has to be costing at least $4,000 a month or more. And its not like Melissa's singing career has taken off. I would like to see all these people's financial statements. The cars, the custom houses, the private schools. That money is coming from somewhere, No one has commented on the incrediblly cheap, tacky set used for the reunion. It was like a bad drag queen show. With Andy sitting on that throne in the middle, and the housewives in their ugly ball gowns. And then they had to pan to the warehouse look of the building to show Teresa fleeing to the bathroom.
  12. I watched the rest of it last night, and now I do feel a little bad for Teresa. She did look increasingly miserable as the hour wore on. I hope Andy is not planning to spend the next 2 hours on the legal thing, because it really started to get boring as hell. And i really want to know where Joe Gorga's money is really coming from. I think a lot of these people have creative financial statements. I was surpised that Amber had full lose your hair chemotherapy for stage 1 breast cancer. I don't think that is typical. I assumed she was stage 2. I did like that she owned up to the The Cancer thing and said she would keep saying it and didn't care.
  13. If Teresa was a real actress promoting a movie, and Andy was asking her personal questions that had nothing to do with the movie, I would totally agree with you. Even if it was an interview about Teresa's cookbook, I would say that personal questions are below the belt and rude. However, this entire reality show is about the real lives of the women on the show. In that venue, Andy's questions were fair. Teresa put her life out there as a show. If I recall correctly, she signed on for another season after she knew she was in serious legal trouble, and consented with that to having the entire fiasco on tape for the whole world to see. When you sign on for a show about yourself after you know estranged family members are on there too, you have to be prepared for personal questions about the situation. This is not Andy's fault. All these women volunteered. If they are humiliated, its because they put their trash up on the screen for others to look at and comment on. After 6 seasons, Teresa knew what Andy's priorities and motives were. She wanted the money, so she signed another contract anyway.
  14. On the one hand, Teresa wants the show to be all about her and wants to be the star. I think she pictures herself as some kind of Carol Burnett, and everyone else is a supporting player. On the other hand, Teresa doesn't like it when the focus on her turns negative. Then she freaks out and acts like she's above it all. She wants Andy to continue paying her, but she wants to control what he airs and says and asks. It doesn't work that way unless you negotiated creative control in the beginning, like the Duggar family did. Teresa should have never signed up for another season. It was tacky to do it after she found out how much trouble she was in. But she's greedy and not very bright.
  15. I laughed my ass off when Teresa was in the bathroom with her microphone still on. That was funny. So is the twitter love for Teresa. Especially the parts about how her fans are going to write her in prison. And what's up with the attitude Teresa and Dina have towards Andy? They weren't forced to be on this show through slave labor. They volunteered to put their whole lives on the television for people to laugh at because they wanted the money and the fame. Now they're pissed because they look like assholes? Real actresses don't do this crap because they realize the value of a private life. When serious family problems and legal problems come up, you don't sign on for another season unless you want to answer hard questions and have the whole world gawk at you. You don't come back to a show right after your sister and brother leave unless you want to be asked why. You don't have a camera in your daughters' faces as their whole world crumbles around them unless you're a douche. You don't blame the host for ruining your family when you fully participated in the drama and the lying and the fighting.
  16. As much as I dislike Tori, I highly doubt that Candy was any better as a mother. Candy is also a hoarder, was mostly a trophy wife, and I have no doubt that Tori and her brother were raised by the nannies. Both Tori and her brother are screwed up. Candy is zero for two, and I doubt that's random bad luck. I watched her show where she talked about moving into that condo, and Candy has some seriously tendencies of her own. And Candy did accuse Tori of killing her father, which was nuts and really pretty nasty to say in public.
  17. That's Tori's justification. It was okay that she slept with another woman's husband because they were soulmates and it was a fairytale meeting and so its okay that she helped break up another family and cheated on her own husband. Now its okay that she's crying and whining endlessly because her fairytale got interrupted when Dean got some from Emily's good hand. We should forget about her past behavior and feel awful for her because its her FAIRYTALE. I feel like this whole show is Tori's revenge on Dean. She states over and over how she financially supports everyone, which points out that Dean is useless and unemployed. She is forcing him to explore all his past problems and issues and national television. And she's making damn sure everyone knows what a useless, cheating loser he is. The problem is that most of us had already figured that out when Dean and Tori first got together. And all her hysteria makes her look as bad as him.
