Joe’s comeuppance was glorious perfection. Not only does he spend the rest of his life behind bars with no one but crazy fan letters to keep him company (which he can’t even enjoy because they’re so nuts he can’t project his fantasies of them)…he got his dick shot off. He is neutered in every sense of the word. I never dared to dream of such a perfect insult to injury, and it was all for social media to mock. As much as Louise annoyed me this season, she redeemed herself quite nicely with that. Bravo. Kudos to Penn Badgley. You can tell he’s been waiting for this moment forever. Finally, Joe’s mask was off. All that incel misogyny that he’d been keeping in his internal monologue broke out for us all to see. It was horrifying and satisfying all at once. “The fantasy of a man like you is how we cope with the reality of a man like you.” Yup, there it is. Loved that too. I’m a little leery of Kate keeping custody of him—I thought he’d go back to his Madre Linda dads, but she’s the only parent he really knows. Maybe he can still visit them though? It was good to see Nadia and Marianne get their lives back, and Beck and the other victims finally get the justice they deserved. Not so sure Harrison and Maddie deserved their happy ending, but as long as Gretchen is happy. As completely insane as this final season was, it managed to get us where we needed to be. I don’t care if some people will whine it was too much fan service, I needed the catharsis. Poor Penn is going to find it difficult to go back to playing actual decent male characters though.

Well, on the bright side, it would be her chance to get revenge for that infamous WU holiday swap..

Oh Brontë/Louise. I had such high hopes for you. Loved seeing Beck in the flashbacks. And how great was it that someone finally knew/cared enough about her to realize that there was something off about her death-book. Teaming up with Dr. Nicky’s son and his friends to catfish Joe was kind of silly, but I support it… And then we find out that she actually fell for Joe’s bullshit? Poor Candice is spinning in her grave: “What is the big deal about Joe Fucking Goldberg?!” Really, all it took to ignore all the circumstantial evidence was his soft boy lies and charm?! Ugh. Alas poor Clayton. I cant really hold putting Brontë in danger when cat fishing Joe was HER IDEA to begin with. And he was right to call her out on being so stupid. Now Joe has damaged Dr. Nicky’s family even more. At least Kate throwing out Joe was awesome, even if she’s still complicit in everything.

The audacity of Joe being so offended by Kate suddenly being so repulsed by his dark side when it’s the exact same way he treated Love is just too much.

RIP Reagan. You were a horrible person, but anyone that bites Joe in the balls is still a hero.

Figures the one good thing he ever did wouldn’t last.

Teddy is my favorite character this season. Please don’t die. Something is very off about Brontë. She just seems too much of a Manic Pixie Dreamgirl to be real. Either the writers aren’t trying anymore, or it’s a cover story. I want to feel sorry for Kate, but she was stupid enough to marry Joe with what little he knew and is willing to to look the other way about the rest. At least Love went in with her eyes open and knew better than to trust him completely. *sigh* I miss her. I hope to God you’re wrong.

On a shallow note, I did love Leida’s wedding gown.

I remember that. I don’t know it’s a good or bad thing Fred isn’t around anymore. We sure need the likes of him around, but I wouldn’t want him to be a target. Not that it hasn’t stopped the right-wings from trashing him anyway…

Excited but also kind of annoyed we’re getting this before the final Stranger Things.

Reminded me of Jen’s drunk wedding dancing in She-Hulk, and I love that for her. But I don’t know how she’s going to be able to live with herself knowing that her meddling to cover up her involvement got one of her own friends taken out. This show really isn’t afraid to show the dark side of the rebellion and question whether the ends truly justify the means. Did Tay really deserve to die, not to mention have his life fall apart because he got sucked into all this? Yes, he threatened to sell them out to save his own ass, but considering it was Mon’s idea to recruit him in the first place…it’s just all a big mess. I am officially calling it now: something bad happens to her husband and daughter. This episode reminded us that anyone is fair game if they aren’t in the movies. Hell, we know what happens to Cassian after this show…

Welp, Cromwell is screwed. For a monarch that has been around, Henry really doesn’t know shit about women. Even if he was younger and hotter, it still wouldn’t have been a good idea to surprise her like that. Anne of Cleves did get the best deal out of all the wives, but it came at the cost of Henry running his mouth off to everyone about how ugly she supposedly was in very graphic detail, thus making her permanently ineligible for a better match despite still being a virgin. Then again, being a rich single woman in that time period was a rarity, so not such a bad trade-off.

Best/Worst Sibling Relationships
Spartan Girl replied to Wiendish Fitch's topic in Everything Else About Movies
Velma and Veronica Kelly in Chicago definitely deserve to be in the worst siblings category. Veronica not only was having an affair with Velma’s husband, but they were brazen enough to mess around while all three of them were staying in the same hotel room. And Velma…well, we all know how she retaliated, don’t we? -
Fashion Don'ts: Worst Movie Outfits
Spartan Girl replied to Wiendish Fitch's topic in Everything Else About Movies
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: Maybe I look for too many opportunities to dunk on Willie, but her showgirl outfit was just like her: cheap and gaudy.