  18. Tori might be the most self-centered person ever. The whole thing about seeing Charlie was all about Tori. Nothing about how Charlie feels or whether Charlie has moved on with his life and might not want to be mixed up in Tori's drama. Even when talking about the cheating, Tori manages to imply that she was victimized in some way, because she never got closure. Then she can't even go to the meeting she arranged, because she's pretending to be too emotionally fragile. And Tori's behavior is classic hoarder. Keeping tons of stuff and then blaming everyone else for not HELPING you sort through it, even though they tried and you wouldn't throw anything out. They showed that over and over on the Hoarders show. And Dean's pained act any time his cheating comes up is entertaining. He is not a good actor. Its a good thing he didn't get the vasectomy, because his next mistress/wife might want a baby of her own.
  19. Jill's wedding dress was really pretty. They seem genuinely fond of each and attracted to each other, although I wouldn't say they are in love because I don't think they've had any private time together to really get to know each other on a deeper level. I wish they had waited longer to get to know each other before getting pregnant, but they seem a lot more genuine than Jessa and Ben. Having that many people involved in and attending the wedding was silly though. I've been to huge weddings before, where everyone you ever met is invited. I'm wondering if that was Jill and Derrick's idea, or if they were informed by Jim Bob how it was going to be.
  20. I don't think Dina looks all that young. She does look good for her age, but if I saw her on the street, I would say she looks her age, about mid-40's. The youngest looking one in the group is still Melissa. Teresa just looks over-tanned all the time. Dina's skin looks good for someone her age who can afford facials and expensive trips to a dermatologist. Her nose totally ties her to her sister Caroline though. The twins just look scary. All the time.
  21. One or two seasons back, Teresa was trying to give the girls an Italian language lesson. They didn't seem very good at it, and all it did was highlight how bad the discipline is in that house. It was embarrassing to wach Teresa try to make them behave, especially Milania.
  22. I always assumed there was a coach behind the scenes telling Teresa what to say. I don't think her lawyers would have let her do any pre-sentencing interviews without a babysitter, because Teresa is clearly an idiot who wouldn't be able to follow general guidelines provided to her without someone just out of sight enforcing it. When one of the entertainment shows interviewed Teresa a while back, they showed Wendy in the background basically feeding Teresa her lines. The real, unfiltered Teresa says stupid crap like I don't want to live in a "used" house. She's worse than Sarah Palin at spinning and defending herself. I also doubt Wendy was someone who just took the job for the publicity. I'm betting the lawyers found her and she was getting paid. It must get tiring trying to control someone who never accepts responsibility and can't understand basic human English half the time. Teresa would be about as successful doing her own crisis management as she would be writing her own books. Both times, there was an all-knowing Oz behind the curtain doing the real work.
  23. I remember on the very first episode of Real Housewives of NYC, Jill Zarin talked about fundraisers, and it was all about status and showing your money and getting into higher circles of society. It had nothing to do with the actual charity or the people who were ill or poor. That is why you should always be very careful about which charities you donate to. I would never give a dime to LadyBug. They have shown several Project LadyBug fundraisers during the course of this show, and I don't think they've ever actually shown the kids receiving the money or the activity the money is supposed to pay for. Its sad that rich people use charity for status and tax write-offs. The crying over Teresa's prison sentence annoyed me. She did the crime. She's only doing a year or so in jail, and she's not ill or dead. Crying was inappropriate and over the top. Both Jacqueline and Amber know what a real problem is. They should be above this. For once, I was on Team Jim.
  24. I never get invited to rich people fundraisers, so maybe I'm just out of the loop. But the only cancer patient at Dina's Project Ladybug fundraiser was Amber. I thought maybe she would have children with cancer in the fashion show or something, but nothing. I've noticed that at many of the Real Housewife rich people fundraisers, no one with the actual affliction is present. Any time I go to an American Cancer Society fundraiser, actual cancer patients are attending as well.
  25. On one of the entertainment shows (maybe Entertainment Tonight?), they showed how Teresa has a hired crisis coach who tells her what to say and how to spin things. Andy would never have gotten a straight answer. The entertainment show even showed how during their own interview with Teresa, the crisis coach was coaching her answers and helping her frame things. She's just saying what she's been told, which is to go back to her daughters and how she just cares about her kids and didn't understand anything she apparently signed. Teresa really isn't very bright, but I will always believe that she knew they were breaking the law. You don't forget property that you owned and are receiving rental income on, especially when there was only one and the question was Yes or No do you own an extra house that you rent out. Stupid people can still be very manipulative.
